HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERONE!!

How was everyone's New Year's Eve?

Mine was nice. My parents came over and we had champagne and watched the show from time square. Is it evil that I thought The Back Street Boys and New Kids on the Block looked RIDICULOUS dancing and singing like they were still 15?

And Kesha, omg, what a smoking, dripping slut! She looked totally stoned. Don't tell me she wasn't! I was a kid in the seventies. All my friend's older sister's had that dazed look on their faces a lot of the time, LOL! OMG, she was so gross. The sad thing is, she is someone's little girl. Once upon a time she wore disney princess pj's and played with baby dolls and lit up her parent's life. Now she's a stoned sleeze making a fool of herself on New Year's Rockin' Eve w/Ryan Seacrest and Dick Clark.

I feel badly for her parents, I really do.

I was at work on New Year's Eve during the day and I realized (being slow on the uptake) that when my parents got to my house they were probably expecting some sort of New Year's party! LOL. Yeah, I know, but it's me, not the sharpest dandelion in the meadow I'm afraid.

So I'm sitting there, with little dandelion puffs floating around my head thinking how cool it was to get out early and go home and relax...When it occurred to me...OMG, When my dad suggested they come over New Year's Eve and stay over....wait for it...They were expecting a PARTY! LOL. Wow, snuck up on me too, that concept did.

So I went home, ordered pizza and we did have a bottle of korbel champagne and my mom brought her amazing deviled eggs. So we had a laid back but fun time.

Today I'm cooking, as per usual. Roast pork, baked potatoes and a veggie to be named later. It was to be zuchinni, but my daughter forgot to tell my parents to bring it. So we'll have to go with somethign I've got in the house. Which will be either green beans or broccoli, depending.

Apple pie and ice cream for dessert.

I'm so thrilling, aren't I? LOL

In other news, a guy made me cry at work the other day. He called in and screamed and screamed and screamed at me about his vehicle claim, and would not stop verbally abusing me. I mean, I worked with people who were actively hallucinating when I was working in mental health, and then I worked with attorney's for years, and they are very verbally abusive, and even I started crying at this guy.

::Sighs::

Mean people suck.

So there was a show on today about the 10 best left handed quarter backs of all time. And do you know who was #1 on the list? Do you? Do you? Well, I'll tell you....

STEVE YOUNG!!!!

SQUEEEE!!!

OH, I loved him! He was my TV boyfriend for YEARS until I met Qui Gon Jinn. Honestly, that QB and I were together a long ass time until that QG came and stole me away! I saw TPM and said "good bye steve! I'm leaving you for that Jedi man"

So there's been Chow Yun Fat, Matt Fox and a brief (very brief) flirtation with Christian Bale since then, but still and all QGJ/Liam Neeson still sits on the throne of DandieLand.

But Steve Young was pretty. And built, and smart (has a JD) and wealthy (grew up in Greenwich, CT, not all that far from where I grew up in NY, but just about THE FANCIEST PLACE ON EARTH) and a total tuff guy competitor, physical, gutsy player. Hawt. MY afraid my forgotten how bombad Stevie was.

Only a Jedi Mastah could have stolen me away, LOL I crack me up.

So things are as per usual around here. It took longer than I thought for work to start making me cry again. many years ago when I worked at the Law Firm I cried a lot. It's taken over a year and a half for someone to make me cry now.

Eveyone have a great New Year's Day. Eat well. Tell your family you love them!

Luff to you all!!!
