[ctrl+alt+create live] New In-Person Seattle Event in January
Nothing fishy going on. Unless there is?
đ December Vibe-a-Thon Recap
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our recent ctrl+alt+create live: Virtual Vibe-a-Thon! Whether you were watching live or catching up after the fact, it was an incredible night of creativity, community, and âvibe coding.â
Thereâs still time to create / submit your entry for the gift card giveaway (with the eventâs âSHARKâ somehow infused).

đ§ What We Learned: The Power of the AI IDE
Our guest, Dan Clem, gave us a masterclass on Cursor, the AI-powered IDE thatâs changing how we build software locally. Here are the highlights:
Planning Mode vs. Execution: We learned that the âpro moveâ is getting Cursor to create an architecture or PRD (Product Requirement Document) first. This âcontext engineeringâ drastically reduces the likelihood of misdirection.
The Agent Experience: Cursorâs Agent mode can run terminal commands, create file structures, and debug in real-time.
âTab Tabâ Magic: We saw Cursorâs autocomplete in action, which can suggest entire functions based on your intent.
Vibe Coding is for Everyone: You donât need a CS degree to bring an idea to life.
đŚ The Keyword of the Night: SHARK
We challenged everyone to build somethingâanythingâaround this keyword. We saw everything from a âShark Mood Trackerâ to a high-intensity âShark Typing Gameâ (shoutout to Matt Evans for that one).
đ Yes, Thereâs Still Time to Create & Submit Your Entry!
Did you vibe code something during the stream or immediately after (including RIGHT NOW)? We want to see it! Submit your link and your thoughts in our feedback form to be eligible for our surprise giveaway.
đšď¸ What Will You Make with âSHARK?â
I was able to re-create a video game that I used to play on the Xbox all the time. Well, Fish Frenzy is close enough - and, yes, you have to avoid the SHARK!
đ Save the Date: Our Next In-Person Event!
We are taking the vibes back to the real world! Our next event is scheduled for January 17th, 2026 in Seattle.
Where: Foundations
When: January 17, 2026
What: In-person workshopping, networking, and live creation.
We canât wait to see what you create next (and, yes, weâre always looking for sponsors). See you IRL again soon!
Yours Digitally,
