a movie that makes me sad, this one is tough mostly cuz i tend not to look for movies designed to be sad, not because they arn't good but i feel life does enough to make someone sad, my entertainment doesn't need to do it too. i guess i will go with the movie Big Fish, it doesn't make me sad in a depressed or down sorta way, but i do get choked up at several different points.

so i've already failed to do this every day, but i trudge on none the less.

today is A Movie that makes me happy.

this one took me a bit to decide on, lots of movies make me happy, most ones that i enjoy infact. i have decided to go with the Princess Bride, This movie to me just embodies childhood fantasy, i can't help but constantly smile throught the movie and every time. there is just something pure and simple about it that really gives me a large ammount of joy.

2. Most Underrated movie

This one took a bit to think about, wasn't really sure if it meant underrated as in people saw it and don't like it, or something more like movies that never really caught on and because of that are unpopular due to no one having seen it. I went with the latter. thus making this an easy answer for me, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. This is a fantastic movie, the dialog is amazing, the back and forth between Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. is flawless. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

ok so day one, Best movie i saw in the last year. Assuming it means best movie i saw for the first time in the last year a few choices spring to mind immediately, How to train your dragon, Red, The Losers. But at the moment i'm writing this i think i'm going to have to go with Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. i dunno something about it just really strikes a cord with me. I love the music, the actors all do a fantastic job with a wonderfully off beat story. There is honestly nothing i dislike about it, and since getting it on blu-ray i have watched it at least half a dozen times.

So i figured this was as good as any place to ramble, i've not been doing too well lately. it just seems a lot of things in my life refuse to work out, and the positive things i get going end up turning on me as soon as they seem to be solid. I know everyone is having rough times lately and i am by far not the only person out there with troubles, it just seems like they keep compiling and while i've still got a few options out there they all seem like long shots. I feel like i've got no solid ground any more. Anything i thought i knew or understood seems to be slipping away or changing into something else entirely. All my old fall backs to pull myself together just fade away or turn on me. I don't know what to do and i am really scared and upset. At the same time i feel like a selfish jerk any time i try to talk to anyone about all this. Everyone i know is going through seriously tough times, i just don't know any more. i guess that's why i'm rambling here. there are maybe three people left who might see this, still feels nice to write it out so i guess that's at least a little bit of a help. I apologize if this is insanely boring or annoying for anyone, the wall of text that it is, just sorta letting my thoughts hit the page as it were. i guess that's really all i had to say. thanks for reading if you did.

Ok, so i haven't used this thing in years... pretty much forgot i had it for a while. i only know of a few people who even still use this thing. but yeah it's that time of year where i start feeling down and mopey. Lately it's felt like i'm just really not important to anyone in my life. like i'm at best a foot note in the passage of their lives and more often simply an annoyance to be tolerated. It's weird, i'm of two minds on the whole thing, on the one hand i know factually that i'm wrong, or at least i think i am, there are a few people out there that i'm rather sure i matter to in at least some way, though with a few of them it's not in the way that i wish they felt about me, but that's not really a big deal. i know this and yet emotionally i still feel like i don't matter at all. It's quite annoying because even though i've gone over the details of it all in my head it hasn't changed anything about how i feel. Not sure who still reads this, but it kinda feels a bit better just having written this out. for now at least.

So here i am in Maine once again. Dealing with family i don't particularly care for. If that wasn't annoying enough I am reminded of a fact i don't usually care to think of. My father is an alcoholic, a functional one i suppose, but an an alcoholic none the less. It is at it's worst when we are visiting family and friends or when they are visiting us, he prefers to drink to exess when there are others drinking with him, and since i won't he has to wait for company. That doesn't mean he doesn't drink at home or alone, but he drinks less, he doesn't usually get drunk when there is no one but my mom and I around, but i can't think of a single evening he's gone with out at least 2 beers. At least he's not an angry drunk, but it's not only annoying but it's embarassing that he feels the need to pal around with me like this when he's like this, he suddenly thinks we're best buds and that I should just roll with the joke of it all. I'm not exactly sure why I feel the need to prattle on about this but fuck it it's my LJ and i can bitch and whine all i like

In less whiney emo news, I finished the second book in Jim Butcher's newer series. It's called Acadamys Fury i think, the first one was Furys of Caulderon. the name of the series it's self escapes me at the moment. I'm really enjoying the series so far, and i'm still a big fan of his first series The Dresdin Files. i'll be picking up the next book from that series that i need to read (though not the newest book in the series) on Wensday.

Well that test was easy enough. Not much going on today, i should be causing some sort of mischief with the date today and all, but i'm not. Well yet anyways, gonna hang out with an ex of mine later today, havn't really talked to her much but suddenly she wants to be all buddy buddy, somethins probably up but it's getting me out of mowing the lawn so i'll take it. I'll update further as to what happens once i have information about it.

So Lorne went for his TPK last night, and was denied. Largely because Phil showed up as Kelendel to save our asses. I was happy, got to use my Use Magic Device skill to get Grim back into the fight, and then got to dish out lots of sneak attak, mmmm flanking. We did lose Lindz and Jeff, but they came back, it always seems to end up being those two. Now to get grim some more scrolls of Heal, and Restoration, and things of the alike. Ah well i should probably get back to my class work now. Later ^^

In September I punched nikkiana in the arm (-10 points). In July I gave jeren00breaper a kidney (1000 points). In March I helped flowerchild2 see the light (8 points). In October I caught a purse-snatcher who stole reckluse's purse (30 points). Last Saturday I put gum in tobyspit's hair (-12 points).

Overall, I've been nice (1016 points). For Christmas I deserve a pony!
