Appeals Court Stays "Fund NPR" Ruling

National Public Panhandler Radio's funding was deleted by President Trump.

Naturally, NPR found a friendly court and sued to keep our money on the utterly ridiculous ground that NPR's "free speech" is endangered.  (NPR says they have a Constitutional Right to Our Money.)

That lasted 2 days.  An appeals court stayed the "Give Them Money" order.

(Found by AI.  No URL available yet.)

"Educators" Funding Anti-Ice School Disorders

The NEA (of course) has dropped $1.4 million into something called the "Midwest Academy", an Alinsky-based outfit specializing in fomenting civil disorder.

And disorder it will be!

A group funded by the largest teachers union in the country is training activists in preparation for a string of anti-ICE protests planned to take place outside of public schools on May 1, the Washington Examiner has learned.

The organizers behind the recent No Kings demonstrations are gearing up for nationwide follow-up protests on May 1....

Gee.  May Day!!  The Communist High Holyday!!

Also note that the Geezer Rally (No Kings) is directly connected here.

Question your school taxes, people! This is what you're paying for.......

14% for "Green" Electricity. Happy??

Channel Four runs an interview with a woman who obviously doesn't know what's going on.

She bought Green Crap for her house but still pays more for electricity, and is ignorant of the fact that Green Crap is THE single biggest reason for skyrocketing electric rates in Wisconsin.

How much "skyrocket"?

How about THREE HUNDRED PERCENT INCREASE SINCE 2000--and another 14% to come??

WE bent over for any "green" demand made by the Feds or the State ever since Dick Abdoo set the precedent by cowering to the NRC a few decades back.  Since then, WE has cowered to Fed and State worshipers of the Green Goddess,  building and installing wind farms (useless when there is no wind), sun-catchers (useless about half of any calendar year), and "biomass" burners.  WE also intends to build a massive battery-backup system--which would be completely UN-necessary if WE had kept all of its coal- and gas-burners instead of installing "green" crap.

WE wants you to believe that cutting trees and putting their lines underground is the reason for the last couple of enormous rate increases.  Uh-huh.  Sure, sure.

Tiffany promises a change in rate-setting personnel at the Public Service Commission.

What Tiffany SHOULD do is make the Chicago management of WE eat the cost of Green Crap.  Maybe that will give them some backbone.

The Real Evers? A Loon. Plus: WWTD??

That's short for "lunatic."  No coverage in Milwaukee TeeVee, either.

...Evers vetoed bills to ban boys in girls’ sports and locker rooms; to empower parents to make decisions about their kids’ pronouns and names; and to ban sex-change surgeries of minors. ...

One wonders what Lunatic Tony would have done when--as a school principal--he found a boy in the girls' showers with the girlsOr now, on finding a random teenage boy in the girls' showers with one of his granddaughters?

1)  Look at the floor and back away quietly?  2)  Look at the floor and say "Please leave the shower room.  Pretty please??"  3)  Look at the floor and loudly declare "I really want you to leave the shower room now!"  Or 4)  Supplex the pervert out of there and body-slam him in the corridor?

Yah.  The answer is #1 above.

N.B.:  None of the "highly trained professional reporters" at Milwaukee channels 4, 6, 12, or 58 have mentioned this. Hmmmmmm.

Can You Say "D.E.I."?

This sad sack umpire also missed several ball/strike calls a couple of days ago.

Now he REALLY screws up.  Not looking at the play, calls the runner out for 'missing the bag'.....

Sad.

Yup. It's a Consumption Tax

Mitch Daniels, partly responsible for TRA '86, finally admits what we said back in January of '25:  it's a consumption tax.

...Even less transparent to the victim than a state sales tax or a VAT, taxation by tariff constitutes a step into consumption taxation, of people at all income levels.

Everyone will have to chip in to the fiscal emergency plan that the country’s procrastinating, irresponsible national leadership, of both parties, has made inevitable. Taxation of consumption, regrettable as it will be, at least has the virtue of weighing less heavily on work and investment, and therefore growth, than further taxation of income. It is likely to be part of the safety-net rescue....

Daniels, writing for his audience, decries the tariffs--but then admits that his tax policies have driven the US into 'walking bankrupt' status.  He also fails to mention that a true consumption tax is, generally, "progressive", as the top income people are far more "consumer" than the bottom.

Heh.

Kirk Killing: NOT the Bullet??

This is not too surprising.

The bullet that killed conservative commentator Charlie Kirk did not match the rifle used by suspected killer Tyler Robinson, a bombshell new court filing states.

Robinson, 22, is facing capital murder charges and a potential death sentence for Kirk's murder at Utah Valley University on September 10.

But his defense attorneys now argue that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives 'was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr Robinson.'...

We--and dozens of others--were skeptical when told by "experts" that a .30-06 bullet could not get through Kirk's neck bones at 200 yards.

Now we're told that ........well.........maybe.......kinda-sorta.....it was NOT a .30-06 from the defendant's K-98.

Huh.  Imagine that!

The Little Mayor That Self-Contradicts

Mayor Chevy Corvair Johnson (Unsafe at Any Speed) delivered his annual report.  He contradicted himself; but then, he's a Democrat.

...Johnson also pointed to housing trends, noting Realtor.com rated Milwaukee as landlord-friendly in 2024 with vacancy rates below five percent. In 2025, the same rating listed Milwaukee as renter-friendly as more housing units became available....

Hmmm.  Since Trump's election and ICE's crackdown on illegal immigrants, "more housing units became available."

But Trump is a monster!!

... "The deadly and malicious immigration policy of President Donald Trump's administration is particularly egregious," he said. "I will be direct: immigrants make Milwaukee stronger, safer and richer....

 "Malicious"?  "Deadly"?

Maybe Corvair confuses MS-13 and Tren de Aragua for ICE.  (Or maybe the far-more-deadly Planned Parenthood BabyKiller business.)

But there is no question the Mayor cannot add and subtract.  Rental prices are down because there are less people wanting rental housing.  MS-13 and TdA members do NOT make Milwaukee safer.

And when he stamps his widdle feets about how "ties are broken" between the Feds and the locals....you want a translation of that crap?  "THEY AREN'T GIVING US ENOUGH MONEY.  Waah.  Waah."

Because it is never enough.

Israel Taps Out of Ground Ops in Iran

Really?  This is "our special ally"?

Israeli media reported Monday that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will not aid any potential American ground operation inside Iran; Israeli troops are instead being sent to southern Lebanon.

Israeli Channel 12 quoted official sources stating, “In case of a U.S. ground operation in Iran, Israeli soldiers will not be participating on the ground.”

The report says that if there were an American ground operation, only American troops would be put in harm’s way on the ground. Israel instead would provide airstrikes, intelligence sharing, and special operations support. Israel has reportedly drawn a firm red line against sending ground troops....

We can get that kind of help from NATO.  Why do we need Israel?

Ten Percent Dow Dump Since 2/10

 Looked at your 401(k) lately?

Yah.....well.....

The DJIA is down about 10 % since February 10's 50,121 mark.

Gee.  What happened after 2/10?

A New Catholic Dogma on War?

Pope Leo is not a careful speaker, so he often lets slip his un-hinged thoughts.

...The pope’s words during his Sunday homily denounced violence and said that God “does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war.” He cited the “meekness” of Jesus Christ as an inspiration for world leaders and referenced Christ’s suffering as a parallel to those caught in the crosshairs of war and violence in Europe and the Middle East

“We turn our gaze to Jesus, who reveals himself as King of Peace, even as war looms abounds him,” said Pope Leo. “He remains steadfast in meekness, while others are stirring up violence.”

The pope said violence, particularly war, should be rejected at all times and that Jesus’s life, and his last days before his crucifixion, should serve as reminders that peace, not violence, is the answer.

“He did not arm himself, or defend himself, or fight any war,” said the pope. “He revealed the gentle face of God, who always rejects violence. Rather than saving himself, he allowed himself to be nailed to the cross, embracing every cross borne in every time and place throughout human history.”

Leo then admonished anyone who sought to use religion as a justification for war, emphasizing that God does not listen to prayers from such people. ...

So much stuff, so little time.....

It is, frankly, SILLY to compare the self-sacrifice of Christ to a war, particularly when many wars are wars of defense.  (One also wonders if he has condemned the Popes of the first and second Crusades with his comments.)

In the instances where "war of defense, "self-defense" and "defense of others" are parallel, what does Pp. Leo have to say then?  That we should simply watch loved ones or ourselves become victims because .....Jesus?

Serious men have serious differences with this guy.

The Church has been stung with two in a row.  Pray for the Church, even if you participate in wars.

The Objectives Are.......???

John Spencer runs a long post on X, but near the beginning is this:

...It is important to anchor any discussion in the stated strategic objectives. As articulated by senior U.S. leaders, the objectives of Operation Epic Fury are: destroy Iran’s missile arsenal and its ability to produce more, dismantle its navy and its ability to threaten global shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

While regime change has been mentioned and questions have been raised about whether it would be good or bad, it is not the declared U.S. objective....

Well, then, how come Israel has eliminated/eradicated/killed hundreds of members of the regime?

Oh.  Maybe the US objectives and the Israeli objectives are different.....

Or maybe Trump & Co. are not telling us?

Hmmmm.

Back to Viet Nam.....

A book review by Mark Moyar has some very familiar themes.  This is about Viet Nam, the incompetent State Department (and ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge) and how it cost about 58,000 US lives.

Here's the first VERY FAMILIAR theme:

... Only in the final chapter does Cheevers make a clear break with the orthodox school. Invoking the pro-Diem officials who inspired the revisionists, he embraces their conclusion that the Diem government fell because of American diplomatic malpractice, rather than Diem's inherent flaws. Cheevers faults Lodge and other State Department officials for promoting a coup with little comprehension of what would follow, and blasts Kennedy for letting them do so. He also chastises the Kennedy administration for trying to liberalize an authoritarian country in a time of war. "Kennedy would have been well-advised to stop hammering Diem to get rid of Nhu and let the brothers do their best to win the war," Cheevers writes. "Free and fair elections could never be held, nor strong democratic institutions established, until the Viet Cong were largely cleared out of the country."...

Can you spell "I-R-A-Q"??  We left that sandbag in a state of total disarray--where it remains today, minus all of  the Catholics who were either killed or fled the country.  And when we achieve Netanyahu's fever-dream of regime-change in Iran------what's the plan, Donald?  Bibi??

Next, and more of a concern:

...The book, therefore, would have benefited from greater incorporation of elements of the revisionist narrative. One such element is a deep skepticism of the Buddhist protesters. In revisionist accounts, the Buddhists are more dishonest, more sympathetic to the Communists, and more clearly intent on overthrowing the Diem government than in Kennedy's Coup, and therefore they show Diem's actions to be more reasonable, and his political standing to be stronger....

Gee.  Religion being abused by liars and Lefties.  Scofield-ites in the case of Iran.  And certain Catholic (and Protty) figures pushing immigration-at-any-cost, not  to mention openly Socialist "theology."

Some things never change.

In Canada, the Party Begins This Summer

The meaning of "party" here is congruent with the meaning in "Boston Tea Party."

Canada passed a law requiring its citizens subjects to turn in certain firearms to the Crown.

NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT of those subjects flipped the middle finger and did not comply.

So.......this summer, retired RCMP and retired local cops will be collecting those guns.

It's possible that the guns will be pointed in the wrong direction, of course.  Thus, volunteer collectors may be hard to find.

This bears watching.

China Spying Here Courtesy of Biden/Mayorkas. Surprised?

Disturbing incident here.

Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, in Bossier Parish not far from Shreveport, was attacked by drone swarms during the week of March 9. The attack disrupted B-52H aircraft launches in support of Operation Epic Fury against Iran. It is the first time a US airbase was temporarily put out of operation in wartime, something that never happened even in World War II....

This is known as a "Wake-Up Call"

...The drone waves lasted around four hours each day, an extraordinarily long loiter time for a drone. It is not known if the drones were fixed wing or quadcopter types, or how they were powered (liquid fuel or electrical). Each wave consisted of 12 to 15 drones, and the drones flew with their lights on, intentionally making them visible....

...The airbase does have some electronic countermeasures that were designed to disable GPS and the datalinks between the drones and their remote operators. The electronic countermeasures failed to work....

...The drones could have come from a potential adversary, China being best equipped to produce a drone of the type that flew over Barksdale. From what has been observed, the drone design surpasses almost anything in the US arsenal.

What we know is that the drones had extraordinary range, could resist broad spectrum jamming, and featured non-commercial signal characteristics. Even more provocatively, the drones used various ingress and egress routes and operated in dispersed patterns, making traceability (via trying to triangulate on signals) virtually impossible....

Yes, Biden played a key role in this.

...the drone swarms over Barksdale suggest strongly that China is feeding Iran with critical intelligence as well as weapons, assuming that these drones came from China and were operated by the Chinese or by Chinese proxies.

There is little doubt that the operators were well trained and smuggled the equipment into the United States. The operation was persistent and disciplined and highly sophisticated....

Can Mayorkas or Biden be tried for treason yet?

"Green" Disables USS Ford. Surprised?

Several zillion dollars went into the building of this ship.

It was "GREEN"!!!!  So it was wonderful!!!  Until it was not.

It’s been a crappy week for the largest warship ever built.

A raging fire in its laundry facilities and persistently clogged toilets have taken the $13 billion USS Ford aircraft carrier out of the Iran fight — and it could remain out of service for a year....

The time-honored 'take a dump over the railing' method is a no-no?  Yes, yes.  It's a co-ed Navy now.

So......

... The ship’s high-tech sanitation system has had problems since at least 2020, with routine clogs, pricey fixes, and a green design that has caused repeat maintenance problems costing at least $4 million.

“Those eco-friendly toilets are not pressurized in the same way — they don’t flush through,” naval expert Steve Wills told The Post.

The issues stem from its vacuum collection, holding and transfer (VCHT) system, borrowed from the cruise ship industry.

A General Accountability Office report from 2020 found it required “onerous” extra day-to-day maintenance to clean its narrow pipes, with each “acid flush” costing $400,000....

Here's a sanguine observation:

... “Prioritizing environmentally-friendly systems over combat effectiveness is a big mistake,” said Bill Roggio, a senior fellow for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies....

Yah.  We know several 10-year-olds who could come to the same conclusion.  Too bad the US Navy has "experts" and "really smart" Kolleege Grads purchasing fuc***g toilets, eh?

Then there's this:

...The vessel’s commanding officer, Capt. David Skarosi, said in February that some clogs “are the result of items being flushed that should not be introduced into the system” — raising the prospect that the crew’s action are partly to blame.

“It only takes one pissed off, angry sailor to potentially cause trouble,” he added, without accusing anyone of outright sabotage....

Or a couple of sanitary pads, Captain?  Was Tampon Tim on board?

Go back to the sure-fire method:  over the rail.  It's common sense.  But  then, what does "common sense" have to do with anything these days?

Why They Want Tulsi OUT of There

She is well on her way to spilling the entire apple-cart.  (You may have seen Loomer's latest demand:  that Trump fire Tulsi.  There's a reason for that and it's most likely found in the files and documents that Tulsi is de-classifying.)

...The constitutional separation of power mechanisms has been weaponized by the corrupt actors, as we outlined in the example yesterday of Adam Schiff hiding the transcript of ICIG Michael Atkinson.

All of us have been frustrated to hear politicians in the legislative branch talk about “sending criminal referrals” to the Dept of Justice, and yet nothing happens.  Part of this is created by ‘stakeholder equities’, specific ownership of the underlying documents that do not accompany the referral (locked in a non-compliant silo).  The intelligence community is notorious for classifying and hiding the evidence of wrongdoing.

Without the direct and specific evidence, and without an aligned intent from the receiver, the referral itself is more of a legislative fundraising narrative than an actionable event.  A pitch without a catcher, and sometimes even without a ball....

Jim Jordan was a master at Fake-Out Fund-Raising.  He knew his "referrals" were going noplace, but the sweet, sweet, smell of greenbacks....

...The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, shutting down the IC from hiding evidence is key.  An honest and truthful arbiter of intelligence is a paradigm shift in the DC system; it is also a threat.

With Executive Branch DNI Tulsi Gabbard declassifying purposefully hidden intelligence equities, in combination with the Legislative Branch providing source material from their own silo equities, what you get is an unimpeded flow of information to the Dept of Justice.

Two pipes of information, legislatively authorized and intelligence declassified, joining together in a single stream of actionable evidence flowing unimpeded to the DOJ.  This is the worst-case scenario for corrupt DC entities who hide within the silo system.  From my perspective, this information flow is now in place....

Let's hope that Gabbard has a very alert security team which has certifiable Americans First credentials.  There are actors who have no problem at all with permanently taking out troublemakers.

Meantime, in Ukraine

It appears that the President has had it with the stunted comedian corruptocrat.

... During a lengthy interview with Reuters, Zelenskyy says he has been directly told the only way for Ukraine to get security guarantees from USA participation is if he concedes the contested Donbas region to Russia and ends the conflict....

Yah,but......

Note that "US security guarantees" are included in that offer.  That's not good.

There's also the matter of providing Zelenskiy with a large retirement fund financing Ukraine's future military needs:

... Two vital questions remained unresolved regarding security guarantees, Zelenskiy said: Who would help to fund Ukraine’s weapons purchases to sustain its military deterrent, and how exactly would its allies respond in the face of any future Russian aggression?

The Americans are prepared to finalise these guarantees at a high level once Ukraine is ready to withdraw from Donbas,” said the 48-year-old leader, who added that he understood the “subtleties” of the American position...

No, chumpNot "the Americans."  Only Trump and his band of Spend-And-Bond drunken sailors are 'prepared' and willing.  The actual Americans, the ones with children and grand-children, crumbling roads, and energy-inflation for the next 2 years, are looking at $31 TRILLION in national debt and Trumpian deficit spending--a real-estate-developer habit--through the next 2 years or more.

And--by the way--the US' arms stockpile cupboard is nearly bare.  Ask Bibi for some weapons!

Finding Justice? It's in Florida

Note well the location of the insurance company.

The Trump administration has made new criminal referrals to the Department of Justice targeting New York Attorney General Letitia James, Fox News has confirmed.

The referrals, submitted by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte, allege potential insurance fraud tied to properties linked to James and have been sent to U.S. attorneys in Florida and, reportedly, Illinois for review....

... In one of the criminal referrals, Pulte said it appears that James "may have falsified information on her homeowners insurance application" to a Fort Lauderdale-based company, Universal Property Insurance....

It is  impossible to obtain actual justice against a Democrat in D.C., Virginia, New York, California, and northern Illinois.

But it IS possible in Florida, which explains not only this case, but the "Grand Conspiracy" case against Jack Smith, Comey, Brennan, (et.al.) being brought in Florida.

Yes!!  We will finally have the orange-jumpsuit perp-walks, featuring manacles and chains!!

Can we get rope-tree-some-assembly-required next??

No Fake Women in Olympics

 Actually, this is a surprise.

"Eligibility for any female category event at the Olympic Games or any other IOC event, including individual and team sports, is now limited to biological females,” the International Olympic Committee said....
Is it possible that we are past "Peak Tranny"?

Kill Student, Get $30K (FREE!!) Medical Care

It's not likely that Illinois residents will change their voting habits, no matter how much incentive they have.

...infuriating to many Americans is the case involving the suspect in the murder of Sheridan Gorman, Jose Medina, an illegal alien from Venezuela.

Medina failed to appear in court because he was receiving treatment for tuberculosis, treatment reportedly costing taxpayers nearly $30,000....

TdA slimebucket murders the girl as part of his TdA initiation.

Can't get to arraignment because Illinois taxpayers are forking up free healthcare--for HIM.

There is a reason that  we refer to Illinois people as FIB's.

Trump Pushes Deep State Spy-on-YOU Tool

 This is MAGA??

President Donald Trump on Wednesday asked Congress to pass a clean reauthorization of a critical—but controversial—spying authority as the U.S. military operation in Iran continues.

“I have called for a clean 18-month extension,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, noting that Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) are working toward passing such a bill.

Specifically, Trump is asking Congress to extend the authorities in Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a sweeping War on Terror-era spying authority that has seen wide abuse by federal intelligence agencies in the past.

Section 702 targets intelligence from foreign nationals thought to be outside the United States. Yet, it also enables intelligence agencies to gather information from Americans who are in contact with targeted non-U.S. persons—all without a warrant....

Lemmeesee, heah, Gomer:

He throws gobs of taxpayer money into the World-Corruption-Champion Ukraine.

He throws MORE gobs of money into the money-pit known as the Middle East, supporting a country who has made it clear that they want to expand "their" territory by several hundred percent (and is using the US as its tip of the spear).

He spends money like a drunken sailor, increasing national debt to nearly $1 Zillion.

Now he decides that No-Warrant Spying on US citizens is just fine and dandy with him.

In Tucker's last monologue, he mentioned that war-time Presidents tend to rescind Constitutional rights.  He mentioned the internment of US citizens who happened to be of Japanese descent.  He could have mentioned Lincoln's decision to suspend habeas and to muzzle the press.

Really?  MAGA????

Poll: Americans Dislike "Excessive" Middle East Involvement

Levin, Graham, Benny-Boy, Netanyahu, and Miriam Adelson won't like this.

...As the war launched by the U.S. and Israel continues in its fourth week, the survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research indicates that while President Donald Trump’s approval rating is holding steady, the conflict could be swiftly turning into a major political liability for his Republican administration.

While Trump is deploying more warships and troops to the Middle East, about 59% of Americans say U.S. military action in Iran has been excessive....

.....yet, according to the White House, "98% of MAGA voters approve."

Which "MAGA voters"?  The ones working in the White House?

ICE=TSA? Genius?? Not Really

It's not hard to tell that the White House put out mandatory talking points about placing ICE agents into airports where TSA is under-manned.

"It's a GENIUS MOVE!!!"  "ICE is nice to old ladies!!"  "ICE hands out water!!!"  "PR supreme!!!"

Any 'conservative' news outlet you chose, including those on X, parroted those lines at least once.

Not because it IS a "genius PR move."  It's not.

Not because any of them believed that bullshit.  They don't.

It's what they were told to say.

Does ICE screen passengers?  Luggage?

Nope.

They walk about, being nice.  Maybe they solve traffic problems with the long lines.

And yes, the Democrats (and two or three brain-dead Republicans) are the real problem here.

But pure bullshit talking points?

How's that ground-war going in Lebanon?  Spreading to Kargh Island soon?

A Warning to Wisconsin Catholics

We don't think that Catholic AWFLs and their spouses who are key to the elections of Wisconsin Supreme Court justices will heed this warning, but here goes.

... So how can someone who claims to be a Catholic, who attends Mass regularly and takes Communion, possibly support the demonic evil represented by today’s Democrat (they’re not democratic) party?  If he doesn’t want to vote for a Republican, should he vote for a third-party candidate, or simply abstain?

In Catholic moral theology, the question of how a faithful Catholic should vote — especially when major candidates endorse intrinsic evils — requires careful discernment of cooperation with evil and proportionate reasons.  Formal cooperation with evil is never permissible.  It occurs when one directly intends and wills the evil act itself, such as voting for a candidate precisely because of his support for grave moral wrongs like abortion or euthanasia.  This renders the voter guilty of the evil and unworthy to receive Holy Communion.  I would go so far as to say that such a position should result in excommunication.  Can a person holding such views be considered a Catholic, or a devout Christian?

Material cooperation, by contrast, is indirect and remote.  A Catholic who rejects a candidate’s immoral positions but votes for him for other reasons engages only in remote material cooperation.  This can be morally licit when “proportionate reasons” exist — grave moral considerations that outweigh the evil tolerated. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict XVI) clarified this in his 2004 memorandum: A vote for such a candidate would be formal cooperation “if he were to deliberately vote for a candidate precisely because of the candidate’s permissive stand on abortion and/or euthanasia,” but it becomes permissible remote material cooperation “in the presence of proportionate reasons.”

Proportionate reasons must be exceptionally weighty, especially for high offices that shape laws affecting millions of lives.  They are not mere policy preferences or partisan loyalty, but genuine attempts to limit greater harm, such as choosing the candidate less likely to advance intrinsic evils like abortion on a massive scale.  The U.S. bishops’ “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship” echoes this: Catholics may vote for a flawed candidate only for “truly grave moral reasons,” not narrow interests....

Let's make this clear:  voting for the pro-abortion SCOWI candidate--if you are Catholic--puts your soul in immediate grave danger of going to Hell.

We've seen two abortion-elections to SCOWI in the last three years, and there is no question that "Catholic" women--and perhaps their husbands--were critical to those abominations.

Sadly, you will not find Catholic priests and Bishops making this point.

They have no balls.

Patel's Problem and Ours: S.702

We are not particularly enamored with "Party-Boy" Patel, but Trump trusts him, so we got him.  What we post here is another very good reason to oppose S.702, which allowed this utter travesty to happen.  Remember:  this can (and probably WILL) happen to you, too.

Last Refuge provides a reality check on both the FBI and what seems to be Patel's slow-walk.  Here's the text and the image.  The concluding graf is posted first; the lead-up and CC of the subpoena follows.

 [Quoting Hans Manche:]

“It didn’t just ask for Kash Patel’s phone records, it asked for everything he did from 2020 to 2023. Just to name a few, they requested all usernames and screen names, every address and email, complete billing and payment details including credit card and bank account numbers, every device ID, and a full log of every call, text, and voicemail showing who was contacted, when, and for how long. They also obtained all internet session data, including the exact IP addresses. So, this wasn’t just about who Kash called. It was basically a complete view of his entire life, mapping his daily routines, travel, relationships, finances, and even tracking the specific hardware he used. In short, they got a full digital shadow of his life.”

Yep, that’s how the FBI operates.

That’s how the FBI establishes leverage against anyone they view against their interests.

... Many people have wondered why FBI Director Kash Patel seems compromised since he took office.  Well, the FBI subpoena into then civilian Kash Patel, highlights the extent of the FBI operation as they gathered background intelligence that could be used for blackmail and leverage over the eventual FBI Director....

"More Equal" = Members of Congress

 Another demonstration of not-really-equal-treatment.

Due to the Democrat shutdown,...

...Delta said members of Congress will now be treated like every other passenger until the shutdown is over. Members of Congress were previously given escorts at airports and received specialized customer service....

...Congress members will still have access to the Capital Desk, which helps members book trips at government rates, make last-minute changes and reserve seats on multiple flights on the same day, according to the New York Times. ...

So members of Congress are only somewhat more equal than the hoi polloi.

Gotcha.

Fairness and Balance

See the below post for the 'con' side of the war.

This is the 'pro' side, from Childers:

...Iran isn’t a Trump vanity project waged to satisfy Israeli politicians. Iran is the single pressure point making peace possible on every global front simultaneously.

Nobody is describing the chessboard, even though all the pieces are sitting right there.

The “allies rebuke Trump” story gets 100 headlines; whereas the 22-country reversal gets a brief wire plug. Macron says “never” on Tuesday; France, Germany, and the UK sign on Friday. The Palestinian Authority condemns Iran and embraces Saudi Arabia while keeping studiously silent about the American and Israeli strikes. Trump’s Board of Peace deals with Hamas and signs up the United Nations while the world watches Iranian bomb footage.

The Financial Times declares Ukraine peace talks fizzled on Monday; Witkoff posts updates from active negotiations on Saturday, while a frantic Zelensky rushes to Washington experiencing very bad feelings. European voters stare at $9 gas and wonder why they’re still funding someone else’s war. NATO allies who pledged their Patriot batteries to Kyiv now realize those batteries might be all that stands between their own capitals and a demonstrated Iranian IRBM.

And nobody asks what any of it means. The corporate media won’t tell you any of this because it might make Trump look good. Trump isn’t talking either, because (1) it would tip his hand, and (2) he wouldn’t get decent coverage anyway, so why bother? But it is becoming crystal clear that Iran is the linchpin in a global puzzle box that includes forcing NATO to the table; ending the Ukraine war; brokering permanent Middle East peace; yes, protecting Israel; giving Palestinians a real shot with real money behind it; and all the while making historically good deals for America....

The long version is at the link.

We'll see how it plays out.  Childers doesn't mention the "Israel Wild-Card" possibilities, perhaps for a good reason.

Who the Hell Is Driving This Car Into the Briar Patch?

It appears that the car could go off the cliff and leave the US in a briar patch.

President Donald Trump’s dispute with unnamed Israeli officials appeared to come to an end as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted his country “acted alone” in its attack on the Iranian South Pars gas field. Prior to Netanyahu’s statement, anonymous Israeli officials told the press that the American government actually had advance knowledge of the Israeli attack after Trump himself said the U.S. did not know about the operation.

Israel’s strike on the gas field prompted Iran to retaliate against Qatar. According to Trump, Qatar was also unaware that the Israeli attack would take place. While Netanyahu promised to “hold off on future attacks,” the dispute highlights growing concern about a lack of a unified chain of command in the Israel-U.S. war with Iran....

The US and Israel have different objectives.  To the extent that Israel can cause trouble--such as bombing Iranian territory, thus creating more trouble for the US and its allies, and the energy infrastructure on which a big chunk of the world's population depends........

You see?

We also know that Israel loves to knock off Iranian 'leaders.'

So who the Hell is going to turn off the Iranian armed forces?  Dead leaders?  No.

Israel has a strategic objective there:  The more chaos Israel causes in Iran, the better it is for Israel, which will have unfettered ability to create its "Greater Zion".  And the US will be mired in the briar patch, helplessly helping.
