For several years, and in growing numbers in Texas and throughout the country, schools have been taking a stand against drug abuse by implementing responsible school testing and student drug testing programs. The primary purpose of school testing is not to punish students who use drugs, but to deter use and guide those who test positive into counseling or treatment.<\/p>\n
