So on top of my goal for properly painting my nails instead of ending up with examples of toddlers with crayons for the first time, I think the other goal is needing to be for me to write more in this journal instead of keeping it all bottled up inside.

But it needs to be better kept up, I know that :)

So happy new year to all of you lovely folk and on we go.

Im now stuck using the ljapp on the phone since it decided to sign me out and getting the you're about to see spiel is getting old.

Nothing new, mother has mental issues that yet again seem to be manifesting close to my birthday whee not. Work is work and finally had the guts to tell my beast of a boss I didnt appreciate that nobody ever told me there was a complaint about my brother meeting me on Fridays to go home together (he waited in reception where I as the receptionist could keep an eye on him) instead she chose to call me on a Friday afternoon at the end of the day that I should bring a union rep with me first thing on the following Mon where she broadsided me.

I need to get back into writing here more instead of bottling stuff inside. A lot less cheaper than looking into a shrink.

Later y'all :)

Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone.

Mother Mayhem

Well where to start on this.

There could be the story about my boss, who has given me a project that I've been working on since basically the end of January involving a database that hasn't been updated since for all intents and purposes: 2009. It has to be completely ready and finished for a new overhaul in July (give or take).
on her
She has complained about me non-stop, told me after she had come up with the idea of coming in to our branch once a week to check in and see how we were doing, that she was extremely frustrated with having to come 1-2x a week to hold my hand (WTF?!?!)

She's upset that I try to take initiative for things like coming up with a spreadsheet that shows her a break down of all we have sent out so far by files emailed, files mailed and files faxed out. She says that I'm doing things that are redundant (?) how is that redundant when the instructor from the head organization who trained me said I should do one of these?

She's mad at me that I came up with a cover letter by myself because we needed one for the fax sending out? If she had come up with the letter and what I was to say, should she not have come up with something to cover that too? I mean she's practically a genius and all *rolls eyes*

I tell her that the lady she has seconded to do the data entry since the person who was supposed to was *gasp* not grasping her new job, wasn't helping me and in fact was reduplicating the work I had already done, she tells me that my message wasn't clear only for her to learn that *gasp* what I told her was correct a couple of weeks later.

I tried to tell her due to her instructions that I was to do my regular duties on top of this project, that there was problems with the two people doing switchboard and reception, I was told that I was actually being a bully to the new girl by pointing out what an envelope looked like that she had needed. I told her about a problem with the new girl teaching the second switchboard operator that it was okay to shut the phones completely down so he could do the sick line ... which was something I had never taught *ANY* of the people I trained, she doesn't believe me until it happens a second time and then she emails me to find out what's going on.

So to sum up, I hate my job ... it's making me physically sick and tired. I find my personality changing when I'm at work because I'm hidden away doing this shit. I'm being told that I'm coming across as cranky and that I'm not training people properly. I have never had a problem training anybody until this one. I'm getting fed up and I dont know what to do. I'm thinking that I need to tell the union in case what a co-worker says is true and that my boss is trying to create a file on me.

Then there's my mother.

Who has now joined the ranks of the unemployed and the bitchy as all get out. She says that all the above is my fault because I'm lazy, because I want to cause trouble and so forth. She refuses to listen to me when I say something and then when I try to help her do the unemployment form because she complains she hates my laptop and I can be quicker, she says that we're treating her like an invalid and she might as well just sit on her giant fat ass (her words) and screams at us (dad and me) for daring to ask her why she wouldn't have had gotten her paperwork ready since she had been home all day (and waited until nearly 10 at night when I was ready to go to bed)

I'm just too tired for this shit I think.

By that I mean "Oooh it's electronic, lets get Nicky to fix it, she knows everything." And by that I have no clue because they all deny pushing the buttons to make the object go BOOM.

I am now apparently in charge of a database at work. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things except for the fact that it hasn't been updated properly since 2010 and oh guess what, has to be done by April. 1200 entries that they've known about for at least 2 years.

More tomorrow, my head's hurting LOL

I forgot that they were doing Torchwood all day apparently and I manage to come back on Day 4.

I'm still of the belief that GDL was the only actor on that show who was able to keep JB under some form of control. But it's fun to watch this now in the sense that I can see the actors who went on to Game of Thrones Sansa's Septa Mordane and Uncle Kevan Lannister in here aka Frobisher's right hand lady and Dekker the weasel.

But I noticed a really interesting thing, they edited out in Day Five the comment Jack says after he asks for her to go home, they pan to Gwen and Jack says "I can't stand looking at her."

It went from the please take her home to the helicopter.

Back to Work Tomorrow

And it hasn't really felt like christmas.

I don't know why it is that it stopped, I don't know if it's because of how Mom can be or just that I lost the wonder of it or that we do all these things and yet we dont celebrate it with family and friends outside of the people who live in this house.

For christmas, I got a pandora bracelet with charms from the parents, a gift card from kobo from Todd for my e-reader and a pair of diamond earrings that my mother didnt want any more. I'm scared to death of them because she keeps telling me how much she had paid for them and so I keep pushing the backings to make sure they're still in my ears.

For she who owns me, she got a bed from Nanny and Grandpa, a coat harness and collar from me along with a bunch of her favorite snacks along with two plushie things. A pink ballerina ball squeaker from Martha Stewart (which I have named Martha and who she recognizes as such) and a yellow thing that looks like the bigfoot character from Bugs Bunny (I'll take a picture of it the moment she lets go of it lol)

And that's all I have at the moment. I'll write more later....

No no, I insist that you make fun of my dog for a haircut I'm not happy with. ESPECIALLY after telling you to remember what happened with our last little girl dog who you laughed at, we couldnt get her out from under the couch for a day and if she could have buried herself further, I'm sure Zoey would have.

Then for a topper, I insist that you get pissed at me for being mad that you spit *accidentally* licorice in her hair that I can't get out because she won't let me.

Do us all a favor and go back the fuck to work.

No, leave all the shit out that you made yourself something to eat because you didnt like dinner and then as I'm trying to clean everything up, tell me to get you a ginger ale. I live to serve.

I am fed up with the martyr act, she and it are getting old.

Spent the day Christmas shopping with the family despite my stomach flu making me less than enjoy it. Dad had figured that due to last year's tantrum by my mother, it would be easier on all of us to wait till her day off this time to avoid the tantrum.

Guess what?

She had her tantrum repeatedly while we were out. Capped off by a really spectacular one outside of golf town when she walked right into the trunk door opening so we could put dad's gifts in the back of the truck. She's only just now gone to bed complaining of her neck.

She threw one outside of Pandora because I had asked for and got a bracelet from them. Nothing screams take back a present than a harpy hissing at you "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT COST?!?!?!"

But screw her, it's pretty. Go get on your broom and sweep off.

Missy News

Tomorrow is the last day, thank you guys for voting for her up to now
http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/dogs/5285

In related news, I had to get her prescriptions renewed and the new vet on the clinic's staff didn't like what was in her chart and requested a consultation with us. Dad and I took her and we discovered that apparently yet again, the VEC didn't know what they were talking about and in fact there is a great chance that she doesnt have a shunt nor Microvascular Dysplasia.

She may simply have some liver issue from anything from a birth defect to an infection in the past that screwed up the readings. Her test results said that her liver is small but functioning.

SO in the new year, Missy's going to be going into the clinic for a couple of hours to do a *wish list* of liver tests (the quotations around it are the vet's words) and if it shows that everything is as it appeared from her ALT tests, we can start weaning her off of her meds. Antibiotics first and then if she is holding steady, she can get off of her lactulose.

In family news, I really need to update everyone on the stupidity that is my brother and his love life. But i'll save that for another post.

Just felt like showing my little lady's halloween costume for this year, because I can.

And also to be able to remind everyone that the contest she's in is still going, you can vote once a day and they're still giving a dollar a vote to the dog guide charity.

You can vote here: http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/dogs/5285

And a big thank you to those who have voted for her, you guys are awesome.

Here have a Missy

Yet again a daily reminder from the fur-kid's mom, you can vote every day for her and give FIDO a reason to cough up some of their money for a good cause. A vote = $1 to that guide dog charity

http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/dogs/5285

And to my Aunt who said that I was playing dirty by asking people to sympathy vote, I'm not lying. Missy has had health troubles since she was born and will continue to do so even till she dies. The lactulose and antibiotics are going to be a daily routine until she passes. Which, personally I hope will NOT be till she's an old feisty little fur lady.

And that's the end of my rant for the day.

Going to hell ....

.... because while I love the Game of Thrones book series, I'm finding it hard as hell to get through Book Five...

In other news, that @#*(*Q#(* Fido contest is back up and running. So if you guys could please vote for the small furry person in my icon that would be really great. Missy's thing is at http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/dogs/5285 and each vote given, apparently the company will give a dollar to the charity for guide dogs.

I know that I haven't had much to say in here of late, but I need a little help or rather Missy needs a little help *G*

I have her in a contest to become a "FIDO dog" and for those not in Canada, FIDO is one of the cellular phone providers. And with each vote, a dollar is given to a dog charity so please, could you guys help me get her to be a star?

http://www.fidocastingcall.ca/dogs/5285

So I got Missy's blood results back, her ALT levels dropped yet again!!!

The day of the non existent shunt surgery it was at 875. Last year was her blood work check up, it was at 350 and this year, it sits at 135!! :D

According to her vet, it means that Missy's liver is starting to do what its supposed to and that I'm to keep up whatever it was I'm doing for her.

Translated: Keep up the meds/lactulose plus the Urban Wolf dog food, include the virgin coconut oil and also the supplements from the Honest Kitchen.

So I feel justified in saying that once again, my mother the Monster is wrong. I *DO* know what I'm talking about when it comes to Missy. The supplements have the herbs that they recommend for dogs in her situation.

Really, I don't.

I'm going to admit that once in awhile, I swear... okay I swear when I'm with my family.

However, I do have my limits.

I don't like the word snatch when used in terms of a female's vagina and yet tonight, my brother and Dad start throwing it around and I let my brother know that I'm not feeling very comfortable with that being said, comparing the conversation to me suddenly breaking out my need for a good hard dick.

Todd is now sulking at me and telling me he wont ever joke with me again.

Dude, grow up and realize I'm just saying that I don't like that word, in the same way that I don't like you saying the c-word.

But he's beyond useless this weekend, so I have no words

My knees ... are not so much of the pleased *G*

Tomorrow I have to make Missy a new batch of her urban wolf food, I made her appointment for the vet on friday afternoon and hopefully on the way home, I can give my e-reader a good home. I have to touch base with its new owner later in the week to check on a time.

And, that's all I have... Miss's in my room already so I think its a sign she wants to go to bed so g'night everybody :)

Well here we are again dear readers,

Another Saturday in another hall and once again with nothing new to report on my end. Everyone is still the same here, nothing old and yet nothing new. I'm off this week to come in order to help my dad rebuild his stone patio because my mother nagged his ass to fix it because he forgot to put limestone under the stones to avoid having weeds and the like grow between the stones.

Last week, mom was really picking at me for whatever reason, I have no idea and it culminated in her telling me I'm too old to have kids, I'm too old to be friends with a girl at work who's early 20's and that I should go and sign up for e-harmony.

Rather than tell her to go fuck herself, I did just that.

Didn't pay for the bells and whistles but rather went and just threw up a bio and downloaded the iphone app so that when she was playing with my phone, the app would send up a message if I had anything. Sure enough, she's looking at pictures and BAM, up pops a pop up saying I have 7 matches.

Never knew her eyes could go anime big that fast, she handed it back to me and never said anything to me the rest of the day.

Got called on her attitude later by my dad.

So that stuff is now in the spam email folder and every so often I throw out a "ooh he's cute" just to remind her to remember that I do once in awhile, listen to what she wants. ;)

Karma is a bitch

So I work with this lunatic "H" because my old partner wanted to try something new. "H" is a reject from our head office because nobody there wanted her, she refused to listen and when someone tried to train her, she held up her hand, said that she already knew it and blew them off. She also held over everyone's head the fact that her Aunt-in-Law worked there too.

Our company seems to at times, believe in the "Not what you know, but WHO you know" theory of hiring nepotism.

Anyways, after months of blowing us all off because we weren't head office, she decides she likes it here.

Then she goes and jello moulds our facilities coordinator's office for his birthday*, by the time she and our summer intern are done, apparently there wasnt a spot in his office that wasn't jello-ed. Company phone, tools and plans for our clinics all ruined.

She then screams at him when he asked why so that everyone on the 8th floor knows her business and now they all think she's nuts.

So she has decided to apply for jobs, despite telling me that she couldn't due to her jello incident having had a letter put in her file.

So out of three, she's been shut out for two and there's not a snowball chance in hell that she'll get the third.

Then our boss came today and asked me about her.

I said she seems nice, but hard to read. One moment happy go lucky and the next she's giving off dont go near her vibes. So I dont know if the others who say she's not good on the phone are saying things.

But for lying to somehow get sympathy or whatever, I'm glad she didnt get the job that my old partner got. I'm just mad she's still here LMAO!!!!

Its sunday and I have nothing to say of any earth shattering importance.

I finally got rid of a nearly week long headache with the help of muscle heat cream, some tylenol, saline nasal rinse and some murine in my ears to clean them out.
Well we're ending the second to last day of vacation and I have done nothing outside of accompanying Todd downtown and let him walk about so he could add to his record collection. There's a really cool vinyl store just on Queen St near the old CITY TV building. He seems to be happy with the customer service so we'll see if they treat him better than the last one who has never got back to him about the one he had ordered about 4 months ago.
