Uh, hi.

So, it's been... over a year since I last posted to LJ. I'm not even sure if anybody even posts here regularly anymore. From the looks of my f-list most people seem to have migrated elsewhere. But in danger of sending this out to nobody I'm going to put this out into the void anyway.

First off, LJ, what are your life choices, jesus. Everything has regenerated again, and in the process took a bigger nosedive than Eleven. Shit, man. What happened to the friends page? The... posting format? No wonder your userbase has gone.

Anyway, second, uh, me. Where I've been. Well, not a whole lot has been going on with me. And yet, at the same time a lot kind of has. I was with someone for a while. It was nice until it wasn't. I'd rather not get into it. But anyhow, my life, as it stands:

a) I graduated uni last May. It was a surreal experience, somehow. I kind of miss it; classes and stuff. Since graduating I got one brief temp job at a dull clothing store over Christmas, and nothing else. Soooo, jobless. Boo. Job searching fucking sucks, lemme tell you.

b) And alone too. In more ways than one actually, it's kind of depressing. I'd probably be better not getting into it.

In general, the last year's been kind of tough and a very up-down kind of thing. Currently, it's still on the down side of things. Very down. It's funny, the up-down thing has been pretty... idk, extreme? Like, the high events in my life the past year have been really "this is fucking awesome" kind of high. And the lows have been... pretty painful and depressing. I'm at least feeling a bit better than I was a week or so ago.

But no one wants to hear about that. Let's talk about fandom! Though I... haven't been involved in fandom, really. I'm still loyal to Doctor Who, even though I think it's kind of sucked lately. I'm not that optimistic about Clara or her story, but we'll see what happens I guess. I do like Jenna Louise Coleman and her face and I will still watch. It's lost most of the spark it held for me, though. Season 7....a, or whatever the cool kids are calling it, was rather hit or miss... mostly miss. Amy and Rory got kind of blah, idk.

Hmm. I've been watching that new Holmes remake, Elementary! According to tumblr, it's like Sherlock. Except in all the ways it's definitely not like Sherlock, tumblr. Anyway, it's a very enjoyable show and I recommend it to everyone who likes to be entertained, tbqh. Sherlock/Joan OTP, no regrets.

Uhh, Community is in its forth season and I'm... unsure of where I stand with it. It's still a great show, don't get me wrong. But there's something... missing from it, I suppose. I know Dan Harmon left, but idk. It's not really the writing. I can't put my finger on it exactly. Season three was awesome, awesome television, and I don't think they'll beat it, if I'm honest. That seemed like the show's highest point. But we shall see.

Dexter aired and I got into American Horror Story late last year, but they both aired too long ago for me to give any thoughts, to be honest. I enjoyed both, though.

Oh, Fandom March Madness is currently on. I kinda wanna participate this year. I've been voting. Rooting for Martha! And Joan, of Elementary! And yess, Britta. My favourite of Community.

Anyway, I am very aware that it's been so long a lot of you probably don't even recognise me. lmao And if you wanna take this as an opportunity to defriend me, then by all means, go ahead, I won't be offended.

Oh, also, I did make a tumblr! Since that seems to be where most of fandom went. Nothing there at the moment and I'm only following about 5 blogs because I don't know where the good stuff is. I've mainly been digging through tags and lurking. Toss me some recommendations though! And/or your own tumblrs! You can add me, too, if you want. I'll likely fill it with fandom stuff, like Doctor Who and such, eventually.

oh and the movie was pretty good, too!

So, I watched Sherlock. And now I have ~feelings apparently.

I had problems with the first episode, but honestly I've seen them discussed all over the place and I'd hate to just repeat what everyone else has said. I'll just say that my main quibble, among many, lies in the fact that Irene did not beat Sherlock at the end. You frustrate me, Moffat.

I love John. So much. He remains my favourite forever and I'm glad he seemed to do more than he did last series.

Okay, weird thing to be annoyed about but there are Too. Many. Guns. Owning a gun in the UK is very rare; you need a pretty good reason to have one. And the second episode: even the police don't have guns so Lastrade wouldn't have gotten one from Scotland Yard, but okay, fine, I can buy that maybe Mycroft got him one. And okay, John owns one, fine, we knew that already. But where the hell did Henry get his gun from? And in the third episode, a policeman was carrying one? I find that hard to believe. idk, odd quibble to have maybe but it just annoyed me a bit when owning a gun here is so rare.

Why did Sherlock need to drug John in the second episode....? There wasn't really any need for it, he could have figured out if the sugar was the cause by himself simply enough. Did he just want to scare John like he'd be scared? Because that's pretty dark.

I enjoyed the third episode a lot! (Which might be because I went in expecting it to be terrible since it was penned by the same guy who wrote The Blind Banker, tbh.) Probably more than the other two, even. Although the second one was pretty good, too.

Not that much really surprised me in the third ep (I never really thought Sherlock was dead, this is Sherlock Holmes and Moffat after all) but when Moriarty shot himself I admit I was genuinely shocked. Did not expect that at all.

Speaking of Moriarty, I quite liked how Andrew Scott played him. Which looking around the internet, I think is an unpopular opinion, but *shrug* It's different, and I think he plays it really well.

Okay, I knew Sherlock wasn't dead, I never doubted that, but honestly the end tore me up, regardless. I think it was watching Martin Freeman, knowing that he'd go on however long believing his best friend to be dead. D: Man there are some good actors on this show.

But yeah, anyway. It's better than Doctor Who most of the time, at least, imo.

Speaking of, I also watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Like.... at Christmas, which feels like forever ago now. I don't really have many thoughts on it, tbh? I mean, it was okay I guess.

...lol at me writing paragraphs about Sherlock and a whole four sentences for Doctor Who. How odd.

Anyway, I have more TV thoughts! Spoilers for everything so far in all the following shows.

OMG, THAT FINALE. I SAW IT DAYS AGO AND I'M STILL TOTALLY FLAILING ABOUT IT, AAH. For ages, I've wanted Deb to find out about Dexter, and they leave it like that and asdgfsdgv.

Okay. This season overall was pretty poor, actually. I think I preferred it to series 3... but that's about the only one. There was a lot of plot holes and lazy writing about, I couldn't help noticing. And how many people did Dexter actually kill on his table? The last half a dozen episodes the only people he ever seemed to kill were unintentional (except Travis, obv). Odd complaint maybe, but it didn't make much sense from a characterisation point of view since this is the man who craves killing people, and is usually pretty thorough about doing it the 'right way'.

And then of course there's the Deb/Dexter storyline... I just. I can't get behind that at all. They may not be blood related, but they were brought up together as siblings - Dexter was brought into their family at three years old, when Deb was either a baby or not yet born, I'm assuming. They've pretty much spent their entire childhood as siblings. I guess they're going to use the Deb is in love with Dexter thing to cause more ~drama or whatever now she's found out what he does, but... honestly they could have made enough drama with them as just close siblings. And Deb still wouldn't go to the police, probably (assuming that's where they're going with this - I think it will be), I mean she didn't in the books, did she? I don't think I'd mind so much if it didn't come out of nowhere, actually. But I really don't think they alluded to it really until the end of the season...

I don't know. Basically, I'm just not down with that and found it disappointing. The final 10 seconds pretty much made me forgive the writers though, ngl. WHAT WILL HAPPEN. GDI, THERE'S LIKE A 10 MONTH WAIT NOW.

That last episode... I really wasn't expecting that at all. For some reason I just kind of assumed they'd be stretching the superhoodie storyline for another few seasons. But nope. Alisha's dead, Simon's gone back in time to die. I'm quite impressed; I'll miss them, but I think killing them both off was a bold move and it seems like a clear-cut, closed loop ending to that story thread (assuming the guy who writes Misfits doesn't decide to try and 'fix it' for whatever reason). Moffat should take notes.

This season overall was pretty good - better than season two, imo, not quite up there with season one. I love Kelly and am glad she's getting more attention. I also found myself really enjoying Curtis, too - his storyline was interesting. Rudy is mostly meh; I guess he's okay and kind of funny when he's not considering raping people, goddamn. I didn't really miss Nathan that much though, which is good because I thought I really would at the start. (And lol at them not using any of the clips with him in the 'previously on Misfits' parts.)

Anyway, I look forward to series 4, which will bring one or two new cast members I'm assuming.

This season has been pretty damn awesome. INSPECTOR SPACETIME. omg, amazing. My favourite episode was probably the 'seven separate timelines' one. The timeline where Troy got the pizza made me laugh so hard.

Also, what's the deal with this hiatus thing they've got going? Is the show in danger of being cancelled? (Please god, no. Community is flawless.)

Uh. Hi. It's been, like, 11 months since I went on that hiatus? Long, long time. But I am alive! And back now! (well, sorta, no promises, uh...)

Sorry, I didn't mean to disappear for that long, and I wouldn't blame you if you're currently wondering who the fuck this random person on your flist is and had forgotten I exist or whatever. Or if you have/have wanted to defriend me. I'll leave this as a green light to do just that if you want.

Anyway, a lot has happened in my life since January, but umm it's not worth going into and I don't feel like talking about it right now anyway (except that we got a doggy! That's always worth mentioning).

Let's talk about TV instead! Series 6 of Doctor Who has aired. And it's all pretty much old news now, lol, but I'mma go on about it anyway:

I... didn't like Series 6 as much as Series 5. It had great episodes - The Doctor's Wife, especially, was easily my favourite, it was wonderful, and I quite liked The Rebel Flesh/The Almost people, too. But it also had not... so great episodes. The series opener and the mid-series finale both had me just ????? in a worse way than The Big Bang did. idk, just... I can't even state all the plot holes, there are so many. (Also, did the Doctor really have all of humanity commit genocide? What.)

And River is Amy's daughter... well, I'd already read that theory online and I was kinda hoping for something... something, idk, something less fanfictiony, I guess. idk it was just a bit... anti-climactic?

Then S6b happened and no one cares about Melody now? I mean, I know Let's Kill Hitler put forth the idea that River already had been brought up as a 'weapon' to kill the Doctor, but Moffat's done the time can be rewritten thing before, so... c'mon, he could have tried harder.

Seriously though, why do Amy and Rory not care about getting back their daughter now? Why are they not furious with the Doctor?

That said, ignoring the Melody plot, episodes 10 through 12 were very good. I especially liked the one set in the hotel (for which the title has totally escaped me). Problem is, I feel like I've just been watching for the odd, good episode lately. Kinda sucks.

'The Wedding of River Song' was... yeah.

I don't even know. It had the few good bits, but mostly it was... problematic and plot holes galore.

I could talk more about it, but... I can't be bothered to list everything I disliked right now. So I'll just shut up.

But for now, D- Moffat, try harder next time.

I've also been watching Dexter, Misfits, The Walking Dead and Community, and might articulate my thoughts on them at some point, idk.

But anyway. It's been like... a year. What's new with you?

Wow, it's been a while since I updated D: Sorry, I was swamped with school work in the run up to Christmas, and then I had a bunch of Christmas-y stuff to get done. Ah. Anyway, Christmas day was good! Me and the family went down to my aunt's, who lives near London. It was fun. I ate too much, drank too much and we played Uno ten million times. And I got a digital camera! Yay!

Um. Anyway. Also, watched Doctor Who Christmas Special and I have some thoughts on it.

THE GOOOOOOD

☻ It was so beautifully filmed, god damn. Everything just looked so pretty. I loved that.

☻ bb!Kazran was so cute, bless him.

☻ YoungAdult!Kazran was... rather attractive. I enjoyed that actor very much.

☻ I legit got a little teary when Dumbledore!Kazran and bb!Kazran met, and hugged after Dumbledore almost hit him. Admittedly, it was insane and wtf for reasons I'll get into soon, but god if it didn't make me a little teary. Probably a combination of hormones and my own ~daddy issues~

☻ ARTHUR DARVILL. ARTHUR DARVILL IN THE TITLE OPENING! :D :D I could get used to that.

☻ "Guys. We've got to go quickly. I just accidentally got engaged to Marilyne Monroe." OH ELEVEN ILU SO MUCH, NEVER CHANGE.

☻ Abigail was very pretty and I loved her singing. ♥

☻ I thought Michael Gambon did a fantastic job as (older)Kazran.

☻ And D'AWWWW FOREVER AT AMY/RORY. AND KISSING. :D

☻ lol, there were moments in this episode where I thought 'TEN/ROSE :D' even though I'm pretty sure they weren't what Moff had in mind. But w/e, I do what I want.

☻ LOL SPACE FISH.

THE NOT SO GOOD

☻ My biggest complaint: NEEDS MOAR COMPANIONS. I mean, Amy and Rory weren't in the promos or anything so I didn't expect there to be much of them, but they got about six lines between them? PHHTTTT. DO NOT APPROVE AT ALL.

☻ Why... wasn't.... there a paradox when the two Kazran's hugged? And... how could the Doctor change Kazran's past...? I thought he couldn't do that.... but okay. Whatever. This is Doctor Who.

☻ Why were those people in the freezers, and why didn't the Doctor care that much? Why was Abigail dying? idk, I have so many questions, and Moffat isn't answering them. He seems to be doing that a lot lately, and I don't really approve... Maybe it just requires a rewatch.

Um, but anyway. Overall, I really enjoyed it. One of the better Xmas Specials, I thought. Perhaps my third or forth favourite Christmas Special once I ignore the plot holes.

I've been crap at keeping up with lj and checking my flist lately. I'm sorry! Life's been knocking me down a lot lately.

Anyway, I saw Harry Potter on Sunday. I was going to post a review earlier, but life sort of got in the way.

My verdict (which includes many spoilers):

The Good

♥ The Tale of the Three Brothers was told perfectly, imo. I've always loved that story, and I think they got it just right. Probably my favourite part of the whole film.

♥ Hermione obliviating her parents was sufficiently heartbreaking. I teared up, ngl.

♥ The way both Hedwig and Dobby died! D: D:

♥ Ron/Hermione was very cute in this film. I'll admit that Dan and Emma probably have more chemistry, but the cute, little Ron/Hermione scenes were excellent anyway, and Rupert and Emma did them well.

♥ The seven Potters scene, the fight with the Death Eaters that followed, and the Burrow scene afterwards. Very similar to how I imagined it actually.

♥ Luna and Xenophilius Lovegood. They were awesome. (Also, I found Xenophillius strangely attractive... O_o)

♥ Those who played the trio at the ministry were really good.

♥ The silver doe scene and Harry almost drowning. And the locket opening. I liked the touch with the spiders. And I actually wasn't bothered by Harry and Hermione making out as much as others were. It was a short scene anyway, and it was in the book, so...

♥ The Bathilda Bagshot and Nagini scene was amazing. Also, Harry seeing his parent's graves made me tear up.

♥ Hermione's torture scene was upsetting, as it should be. And anyone who says Emma can't act needs to watch than scene, because clearly she can act, and act well. A little kid in the row in front of us actually told her dad she didn't like it and it made her uncomfortable. Which just shows it was done very well, really.

They could have done better...

♣ I mentioned the locket scene above, and I do like a lot of it. But I just wish they'd have placed more emphasis on Ron and Harry's friendship. There was no hug. There was no 'I see her as a sister' speech. Not even an 'All of that sounds cooler than it was. I've been telling you that for years'. Why? D:

♣ Voldemort was weird at the beginning. Idk, he seemed really giddy, it was off-putting tbh...

♣ MOAR RON NEEDED (lol as always in these films). AND MORE LUPIN. AND MOAR KREACHER'S TALE. AND WHERE WAS DEAN??

♣ Grindelwald and Dumbledore's plans to use the Deathly Hallows, and their relationship in general, was not addressed at all. I hope they explain it and give them some proper screen time in Part Two. (I also found Young!Grindelwald attractive, I might add)

♣ This film is pretty confusing to anybody who hasn't already read the books. I went with six others, and only one person, besides myself, had read them all (ik ik, who are these poor people?). They were pretty confused at the end (though they did all seem to enjoy it).

I think that's all I have to say... Overall, I enjoyed it immensely and would go see it again in a heartbeat if I wan't totally broke. Can't wait for Part Two!

I've been a terrible friend lately. Sorry. I blame NaNo, it has taken over my life.

But I do have a few things I want to talk about.

1. 16,020 WORDS DOWN, FUCK YEAH

2. I watched the first two episodes of The Walking Dead, and thought they were awesome. Awesome show.

~ Glenn is my favourite.

~ I totally cheered when Rick gave that racist, sexist douche what was coming to him, and I didn't feel particularly sorry when they left him up on that roof alone.

~ When they were chopping up that body I thought it was really disgusting. Really.

~ I don't understand the Lori/Shane thing at all. How long has Rick been gone, like a month?

~ Climbing ladders and using rocks? Those Zombies are smart. o_O

3. Dexter was also awesome. I'm liking this season a lot.

4. NEW SERIES OF MISFITS STARTS ON THURSDAY. EXCITE. The newest trailer has me all excited. :D I got my brother into the show recently, and he loves it, too. He marathoned it over the weekend. Should I feel guilty about introducing a thirteen year old to an 18 rated show? Possibly, but w/e, he's mature enough, and a lot of it is nothing he hasn't heard at school.

AND W/E GOOGLE CHROME, 'MARATHONED' IS TOTALLY A WORD. LOOK AT YOU, YOU DON'T EVEN THINK 'GOOGLE' IS A WORD FFS. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE.

it's halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

My brother put up some awesome decorations this year. We have a proper grave right outside in our front garden. It has a gravestone and a 'dead body' in it and everything. Also, there's a light nearby that shines on it whenever trick or treaters walk down the drive to the house. There's also a creepy voice that sounds when you stand just outside the door. The kid's are both ecstatic and terrified by it all, it's pretty funny. We also have half a dozen pumpkins hanging around and creepy pictures in the windows. I'd take a photo, except I don't own a camera :( (I might get a neat digital camera for Christmas though! That would be awesome omg).

Anyway, I've not been doing anything this year - just handing out sweets, casting people for my NaNo novel (I'll post who I've cast here, y/y?), and trying to convince myself NaNo was a good idea (I already have so much to do, how will I survive November).

What's everyone else up to?

I'm seriously considering doing NaNoWriMo this year. I actually signed up for it last year, but never bothered to actually write anything because I convinced myself I didn't have the time. Well, I have about just as much time available as last year (probably more actually), but this time I'm determined. There are others out there who leave an hour or so a day for it with much busier schedules than mine, and what do I have to lose, right?

Problem is, I don't really have a plot formed. I have the four main characters formed in my mind, and vague ideas involving time travel (probably my very favourite trope) and dreams and short snaps of dialogue between characters. But that's it. I have no real plot, and it's driving me mad. I know I want it to be a sort of gritty, drama-full fantasy though.

I'll probably not get the full 50,000 words, but at least I can say I tried...

In other news, I have a headache that feels as thought someone is continually hitting me over the head with a hammer. AHSGJDKLFD OW.

The BBC released their Autumn/Winter Drama line up trailer, and for some reason I find it so amusing that Christopher Eccleston, David Tennnat and Matt Smith are all in it. They even appear one after the other near the end. Also, there's new Doctor Who footage! (Very small, but w/e I take what I can get.)

I watched Dexter earlier this week. Don't have much to say, other than I absolutely adored it. One of the better Season premiers.

I. I had a good birthday yesterday. To celebrate, I went out for a Chinese with a couple of friends, my mum, dad, brother, aunt, uncle and my uncle's (very pregnant) girlfriend. It was pretty awesome, I had a good time. It was nice to see everyone; especially since my uncle and his girlfriend, Louise, hardly ever visit - Louise is huge now though, their baby is due this coming Tuesday.

II. In case you somehow missed it, there is a clip from the cancelled Rex is Not Your Lawyer, and it shows David Tennant's... um.... questionable.. accent:

lol, once I realised that was David speaking, I broke out into laughter. idek.

I'm so confused by the whole thing. I mean, I remember reading a review about Rex a couple of months ago that said Tennant's accent was "as good as Hugh Laurie's". And idk, either the guy who wrote that doesn't think much of Hugh Laurie, or he is a little deaf, because that accent... well, at times it actually sounds a little Scottish. Not great.

idk why they even wanted him to be American in the first place when he has a perfectly ~~sexy~~ good Scottish accent.

III. Small, random thing: I'm continuing on my (rather slow) reread of Harry Potter, and I'm filled with all sorts of odd questions that I know don't get answered.

Like, where do these students keep clean at Hogwarts? Because Harry never seems to shower or bathe at all (with the exception of that bath in GoF). How long is each school day? How does Snape get away with all the crap he does to these students? How can Dennis Creevey also be wizard like his brother when both boys are muggleborns - how do wizard genetics even work? How can Harry and Ron not find their lessons fascinating when it's god damned magic they're studying here? Why does Slytherin exist?

W/E I HAVE FIND THIS STUFF V INTERESTING.

Also, my least favourite character, Professor Umbridge, is now their teacher, and whenever she shows up I am just like

Gah, I've been neglecting lj rectently, I'm sorry flist. I've been reading, I just haven't been commenting. I've been so tired lately, idk why. It's not like I've been doing much - I've either been at work, reading Harry Potter, out with friends, playing those god damn addicting free online games or playing Sims 3. I'm kind of missing university if I'm honest. I want to get back to uni, but classes don't start again until the 28th of September. Agh.

It's my birthday on Saturday, and I'll turn nineteen, which as I hear from my brother makes me practically an old lady. I don't think I'll be doing much; just going out with a couple friends and family for a meal, and maybe having a bit of a celebration afterwards idk.

I'm way behind on the Harry Potter meme. So, have a couple here, real quick.

I watched Sherlock yesterday, and enjoyed it a lot more than last week's. It was really entertaining throughout, and I thought the plot and writing was much better. This episode and the first episode are about drawing for my favourite.

When that old woman was strapped to that bomb... man. D: And when you could hear that child, also strapped to a bomb, counting down from ten. D: Powerful stuff.

I really liked the guy who played Moriarty. Apparently I'm in the minority, but I thought he was brilliant. He's so childish, playful in the way he speaks to Sherlock, but there's also something unhinged, dangerous and ridiculously creepy about him. I suppose my acceptance of him could be to do with my ignorance when it comes to the source material (apparently he's supposed to be older?). Ah well, w/e. I loved him. I thought the actor who played him was great.

Totally called John being the last guy to be strapped to the bomb, especially with John and Sherlock's "Do you even care when people are in danger?" talk. A nice bit of Sherlock/John subtext at the end, too.

AND THAT ENDING. THAT ENDING. OMG. O__O HOW COULD THEY LEAVE IT THERE? And they were seriously unsure as to whether there'd be a series two? With an ending like that??!!

Anyway, I find the Doctor strangely attractive. Normally I wouldn't find Matt Smith or Chris Eccleston attractive, for example. But as Nine, or Eleven? Hot. Basically, I have a big crush on the Doctor.

I've been meaning to make an entry for ages but forgot/was lazy. Oops.

Anyway.

Yeah, I saw Inception on Sunday. I thought it was pretty damn good. I went with my mum and a friend, and we spent a good deal speculating on the ending on the way back home. I don't feel too strongly one way or another about the characters (except ~~Leo still~~ Dom looks pretty hot in a suit). The whole idea behind it was excellent though, and I would definitely buy the DVD. I even got myself some Inception icons!

I also saw the second instalment of Sherlock on Sunday evening, and I liked it less that the first one. I mean, it was okay... I think. It seemed slower, though. And although it had its moments, overall I found it less enjoyable, and kind of dull tbh. Sarah was pretty cool though, even if she didn't get to do much.

Also, wtf with the all the Asian stereotypes in there? Evil Chinese cult? Seriously? Seriously? Not cool. I'll watch the next episode, because I thought A Study in Pink was good, but I expect better next time, Moffat. >:(

1. I started my new job yesterday, and went in today, too. It mostly involves sorting and tagging clothes, and occasionally operating the till so far. It's easy enough, though not particularly stimulating in itself, but some of the people I meet are lovely, and really interesting. Like one of my co-workers I was working alongside today told me about this watch she was donating, and through it ended up telling me half her life story - it was very interesting, actually. She's done some great things. So yeah, overall it's been okay so far, and it feels good to know I'm helping the charity. Though my feet are aching like mad.

2. I've been seeing a lot of old pictures of Benedict Cumberbatch (known as Holmes in Sherlock and having THE BEST NAME EVER) in various places on the internet, and omg I think he knows every actor in Britain. I've seen him with David Tennant, John Simm, Matt Smith (and Moffat), Mark Gatiss and Philip Glenister so far, in separate photos. And since we only have about 12 actors in drama over here anyway, I doubt there's many left for him to meet lol.

3. I really need to see Inception. I feel like the only one in the world who hasn't seen it yet.

Uh, if I had to pick - Hallows I guess, because Invisibility Cloak!! That's the only thing that appeals to me, though, because I wouldn't really know what to do with an Elder Wand tbh, and the Resurection Stone just sounds creepy. Better than splitting your soul into seven though, jesus.

idk idk. I'd say Hermione, except I'd rather procrastinate than work a lot of the time, tbh, lol. Tonks? I'm quite clumsy irl, and would probably end up in Hufflepuff.

Uhhm, I always loved Ron/Hermione, ngl. They were my total Harry Potter OTP, and from about GoF I suspected they'd end up together. And I totally gave a little squee when they kissed in DH. That said, I never participated in fandom or anything so I wasn't totally obsessed. Other than that, I don't really ship anything... Hm, I ship Harry and Ron's bromance?

I watched Sherlock yesterday (the BBC modern day adaptation, written by Steven Moffat). It was really very awesome, ngl. I didn't know what to expect, and was kind of expecting it to be... not that great? for some reason. But it was a really well acted and well scripted piece of drama. I'd definitely recommend it. I can't wait for episode two next Sunday.

I also watched A Very Potter Sequel. It was pretty good; just as funny as the first, though I don't think the songs were as catchy.

omg, it was so good. I loved Ken, every scene he was in was so damn awesome. And Potato Head as a Tortilla and a Hot Dog was so amusing, lmao. Buzz speaking Spanish was also amazing, and Buzz/Jessie, yes ♥

Woody has always been my favourite, and I loved him so much in this one. DON'T BE SAD WOODY, I LOVE YOU! I think he was my first crush or something (lol, don't judge, you know he be handsome).

And, yes, it made me sob. I feel like I grew up with Andy, ffs. I started crying at the beginning with the video tape, and was a mess in the last 20 minutes or so. THE INCINERATOR PART WHERE THEY'RE HOLDING HANDS. AND ANDY HUGGING HIS MUM. AND ANDY PLAYING WITH THE TOYS ONE LAST TIME. AND ANDY'S "Thanks, guys." OMG, JUST KILL ME.

It's strange though; I'm surprised I'm so attached and emotional. I mean, I do remember watching Toy Story as a kid on video and enjoying it. And I remember seeing Toy Story 2 at the cinema - it wasn't as good as the first, I thought, though that's possibly because I didn't like Jessie very much and was afraid she would get with Woody, and I was like NO, WOODY IS MY BOYFRIEND, GET OFF BITCH. lol, I like her okay now though. But you know, the Toy Story films were never really great favourites of mine. I mean I really liked them a lot, but I preferred stuff like The Lion King and Aladdin, lol.

But god, this film felt like my childhood just died. Jesus, my toys are gone and I am old and life is terrible.

Also, although I thought Bonnie was cute, I still can't quite accept that they are her toys now. w/e, Andy lives just around the corner from Bonnie, so in ten years she'll give them back and they will belong to Andy and Andy jr okay.

Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they've ignored important parts of the book?

lol, all of them? I think the worst is probably Prisoner of Azkaban though. It's great as a film - it's entertaining, and it had that dark magical side that I personally thought the first two were lacking somewhat. I love the scenery, the director was great in this. But. The Marauders? Why weren't they there? My dad and my brother haven't read the Potter books (ikr, how sad), and they left the theatre a bit confused when I mentioned the Marauders. They left The Half Blood Prince pretty confused, too. The film missed out way too much Voldemort backstory in that. The point of the horcruxes was that they're found in objects Voldemort keeps as treasures. That wasn't in the film at all.

Though tbh, I've always had smaller nitpicks about the films. I remember being annoyed about how Ron doesn't look like the Ron I pictured. Where are his freckles? Why isn't he really tall (fair enough, he's taller than Harry, but DanRad is pretty short anyway, tbh)? And a bigger nitpick: WHY IS HE REDUCED TO GOOFY SIDE-KICK ALL THE TIME, AND WHY IS THE AWESOME HARRY/RON BROMANCE NOT AS AWESOME AS IT SHOULD BE? I love Harry's friendship with Hermione, but I've always considered him closer to Ron. The films don't show that at all.

Don't get me wrong, I love Rupert and I think he's a great actor. The films don't give him material he can shine with nearly enough.

And Harry...

Hermione is pretty close to how I imagined her actually. I don't even care about her hair not being really bushy in later films, it's how she looked in my head, okay. Though her always getting Ron's lines sort of annoys me.

lol, idek. I've been sitting here for the past ten minutes, trying to think of the movie I loved more than the others, but idk, I've loved and hated all six released. Most of them are fantastic as films, and very entertaining, but they all miss a lot out, and it does bug me.

But okay, I watched Goblet of Fire the other day, and since it's most clear in my mind and I loved it much more than I remember the first time I saw it, I'm gonna have to go with that one. Dumbledore in this movie is probably the only thing that seriously bugged me. But Dumbledore bugs me in most films after the second.
