Warped Tour - St. Louis

I've spent hours on My Space listening to bands I've never heard of and finally have my wish list down for Warped in St. Louis on Monday. And, since I'm crazy like that, I've arranged it all in a nifty spreadsheet that I can fill in once I find out the set times when I get to the venue on Monday. I wonder how lucky I'll get with the Warped Powers That Be? Here's hoping they don't schedule all my "must-sees" at the same times.

TAI/FOB

The concert last night was great! It might seem crazy to drive 7 hours for 1.5 hours of music, but seeing Bill with his "summer hair" and unexplainable muffin top do literal choreography to Beware, Cougar from center, second row, barricade made it all worth it. And FOB was the icing on the cake. I almost didn't recognize Patrick - he's so thin now! His face is all chiseled and he's got these shoulders! I swear I looked close to make sure he didn't have shoulder pads. I hope the weight loss is something he wanted and doesn't have another cause, because he really looks great. Ashlee and Bronx were there to watch the show and Bronx looked adorable with his protective head phones. I didn't stay for Blink's set - I knew I wouldn't be able to make the drive home if I did. Plus the pit was getting very rowdy - even when I moved back for FOB I got pushed/stepped on with the moshing. Overall it was a great night - I'm so glad I decided to go.

Friday Fun & Info Request

It was great fun seeing babygotbass , nothinggold , foxxcub , canadiankracka on Friday -- the concert was great and the night only got better when capped off with a viewing of the Reel NSYNC! I only wish I could have joined in on the road trip to Des Moines to see the show last night - I hope the snow didn't hamper things to much.

Lex - please tell Hopeann it was nice meeting her and thanks again for "infecting" me with bandom. I can see why you're enamoured with your "guys" -- the ones I met were all very sweet.

One thing I became convinced of on Friday is that upgrade my mobile "experience" -- I've been relying on my company-provided phone that I've had for years and I really don't use it much. Even with a new phone I don't think I'll talk on it much, but I'm clearly missing the boat when it comes to texting, twittering, and such. So please educate me... what providers, phones, and plans do you have/wish you had. Anything special I should be thinking about as I shop?

NSYNC Flashback - January 1999

NSYNC spent most of January 1999 performing their Second II None tour around the US -- that's the tour for which Britney Spears was one of the opening acts. In addition to touring, the group also filmed the video for Thinking Of You (European Version)/I Drive Myself Crazy (US Version) and won the AMA for Best New Rock/Pop group -- they performed in honor of Billy Joel at the awards ceremony. For this month's update, I've combined some behind the scenes clips from the video shoot (aired in Germany), the AMAs and MTV (with Britney). Be sure to notice baby Busta (Chris' dog - RIP) and Joey and Justin's new bling - these necklaces will show up all year! Also, please don't cringe too much when they thank Lou Perlman - I guess he hadn't shown his true colors yet.

FOB - Vegas Show

I've settled on Las Vegas as the destination of choice for the Fall Out Boy tour. My friend Ann and I had fun when we went there to see Justin so we figured we'd do it again for FOB. I haven't booked a flight or hotel yet, but we're thinking we'll go in on Saturday and leave Monday since the show is on Sunday. Any one else going to that show? We should try and connect...
