I suppose I have the standard geek bio: Good student, not popular, did debate and golf in H.S. Went to college and stayed until I had a Ph.D.
Loved comics when I was young--though they were mostly stolen glances at the local five and dime. I remember getting a supersize "Superfriends vs Legion of Doom" comic when the circus came to town. My alarm clock had little dots to remind me of the time when Batman (yeah... the one with Adam West) was on. Little orange dots... I miss that clock.
I quit comics when they asked us to vote to kill or save Jason Todd.
3-4 years later I started up again because a friend of a friend let me read his X-men stuff. Got into that and r.a.c.m.x (comics and the internet--that will never work). Quit again when the legacy virus happened (and Sandman came to an end).
Played City of Heroes, watched Batman Beyond, then was wandering around Tokyo when we spotted a comic shop... And here I am. Narrowly avoided quiting again with the Nightwing stuff going on post Infinite Crisis.
Oh, and I did mention I did debate, right? Just so we all understand that I can be very long-winded...
