First Tutorial

Here's my first tutorial. I was playing around with coloring for this picture, and I was really satisfied with the end result, so I thought I'd post it.

Made in PS. Not translatable.

1. Crop your image and  do whatever adjustments you want to. (ie.sharpen, blur, etc.)

2. Duplicate the background image 3 times. Set one to screen, one to multiply, and one to soft light.

 3. Make a selective coloring layer.

             Layer>>New Adjustment Layer>>Selective Coloring.
 

                        Red

                        Cyan: -100

                        Magenta: 100

                        Yellow: 100

                        Blue: 100

 

                        Yellow

                        Cyan: 0

                        Magenta: -52

                        Yellow: 37

                        Blue: 100

 

                        Neutral

                        Cyan: 80

                        Magenta: 29

                        Yellow: -30

                        Blue: -3

 

4. Make a color balance layer.

            Layers>>New Adjustment Layer>>Color Balance

                       

                        Midtones: -39, 36, 66

                        Shadows: 40, 21, 7

                        Highlights: 18, -27, 29

 

5. Make a Hue/Saturation Layer.

         Layer>>New Adjustment Layer>>Hue/Saturation

                   

                           Master: 25

 

6. Make a Curves layer.

        Layer>>New Adjustment Layer>>Curves

                         RGB

                        Input: 69 Output: 33

                        Input: 120 Output: 104

                        Input: 182 Output 181

 

7. Add any font or brushes that you want! I made my own brush by squiggling the paint brush tool in white, and the font was just something that was lying around my computer. It's Just a Dream Solid if you were wondering.
