How do we ensure the electric vehicles of tomorrow deliver optimal performance, even when temperatures drop? We test them under realistic and challenging winter conditions. We recently completed a winter test drive with our propane-based thermal management concept vehicles in the Alps. The goal? To prove the maturity of our technology and gather crucial data on how it enhances an EV's range, comfort, and charging speed in the real world. In the focus: Our heat pump unit using propane as refrigerant, our flexible thermal unit for coolant and our thermal software. Stay tuned as we continue to share exclusive insights from our thermal management test drives. In the meantime, find out more here: https://lnkd.in/d7wTFSV2

A major step towards a new era of steering technology: Bosch Huayu Steering Systems Co., Ltd. , a joint venture between Bosch and Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd, is bringing its new steer-by-wire system into series production with XPENG. The new XPENG GX will be among the first production vehicles to feature this advanced steer-by-wire technology – designed to support advanced driver assistance systems, highly automated driving and software-defined vehicle architectures. Why this matters? Steer-by-wire fundamentally changes how vehicles are controlled: - The mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering gear is replaced by electrical signal lines. - This allows for variable steering ratios, adaptive steering feel as well as standardization of the vehicle platform. - Thus, steer-by-wire enables increased safety, comfort and agility, and creates the flexibility for new interior design concepts. This milestone highlights the importance of strong partnerships across the mobility ecosystem – combining local market expertise with global technology capabilities.

The Bosch AI-powered cockpit at Auto Beijing 2026! 🇨🇳🚗 Recently introduced and now showcased at Auto Beijing for the Chinese market, Bosch is redefining the in-vehicle experience with its latest AI-powered cockpit. The system transforms the vehicle into an intelligent, proactive companion that understands routines, preferences, and context — making interaction more natural, seamless, and personalized. 🧠 Always-on semantic understanding: Instead of keyword-based commands, the system interprets intent and context in real time, enabling more natural interaction — for example, it understands requests like “Pull over at the intersection ahead” without ambiguity. 🤖 Proactive cockpit experience: Beyond reacting to input, the cockpit anticipates needs based on context and user state — for instance, it may suggest closing the windows to reduce background noice if it detects that the driver answered a phone call. 🌐 Full-scenario ecosystem integration: The experience extends beyond the vehicle, connecting to the driver’s digital life at home. Through integration with devices like cameras or fridges, it can even provide reminders, such as alerting you to potentially expired food.
