The Course (re)Design Intensive (CDI) is an opportunity for you to be guided through the step-by-step process of designing a learner-centered course that aligns with your goals and the needs of your program. Benefit from dedicated time in a collaborative space with constructive feedback from colleagues to produce a well-thought-out course plan.

Celebrate Learning Week
From May 4 to May 8, 2026, the Provosts and Vice-President Academic from UBCO and UBCV will collaboratively present this cross-campus week-long initiative showcasing teaching and learning at UBC through open lectures, poster sessions, panel discussions, workshops and more. UBC faculty, staff and students as well as community members are encouraged to participate in Celebrate Learning Week by attending and/or coordinating events.
Submit an event for CLW by March 31st. Contribute a formal session or creative activity that celebrates learning in action.

Instructional Skills Workshop for Faculty & Post-Docs
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is an internationally certified program designed to increase teaching effectiveness and encourage reflection on teaching practice. In a supportive atmosphere, new and experienced educators try new teaching approaches and sharpen existing skills.
This program’s success relies on active participation and collaboration of all participants who, as a team, work together to support each other in enhancing their teaching effectiveness. Participation is limited to six individuals. A certificate of completion will be awarded to each participant.
 Dates: August 11th, 13th, 18th and 20th, 9:00AM-4:00PM
