    FAQs

Can I take just one course?

Yes! You can take any course independently based on your professional development needs — there’s no requirement to enrol in more than one.

Do I get a credential for completing a course?

Yes. Each restructured course comes with a micro-credential upon successful completion.

Is this related to the CAE designation?

These courses are part of CSAE’s competency-focused offerings. While they can be combined toward the CAE designation, you are not required to pursue the full designation to take or benefit from individual courses.

Can I still pursue the CAE designation if I take individual courses first?

Yes — if you choose to take one or more courses for professional development now, you can still pursue the full CAE designation later. The five restructured courses (Optimize Governance, Establish Direction, Lead People, Manage Operations, and Deliver Value) can be taken independently in any order, and each includes its own micro-credential. When you’re ready to work toward the CAE designation, you can continue learning through the same courses and complete the additional requirements such as the capstone project to earn the designation.
