Every year, IISER Bhopal organizes a week-long Summer Outreach Camp to encourage high school students to explore the exciting world of science and understand its role in shaping society. Students currently studying in Classes IX, X, XI, or XII from across India are eligible to apply. The program introduces participants to fascinating topics in natural and engineering sciences through interactive lectures and hands-on laboratory activities. Sessions from the Humanities and Social Sciences provide broader perspectives on science and society. Along with academic learning, students participate in interactive activities and engage with IISER Bhopal faculty, senior students, and peers, making the camp a stimulating and inspiring experience.

Program Highlights

• Faculty Interaction: Engage in dialogues with leading faculty members across Natural sciences, Engineering Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences.
• Advanced Instrumentation: Witness the operation of cutting-edge research equipment in our central facilities.
• Holistic Learning: Special modules on Science Communication and the History of Science.

Participant Information

• Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in Classes IX, X, XI, or XII as of May 2026.
• Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the criteria approved by the competent authority.
• Food & Accommodation: Selected participants will be provided secure on-campus hostel housing and nutritious meals.

Certification & Recognition

Upon successful completion of the full program, students will be awarded an official Certificate of Participation from IISER Bhopal, recognizing their commitment to scientific outreach and research-based learning.

This is a residential camp; students are expected to stay on campus for the entire duration (May 4 - 9, 2026) to fully benefit from the collaborative environment.
