Die Saarbahn ist ein weit über Saarbrücken und das Saarland hinweg leuchtendes Vorbild an Pünktlichkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Kundenorientiertheit.
Im Sommer fährt es sich angenehm, auch wenn es draußen heiß ist, denn die Klima geht immer. Und nicht nur im 1-Meter-Umkreis um einen Vierer.
Im Winter friert man nie, denn die Heizung geht immer. Nie kommen Gedanken auf an Budapest im Februar ‘83.
Im Herbst kommt man trocken ans Ziel, denn es regnet nicht rein. Nie braucht man einen Schirm.
Die Taktung ist perfekt. Sogar die Japaner sind neidisch auf die Pünktlichkeit unserer Saarbahn. Noch nie haben sich weiterführende Schulen darüber beschwert, dass Schüler die erste Unterichtsstunde nicht erreichen.
Die Kundenkommunikation könnte besser nicht sein. Verzögerungen oder Ausfälle, zu denen es praktisch nie kommt, werden umgehend angezeigt. Nie muss man sich fragen, ob man gerade einen Schlaganfall hatte, weil man auf der Anzeige nur noch Kauderwelsch erkennen kann.

An AI-powered email filtering script written in Python.

I use a small, locally installed language model to filter emails based on provided examples. The whole thing runs on a Raspberry Pi 5 and is unbearably slow, but works in principle.

This silly weekend project is a humidity sensor for plants that has a rotating wheel for the alarm mechanism. A receptable on the wheel can take a pole with a flag. I winged that part.

I recently discovered Meshtastic, an open source, off-grid, decentralized communication software running on affordable, low-power devices. Among them is the LoRa module for the Raspberry Pi Pico by WaveShare. So I designed a simple box with a lid for the bundled boards.
