Janis recorded “Me and Bobby McGee” a few days before she died. So the song couldn’t have been “riding the charts” when we opened for her at the Houston Coliseum in 19669. The song charted in 1971. Bubble Puppy Bites are just my memories. Sorry for the mix-up.
