From that stage all young trolls face dangerous trials deep in the caves, fighting their way through until they can reach and find their lusus. In troll life the lusus is a creature of the same blood color that raises their young troll and acts as a mentor and protector. In return the troll is something like a zookeeper, keeping their lusus in line and taking care of them in turn.

Feferi's blood is tyrian purple, the highest caste in troll society. She's the only troll at the time period to have this blood, which makes her the "heir apparent" to all troll rulership. It's a perilous position for the young troll, as the current ruler wishes her dead. If it weren't for the protection of her lusus an assassination attempt would probably have been made, if one or more hadn't already been attempted.

Her lusus is known as Gl'bgolyb, a terrible tentacled monster whose size can accurately be measured in miles (http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100815044040/mspaintadventures/images/4/42/Feferi_Lusus.png) that is also known as the "The Rift's Carbuncle", "Emissary to the HorrorTerrors", or in more hushed tones, "Speaker of the Vast Glub." What exactly some of that means is long, complicated and occasionally silly, as a lot of things mentioned and yet to be mentioned are. On Feferi's part she mentions her lusus whispers to her, prophecies she mostly believes. She also mentions that it is difficult to keep her lusus's voice down, something she apparently does by feeding the monstrous creature with help from Eridan. While she loves her lusus she also says she will be relieved to be free of keeping said voice down once her lusus dies.

Before the events of the main story it seems Feferi spent her time taking care of her lusus, as well as catching and caring for wild sea creatures, despite whether or not that care was really needed. She also seemed to spend a good amount of time keeping an eye on Eridan, another sea dweller who has a bit of a genocidal complex when it comes to land dwellers. Their relationship, and troll relationships in general, is extremely confusing. No really, extremely. Feferi regards Eridan as a "moirail," something similar to a close friendship where one party tends to look out for the other and keep them in check. Eridan, in turn, has mating fondness for Feferi.

The real plot starts as the twelve young trolls begin to play SBurb, a computer game that brings about the end of the world. Feferi goes through some unexplained adventures, her life saved by another troll, Sollux, who was acting as her server. After her life is saved Feferi talks with Eridan again. She essentially "breaks up" with Eridan as a moirail, and in turn Eridan confesses his mating fondness to Feferi. Feferi states that Eridan is too overbearing, and isn't sure she has any feeling left at all for him after using up so much of it keeping him in line.

She then hurries to save Sollux, who had been killed. Feferi's title in the game is "the witch of life,' and so with a kiss she wakes up Sollux's dream self. Sollux is able to use this dream self as his new form in the waking world and the pair begin adventuring. It's implied they have some sort of relationship, whether it be matesprits or moirails.

The last we see of Feferi in their game is when she is fighting beside Sollux. Eridan shows up at some point and seems to attack Sollux, but Feferi's involvement in this, or if she knows about it at all, isn't shown. We do know that Sollux wins this scuffle. We also learn that the entire troll group goes to fight their main boss, the black king. Feferi fights beside Eridan during this and in the end the group barely manages to defeat the black king.

Before they can claim their prize Bec Noir attacks and the entire group is forced to retreat to the Veil. From the Veil Feferi spends most of her time with Sollux. Her dream self is killed by Bec Noir and she goes to sleep to meet Jade for the first time in the dream bubbles glubbed by the Horrorterrors.

personality: One of the best and most often used ways to describe Feferi is excitable. She's a teenager by human standards and an optimistic one at that, prone to giddiness and finding excitement in pretty much everything. It's something she's known for, enough that her friends expect it and even get concerned when she seems anything less than cheerful. For Feferi there's so many things to do and see, and maybe growing up with the constant prophecies her lusus whispered to her made her try to find surprise and excitement everywhere else, since she wouldn't be very surprised by the future. Or maybe she is just a ball of energy. Yeah, that sounds right.

Feferi's lusus was known as as Gl'bgolyb, a terrible tentacled monster whose size can accurately be measured in miles miles that is also known as the "The Rift's Carbuncle", "Emissary to the HorrorTerrors", or in more hushed tones, "Speaker of the Vast Glub." Feferi is the only troll to share her blood color, and that blood color is highest caste in troll society. It makes her the Heir Apparent for rulership of all of Alternia, next in line for Empress. Without her monstrous lusus this distinction would have probably gotten her killed, but that sea monster is not something even the Imperial Fleet wants to deal with, for more than just it's size.

Gl'bgolyb's voice is extremely dangerous. Normally it is just at a whisper, but if she were to raise it lower blooded trolls would begin to die. If she shouted all trolls on the planet would die, and if she released the 'vast glub,' a psychic shockwave, all trolls in the universe would die. As her keeper Feferi must keep Gl'bgolyb fed to keep that dangerous voice down, which she does in a way that she does not enjoy. With the help of her moirail (basically meaning a fated friend by troll labels) Eridan, she feeds her with other trolls lusii.

That is a piece of Feferi's personality that isn't obvious at first glance, that she is willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Her dreams for the throne seem almost childish in their optimism, wishing to change the troll term of culling, killing the weak or useless, to taking care of the weak instead. Despite this nurturing nature, strange enough for trolls, she is willing to orphan trolls if it means saving the whole race. So far in the series she has shown no deep guilt for this, though she is certainly not pleased by it and states at one point as much as she loves her lusus she will be glad when she doesn't need to feed her anymore.

Her lusus whispered prophecies to her, including a good deal of what would happen in the game and the fact the world would be destroyed. Because of this Feferi tends towards cryptic comments without fully realizing she's being cryptic in the first place. She has the strong belief that everyone, including herself, have an important role to play, one they were born to do. She can occasionally give off the air of knowing more than others of what's to come, though how much of it she does know is uncertain. Wherever she gets her information from, either her lusus or the gods of the furthest ring, which her lusus was emissary for, Feferi obviously trusts the information. She is even willing to go to sleep after her dream self died on what can be assumed is their information, despite Karkat's warnings and orders not to.

Despite some of this maturity Feferi can be pretty flighty. She gets tired of her responsibilities on Alternia, including both her lusus and more so keeping Eridan from killing other trolls. His emotional theatrics wear her down and she 'breaks up' with him as moirails, seeming to enjoy a newfound sense of freedom. Feferi seems to want to start a new life as their old lives end, putting the past behind her, even if that means leaving some things or people behind.

While Feferi is the highest blood color possible she is one of the few higher caste trolls who don't seem to care about caste. She states that sea dwelling, high blooded trolls aren't better than anyone else and even seems to get very attached to Sollux, one of the lower blooded trolls. She doesn't seem to have an wishes to lead either, letting Karkat take command even though she also shows no problem with disagreeing with him when he wants to give the human kids trouble.

Feferi is one of the nicest trolls, appearing to be more enthusiastic than anything. Eridan states at some point that she seems to get along with everyone and she admits that she doesn't hate anyone they know either. She is one of the few trolls to want to help and be friends with the humans rather than troll them and hate them for their part in messing up the troll's session.

abilities/powers: Feferi, for the most part, is rather like most trolls/humans ability-wise, with two notable exceptions. Since she's a sea dweller her body system supports living, aka breathing, underwater. The only other exceptional ability she's shown is when she managed to net and swim a dead whale to her guardian with only the force of her own swimming. She also propelled herself to a gate far in the sky by the force of her jump alone. It can be assumed she has a greater strength than one would gather from first glance.

She is also the Witch of Life, a power in the game that hasn't been clearly explained in canon. As I'm taking her from before she joined the game this isn't something she'd be able to use anyway.

first person sample: Wow, its sure been a crazy week. Apocalypse and little monsters and now a w)(ole new place entirely!
Its kind of exciting, in fact its really exciting! I didnt know about t)(is, even a little!
T)(oug)( maybe its not really a good exciting. Its a little scary even.

Its good to be surprised sometimes t)(oug)(, or else everyt)(ing becomes routine.
Still, I wouldnt mind a few answers! Like w)(ere I am, and w)(ere t)(e ot)(ers are, and w)(y t)(is )(uman mac)(ine is )(ere.
)(-E)(-E, I guess t)(ats a lot of questions in one go! OK! Dont want to bite t)(e hook )(ere...
So w)(ere am I?

third person sample: Sometimes Feferi had to admit it was really hard to keep up with her lusus. The creature, a deep sea monster most considered terrifying legend, whispered relentlessly. The end of the world, the end of all things, black and white and chessboards full of great armies, futures full of chance, union and destruction.

It was hard to make a lot of it out, and maybe if Feferi was a little more solemn she would feel resentment for the creature. The truth remained though, how that terrible beast kept her alive despite forces that would surely have had her head and royal tyrian purple blood spilled for politics and power. More so than that, Gl'bgolyb was what humans would consider a mother, father, sibling and pet all in one tentacled mess. Of course she didn't know about humans then, and would probably never understand their strange yet simple family structures, but the analogy remained the same.

She slowly sunk lower in the water, watching the indigo blood of the great whale Gl'bgolyb was currently eating run down her beak. Soon everything would start, Gl'bgolyb would die and be born again, even if it still felt like good bye.

Feferi placed her hand against one of the large tentacle lazily floating about, easily dwarfing her one hundredfold. It wriggled in a familiar way as she pressed her forehead against it and smiled sadly into its mass.

I'll see you soon. The tentacle wriggled further, holding still up until Feferi pushed back and turned towards home.

There wasn't a lot of time for that. After all, she had an important job to do.

case no: 11-09-60 if possible!

Unlike other trolls she's a sea dweller, meaning she has two fin like protrusions coming from the sides of her face. What their purpose is, if any, remains unknown.

Her hair is black, as per troll standard, long and a bit wavy. She seems to be the average height for trolls, which is about the average height for 13 year old humans presumably. The Pisces sign is a recurring them in her clothes and accessories.

Abilities:

Feferi, for the most part, is rather like most trolls/humans ability-wise, with two notable exceptions.

Roleplay Sample - Log: Sometimes Feferi had to admit it was really hard to keep up with her lusus.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:

[When the feed clicks on there’s Feferi, rolling her head like she’s getting at a crick in her neck. She seems pretty unperturbed.] Fin-ally! I was wondering when I’d get to go back home for a bit! Everyone else is always glubbing going back and forth. But oh! Jade!

[he face falls a bit] Oh right, Jade…

Anyray! What did I miss? Anything exciting?

This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. After reading the rules/faq for clarification, how do you expect your character to handle this and continue to function? Yes

Questions? Comments? Unlike other trolls she's a sea dweller, meaning she has two fin like protrusions coming from the sides of her face. What their purpose is, if any, remains unknown.

Her hair is black, as per troll standard, long and a bit wavy. She seems to be the average height for trolls, which is about the average height for 13 year old humans presumably. Unlike most trolls she gravitates towards bright colors, usually wearing pastel greens, blues and pinks in her clothes and jewelry. The Pisces sign is a recurring them in her clothes and accessories.

Abilities:

Feferi, for the most part, is rather like most trolls/humans ability-wise, with two notable exceptions.

Personality:

Feferi. One of the best and most often used ways to describe Feferi is excitable.

Finally Feferi is one of the nicest trolls, appearing to be more enthusiastic than anything. Eridan states at some point that she seems to get along with everyone and she admits that she doesn't hate anyone they know either. She is one of the few trolls to want to help and be friends with the humans rather than troll them and hate them for their part in messing up the troll's session.

History:

Feferi started out like all trolls did, hatched from the Mother Grub deep underground, keeping a larval stage until she developed into a young troll.

No really, extremely.Feferi regards Eridan as a "moirail," something similar to a close friendship where one party tends to look out for the other and keep them in check.

The last we see of Feferi in updates is when she is fighting beside Sollux. Eridan shows up at some point and seems to attack Sollux, but Feferi's involvement in this, or if she knows about it at all, isn't shown.

While the details of their game are still coming out we know the ending. Somehow something goes terribly wrong, forcing the trolls to a place known as the Veil. Whatever went wrong has something to do with another session of the game played by John, Dave, Rose and Jade, four human kids in a different timeline completely, and a "scratch" that has yet to be fully explained. The trolls are stuck in limbo essentially, trying to figure out their next move while some begin to make contact with the kids. Of course the strange flow of time makes things very confusing generally. This is where Feferi would be taken from.

Roleplay Sample - Log: Sometimes Feferi had to admit it was really hard to keep up with her lusus.

Feferi placed her hand against one of the large tentacle lazily floating about, easily dwarfing her a hundredfold. It wriggled in a familiar way as she pressed her forehead against it and smiled sadly into it's mass.

I'll see you soon. The tentacle wriggled further, holding still up until Feferi pushed back and turned towards home.

There wasn't a lot of time for that. After all, she had an important job to do.

Roleplay Sample - Journal: (Written in first person, IC, as though it were a journal entry.)

This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. The rest of the troll's universe isn't well explained though we do know other races exist. Trolls like to conquer them.

But what is a troll? They're basically grey skinned, orange eyed and candy corn horned humanoids. They're described as a violent, dangerous race that, as mentioned before, flies their Imperial Fleet around crushing any opposition. They are so war-like that apparently all adult trolls leave the planet to join the ranks of the Fleet in some way or another. The race is prone to nightmares, calmed by the green 'sopor slime' they sleep in to ease said terrors instead of sleeping in beds. They even have an entire off shoot of 'romance' that centers around a more level headed troll keeping a dangerous one from losing his or her head and becoming a threat to themselves and others.

Trolls are raised by a monster called a lusus instead of parenting in the human sense of the word. When a troll is hatched they have to undergo trials and survive traveling through the brooding caverns, making their way until one of the monsters there either kills them or decides to care for them. From that moment on the lusus and troll have a pull and push relationship- the lusus protects the young troll from various threats and acts as something of a mentor as the trolls takes care of the lusus in turn, almost like a zookeeper.

A lusus will only pick a troll that shares it's blood, which is another big, confusing matter. Trolls have different blood colors that correlate to their place in troll society. Red is considered peasants, low bloods, moving up through several colors, brown, yellow, green, ect, until you get to purple, the high caste blood. The very top of the caste are sea dwellers, trolls that live underwater and form an aristocracy that rules the entire planet.

So yeah, all that's pretty strange. Well all that is destroyed when SGrub comes around. To make an extremely long story short Alternia is destroyed, and this computer/general game SGrub gives twelve trolls the chance to survive and perhaps rebuild their race. They actually do pretty well, they make it to the end and beat the big bad, and in reward they get a shiny new universe to inhabit.

Unfortunately for our heroes the session is 'scratched.' A glitch, a problem, something stemming from the universe they created in the first place, Earth and the game of four human kids, ruins everything. The trolls are forced to flee to...

The Veil: This is the second setting. The Veil is an asteroid belt on the edge of their universe, in particular a laboratory on one of the asteroids. This lab obviously had something to do with their game session in general, but now it's their hideout. See when their universe began it's destruction a 'demon' came out to finish the job. It already destroyed two planets, Derse and Prospit, and now is coming after the trolls.

On the subject of those two planets, nearly all the trolls (besides Aradia) have a dream self sleeping on either Derse or Prospit. Why this is isn't clear but when a troll dies his or her dream self can take their place. One free game over.

On the Veil the trolls can contact the universe they created, more importantly contact the four kids on Earth that accidentally messed up their session. And all that background brings us to...

Personality: Feferi. One of the best and most often used ways to describe Feferi is excitable.

Abilities and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
- Strength (lmao) - Feferi is shown dragging around huge whales and jumped a very long way with the strength of her legs alone. The only other person shown to jump this way is pointedly mentioned to be outrageously strong so Feferi is probably pretty strong too, at least enough to swim a whale corpse around.
- Sea Dweller - She is a sea dweller so she can breath/survive living underwater. She can also live on land, thankfully.

Weaknesses:
- Age - She's technically a 13 year old by human standards. While troll teenagers are obviously different and deal with a lot she's still just a kid in a lot of ways.

Inventory:
- Brainfork: A double headed trident (http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/2x3dentkind#Brainfork)
- her sylladex, a card based system used for storing things (with 6 captcha cards if that's alright :] )
- recuperacoon, basically the troll equivalent of a bed
- a change of clothes or two
- a cuttlefish

Appearance: Feferi, like all trolls, has grey skin and orange/yellow in what humans would consider the whites of her eyes, with no color in the iris, simply a black pupil.

The Pisces sign is a recurring them in her clothes and accessories.

http://www.mspaintadventures.com/storyfiles/hs2/02421.gif

Age: 6 sweeps old, 13 years old by human standards.

OC/AU Justification ;
If AU, How is Your Version Different From Canon, and How Will That Come Across?
If OC, Did You Run Your Character Through a Mary-Sue Litmus Test?
And What Did You Score?

Samples ;
Log Sample:

Sometimes Feferi had to admit it was really hard to keep up with her lusus.

Network Sample:
T)(is is so weird! 38O
T)(is isn't w)(ere I'm supposed to be at all! Still, she is Eridan's kismesis and in their own weird ways Feferi and Vriska are kind of similar- if they even know about the similar lusus feeding bit. Feferi thinks there's probably way more to Vriska than meets the eye, good or bad.

Equius Zahhak ♐ b100b100dtroll ♥
- Gosh, this guy is weird! No one can beat him in crabbiness, he's simply the best there is. Still, even with his weird trolling plan he was a pretty good leader, and he always helps everyone with rom advice. Eridan is a pain in the nub but he was always helping back when her lusus needed feeding, and even if he's overbearing he does at least try to have her back. He's a terrible friend and a really good friend and the troll that Feferi probably knew longest.

Abilities: Feferi, for the most part, is rather like most trolls/humans ability-wise, with two notable exceptions.

In SBurb she has a weapon known as Don's Entente, a golden double culling fork (basically a double headed trident.) It's considered a legendary weapon reserved for royalty. Her fetch modus, the way items are stored and used in the game, is yet to be shown.

Personality: To start the inevitable puns on both fish and Pisces, Feferi has a bubbly personality. She's known to get excited over practically everything and seems unafraid to show it. Given her kind and their penchant for the darker and angrier it's a bit strange, but a lot of her ideas seem to be radical by troll standards. If the world wasn't ending she had a dream of bringing together the two troll races, land dwellers and sea dwellers, along with changing the troll idea of 'culling' from eliminating the weak to taking care of them.

Of the trolls Feferi seems to be one of the more even tempered, and has the highest caste blood. Unlike a good deal of the 'blue bloods' she has no superiority complex and seems to genuinely believe that no one caste is truly better than the other. While her personality is generally a little goofy she's shown to have no problem with being serious when the times call for it or being brutally honest, at least when it comes to those close to her.

It can be assumed she generally gets along with most of the other trolls, as Eridan states she gets along with pretty much everyone and she admits she can't think of anyone she really hates. She does seem a little clueless and perhaps childish in some cases, both troll romantically and with her hobby of catching cuttlefish and 'hoofbeasts' (basically underwater horses) in a sort of elaborate role playing scenario.

She tends towards being slightly cryptic and occasionally knows more than she lets on. Her lusus (guardian) 'whispers to her' and tells her prophecies, most of which she believes and some which she doesn't. She believes rather strongly in everyone having a place in the grand scheme of things and everything being important to the overall picture, as well as being accepting of her own place and even enjoying it despite some of the hardship involved. She even seems to take some joy in the fact she gets to start anew, away from the troll politics and many factors that weighed at her. Of most of the doomsayers of the series Feferi is perhaps the most optimistic, heading forward with a smile rather than looking back at the ruins behind her.

History: Feferi started out like all trolls did, hatched from the Mother Grub deep underground, keeping a larval stage until she developed into a young troll.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:
Wow, its sure been a crazy week. Apocalypse and little monsters and now a w)(ole new place entirely!
Its kind of exciting, in fact its really exciting! Like w)(ere I am, and w)(ere t)(e ot)(ers are, and w)(y t)(is )(uman mac)(ine is )(ere.
)(-E)(-E, I guess t)(ats a lot of questions in one go! OK! Those go here. /too boring for this :<

Oh uh, I guess just a note on her typing. All trolls have a typing quirk, and hers (beside the color and not using apostrophes) is to replace h's with )( (like the pisces symbol) and to add dashes in front of capitol E's.

-E see. It's a trident. Yeah.

Of course fretting and thinking over the Sollux situation took up a lot of her time but Karkat had nipped that in the nub. Sort of. At least she felt better about it.

So she crept through the hive, peeking into the room Sollux was in, watching as he typed away at his computer. She grinned and slunk over, how stealthy her approach actually was is debatable. She wasn't exactly the most graceful troll, out of water at least. You didn't spend nearly all your life underwater and splash out as the epitome of land grace.]

Solluuuuux- [because even she wasn't dumb enough to surprise the high level psionic too much. She grinned as she grabbed his shoulders.] Gotcha!
