Great.

I already got the NOL on my ass, and I've barely set foot in the damn city. Can't say I'm not surprised, but... why the hell is he there? I know he's not the one that Master mentioned, but still. Having him there's gonna be a bigger pain in the ass than I can probably deal with at this point.

Doesn't help that damn goddess decided to let him know about me ... [There's the sound of punching something] That bitch... I swear she's got nothing better to do than to make my life hell. And I thought Rabbit was annoying enough.

[A long, resigned sigh.] ... you know, just when I thought things were gonna be easy.

First I get hammered beyond belief and don't remember most of it, apparently got into several barfights and other things I'm not even going to begin to mention, now this.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's getting a sense of foreboding.

(Last part referring to Jin joining the comm, even though he hasn't been properly intro'd yet. BROTHER SENSES TINGLING, basically.)

There's nothing for a moment, but then Ragna sits up, blinking. He glances to his right hand, flexing it -

"What the hell...?"

He blinks again - his voice sounds calmer, younger. And his right arm - he doesn't feel the Azure. He tries to look around, trying to find something, anything - and promptly ends up tripping, and only through sheer reflex is he able to catch himself and keep from falling into a river that appeared. He stares at his reflection - blonde hair, both eyes are green -

"I - Impossible..."

This was surreal. Wait, did that mean -

He stands quickly, only to turn and sprint. Nononono not now please don't let it happen again -

And he stares in horror, a church burning in front of him. He's frozen, hands shaking. "No... Jin! Saya!" He's tearing forward, only to end up tripping over his own feet and start rolling. A figure, faint if only for the glowing green around him, has his hands on Jin's shoulders -

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY BROTHER YOU BASTARD! JIN, GET SAYA! RUN!" Why was this happening, he just wanted them to live happily together, stop this -

And a searing pain shoots up his right shoulder, and something rolls away. It's not for a few moments until Ragna realizes that it's his arm.

And he screams.

Things suddenly fade, and he's laying prone, breathing uneven and feeling like his entire body's on fire. "D-dammit..." Rain falls above him, mixing with his tears. Until a pair of hands are on his face.

"Kanna?!" He's blinking, and he can feel the Azure in his arm - he's back to normal. Well, as normal as he can get anyway.

But there's a shadow behind her, glowing green, and a wide, eerie smile -

"Not you too - RUN, YOU IDIOT!" He can't move ohgod why wasn't this working -

And there's warmth seeping onto his chest, and her face - so much like Saya's - is frozen in horror.

There's a burst of darkness, then... nothing.

[There's nothing but silence for the longest time, panting, then a startled yell - one that echoes through the forest where Ragna's currently camped out, and a deep growl]

Goddammit... why am I having that dream?

[A pause, then a loud "Tch!"] And why did she show up - [There's a loud THUNK, rustling of a few trees, and then the feed cuts]

(Nightmare tiem for Raggie~ This would happen to be a variant of the church incident where Ragna lost his arm, but with the addition of Kanna being there as well and being killed by Terumi. FUN TIMES.)

[The device that Ragna's been using as a communication device cuts in on the Cauldron, a familiar place if you've seen where Ragna had fought v-13 and was dragged into the pit behind him, though at this point, it doesn't look like it's been activated at this point. He's cut and bleeding, growling at a white-clad figure standing opposite him. The figure is unscathed, especially in comparison to Ragna, who's bleeding and snarling like a wild animal.]

God...dammit...

[He collapses to his knees, coughing up blood before he oddly enough, begins to glow. He's still injured and everything else, but he's... glowing. And it seems like he's fading in and out of existence for the moment, but Hakumen begins to speak once Ragna collapses to the ground.]

I shall bend the world - the past and future - to my will. Now rest in peace, Ragna the Bloodedge... my brother.

[He takes his mask off, but the feed cuts out where it would be, only showing Ragna's surprised expression. He then lets out a huff of air, a weak laugh as he lays there]

So the crybaby's acting all big now ... you cheeky bastard. I should've known...

[Hakumen doesn't say anything, turning slowly to walk away. The feed shows Ragna laying there, on the verge of death, but he's not going just yet.]

(ANOTHER ENDING, COMPLETE. ICly, you guys only have a couple minutes until Ragna's gone for this ending, then he should be back in time before Kanna's death. :> All replies voice!)

Anyway, he's in a clearing outside of the entrance of Kagutsuchi when Eris's explosions go off, and muttering under his breath, activates a camouflage Ars just in case.]

There we go... alright. In, out, done and over with. I don't want to be here longer than I need to be. [There's a small growl in his voice as he says that, heading in. Though his stomach growls as he continues on]

Not gonna lie, this is probably some of the heaviest research I've had to do for a canon, and I RP from GUILTY GEAR. :| Anyway, for those of you that don't know Blazblue and don't want to be spoiled, I advise you to get the hell away from this entry, because there will be heavy discussion of spoliers.

Okay, so. First off, the game I took Ragna from - Blazblue: Calamity Trigger? Takes place in a timeloop. Kinda like Higurashi and Umineko. Though in this case, the timeloop is mostly responsible by parties that aren't even hinted at until Continuum Shift, the second game in the series. Unfortunately for us, Continuum Shift has only been recently released in Japan - the arcade version, at that. Which means we won't see the console version in Japan for a while yet, let alone the English version. :T

My big thing is that I'm new to pulling characters through "multiple endings" like this - any help would be much appreciated.

Anyway. With that, I'm putting Ragna through multiple endings before finally moving on to the true ending and moving into Continuum Shift, which takes place a week after the True Ending.

The endings I'm planning on doing are behind a cut for courtesy purposes -

Ragna's Comedy Ending - After fighting through everyone and nearly getting cut down by Hakumen, Jubei tells Ragna that it's not time yet, and he takes him aside after Ragna goes off on him. Later, Ragna and Taokaka are pigging out at a local restaurant in Orient Town, and they both realize that they have no money to pay the bill. Unfortunately, this forces Ragna to have to pull dine-and-dash, grabbing Tao as they head out. This is where his "After all the shit I've done, I'll be a laughingstock if I'm taken in because of dine-and-dash!" line comes from. [Reference.]

Jin's Alternate Ending - After Jin gets impaled by v-13, he witnesses her and Ragna fighting, only to have Ragna get impaled on one of her swords, and the two fall into the Cauldron together. Jin then witnesses the rebirth of the Black Beast, which formed when the two's blood mixed together. [Reference.]

Hakumen's Alternate Ending - Ragna gets cut down by Hakumen, and he admits to being a future alternate version of Jin. It's... actually kinda sad, really. D: [Reference.]

Ragna's Clear Ending - After fighting v-13, Ragna gets impaled by her, falls into the Cauldron, but before the Black Beast is reborn, Kagutsuchi is blasted and destroyed. [Reference.] ... and I completely forget that v-13 is fucking creepy as hell. D:

And finally - The Game's True Ending.
- Ragna uses an Ars in order to sneak into the city undetected, and talks with Jubei before entering. Noel talks with Hazama about how Jin went under a crazy episode when he finds out about Ragna coming into Kagutsuchi. Unfortunately, our intrepid anti-hero gets taken on a side-trip by Rachel. :T [Part 1]

- After Ragna fights Rachel, she transports him inside the Library branch, which is surprisingly empty, aside from Jin. Cue another yandere episode from Jin and another fight. Noel and Hazama find Jin, and Noel eventually moves forward while Ragna moves on to the Cauldron. [Part 2]

- Ragna ends up at the Cauldron, and is stopped in his tracks by Hakumen, who he ends up fighting. Twice. :|b (Also, in the second fight, you get to see Ragna's Astral Heat - Black Onslaught. IT HURTS.) Noel comes down, and when she does, the Cauldron activates. Noel seems to be stuck in some sort of trance, when v-13 shows up. She has no control over herself, and we find out here that she and v-13 [also known as "Nu"] are one and the same - clones of Jin and Ragna's dead sister, Saya. [Part 3]

- After Noel successfully defeats v-13, she can't move and is just about to be killed by her predecessor when Ragna shows up to block the blows and have his shot at the Saya clone. Unfortunately, afterward, Ragna gets assaulted by an onslaught of blades and he's forced into the Cauldron with v-13. And Raggie has a flashback of Saya. ;; As Ragna snaps out of it, he realizes that Noel is yelling at him and telling him to give her his hand so he won't get pulled in further. Once the two are out, Noel starts beating on him and calling him stupid while crying, of course, Ragna's dumbfounded. Rachel shows up again, implying that she's the figure Noel's seen in her dreams. Also, we find out that Ragna doesn't have the true Azure Grimiore, but an imitation, and that Noel's the true inheritor of the Azure.

Also, Rachel wields a gigantic Nox Nyctores - it's called the Tsukiyomi Unit, which she uses to deflect a blast from another Nox Nyctores in spaaaaaaace (Take-Mikuzuchi), which tries to blow up Kagutsuchi (as per Ragna's Clear Ending). [Part 4]

- Ragna can even feel the aftershock from the deflection underground, which piques his curiosity. Noel wakes up, and promptly tries arresting him, which... fails. Horribly. Anyway, Hazama shows up and reveals his creepy. Rachel quickly teleports there and warns Noel not to look at Hazama, and she and Ragna attempt to double-team Terumi, who has now revealed himself.

Now, it's debatable if Terumi possessed Jin to cut off his arm or if Terumi did it himself. I have no idea, myself. Personally I'm in the camp that believes that Terumi possessed Jin to do it.

MOVING ON.

Terumi starts irritating Ragna to the point of provoking him to attack, until Rachel interrupts and stands between them. Apparently she's the only one out of the three that can stand up to him. Terumi eventually leaves, and it's revealed that Kokonoe has been watching as well, and she also wants Terumi's blood. :x Ragna kinda ends up taking Noel in as a surrogate sister, according to Continuum Shift. [Part 5]

So, my order of endings will be as follows, methinks - Ragna's Comedy Ending, Ragna's Clear Ending, Hakumen's Alternate ending, Jin's Alternate Ending [Kind of more depends if I get a Jin by that point or not, really], then the True Ending.

Moving on - if anyone wants to pop in during any of these shenanigans or would like to just generally plot with Raggie here, let me know!

History: Originally, Ragna, his brother Jin, and his sister Saya lived together as orphans in an old church. They lived fairly well together, however, as Saya had contracted a disease, Ragna began to pay more attention to her than to Jin, which ignited his jealousy, which would make things... interesting between the two from there on out.

Anyway, Ragna had left the church one day in order to fetch some water for the others, contemplating how he was going to surprise Jin with something, since he hadn't been playing with him lately on account of Saya's condition. But what he found when he returned was nothing short of disaster. The church was burning, Saya was nowhere to be found, and a smiling Jin was standing outside the burning building.

Ragna tried to get some answers out of his brother, but the next thing he knew, he was on the ground, screaming and writhing in pain – as it was that his right arm had been cut off. He slipped in and out of consciousness for a while, only to be approached by a figure he would later know as Rachel Alucard. She offered to help him out and bit him, turning him into a dhampir as well as awakening his darkness-affiliated abilities.

After finding out about the fact that Saya was kidnapped and was being cloned for her abilities, Ragna swore to himself to destroy every last clone as well as every branch of the Novis Orbis Librarium as a result.

Fast forward a few years and we have the Ragna of today – he's now a SS-class criminal wanted for the destruction many of the Librarium's branches, and he's well on his way to destroying more. The fragment of the Azure that he has is now permanantly part of his body, taking the form of his right arm - however, it's pitch-black, and he usually keeps what looks like wards on it, if his younger sprites in Story Mode show. ... or something like that.

Personality: If there's one word to describe Ragna, it's reckless. He often rushes into situations without thinking about them first, and it tends to end poorly for him in the end. He's overly aggressive at times, especially where certain triggers and/or people are concerned. His reckless and impulsive nature also doesn't seem to help him when he's supposed to be incognito in order to stay under the bounty hunters' radar – he somehow tends to draw the attention of those he doesn't want to meet, though if he actually tried, it would be a bit more difficult for them to pick up on. He's also fairly blunt when it comes to talking, which also means he has a tendency to curse.

A lot.

But he's not really that bad of a guy once you get to know him – he was nice enough to let Taokaka eat with him at one point when she was hungry, and he spares Arukane in one story path – even though the creature was causing trouble for everyone else.

Hilariously enough, he just considers his criminal label as nothing more than a hindrance, getting more irritated than anything when it's somehow brought up. (Though it is funny when he comments about it during his “humorous ending” with Taokaka, where he says something along the lines of “After all the crap I did, I'm not getting arrested for dine-and-dash!”)

Another amusing thing is the fact that Ragna hates ghosts. Nobody know exactly why that is, bue he tends to stiffen up and get worried whenever it's mentioned.

Powers: Ragna is considered to be the Sol Badguy of the Blazblue universe for good reason. partially thanks to his damphir powers (Blame Rachel for that one) and the fact that he possesses the Azure Grimoire, a very powerful Armagus. In the Blazblue world, Armagus such as the Grimoire are extremely powerful magical weapons. However, unknown to most of the cast and Ragna himself, the Grimoire that he possesses is merely a fragment of an imitation, which, when coupled with that of v-13's, would awaken the Black Beast, a monster that had plagued the world in the past. [this is where shit gets convoluted with the timeloop and everything, but getting back on-topic-]

Most of Ragna's abilities center around darkness, and most of his special attacks have the ability to sap some life from the opponent, mostly thanks to the Blood-Scythe he carries. Oddly enough, in some cases, he seems to be able to summon a demonic-looking creature with some of his dark attacks, although if that's an actual summon or just his energy manifesting in that form is up to debate. Ragna can also transform his entire body into darkness in order to attack.

Using the imitation Grimoire, Ragna can also enter a state called Blood Kain, which allows for him to gain substantial increases in speed and attack power, but at the cost of sapping his own energy away, which makes it crucial for him to hit his opponent in order to at least gain some of his energy back.

He was trained by one of the Six Heroes of old, Jubei, who is considered to be one of the strongest individuals on the planet - so to say that Ragna has considerable swordfighting ability is fairly accurate.

Weapons: Ragna's main weapon of choice is the aforementioned Blood-Scythe, which usually sits in a sword-like form. When he activates it, however, it shifts into an actual scythe, and he is able to more effectively steal life from his opponents.
