idek why, but a few days ago I decided to try the Nuzlocke challenge in Pokemon Blue. I just got my fourth badge, and figured I'd post my team.
For those who aren't aware, the Nuzlocke challenge consists of these two rules:
1. You may only catch the first Pokemon you find in each area. If it faints or flees, tough luck.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it is considered dead and you must release it.

They're all currently at level 30.

2011: A Year In Review

I'm back, folks! I've been doing some spy work in LA for the past 9 days. My cloak wore off just when I captured the briefcase, but I managed to get away mostly unscathed. The administrator is most pleased with the intel I brought back.

With that out of the way, it's time for my year in review!
The year started with some major problems. Fears that the implications of my unhealthy lifestyle had finally caught up with me, mostly. After finally getting checked out, I started going back to college. This left me with not a lot of free time to work on my webcomic, but it was worth it in the end, because I took two pretty significant classes and passed them both, one with an A.
My art improved a lot, since I've been hanging out a lot on Temini.
Other than that, pretty uneventful year. Meme coming up after this.

After being completely stumped for the past four days, I finally came to my dad with the study sheet as a last resort. I figured hey, a testimony from a man who was in the prime of his youth during many of these events would be better than no help at all. Turns out this is exactly what I should have done fucking days ago, because I went from feeling completely hopeless to having a pretty good perspective on all but one of the questions, including the two most important ones by far.

Now, if anyone needs me, I'll be in the Bear Cave.

Jesus fucking Christ I made burgers tonight and they were fucking tasty but while slicing the onions I fucking lopped off the corner of my thumb and it took a good hour to stop the bleeding for long enough to disinfect the wound and it'll probably take a month to heal and FUUUUUCK

Wellp. Cat's out of the bag; my dad knows that I still talk to Shaolyn.
He took it pretty well. He didn't even seem mad that I kept our relationship a secret from him for three years. He even asked why I haven't gone to see her yet, even though the last time I talked about the idea of seeing her (back when we were just "friends") he said something along the lines that "sometimes it's best to keep internet friendships on the internet" or some crap.

I doubt this means he's going to lend me the money required to visit her, but hey. Being able to put all this Romeo and Juliet crap behind me and come out into the open is a start.

Got results back from my latest history test. I nailed it; this is the best I've done yet on a history test. I almost got an A. Like if I had just one more correct answer, I'd have gotten it. This more than makes up for the F I got on my last test. All I need is at least a C in the final and I'm golden.

I've also completed half of my linguistics assignments. I have three weeks to complete the other half. This month's really gonna separate the men from the boys.

Other news: After screwing around with Phoenix Wright and Ghost Rider some more in UMvC3, I think they might make it onto my main team. I'll need to see about two things though: How much Captain America and Arthur have improved, and how I'd fare with both my current team and my considered team online. Because when the Shuma-Gorath DLC was released, I thought he'd end up replacing Haggar on my team, but then I took him for a spin online and got my balls rocked. So, we'll see.

Today my day consisted of camping in the front room with movies and beer. What for, you ask? Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

My favorite of the new characters are Hawkeye, Ghost Rider and Strider Hiryu (even though Hiryu technically isn't new). Rocket Raccoon, Phoenix Wright and Frank West are pretty interesting too. Nemesis and Nova are surprisingly fun to play as. Sadly, I'm not as good at playing Dr. Strange, Firebrand and Iron Fist as I'd hoped. But thankfully, Vergil is harder to play than he looks as well. Dante's already annoying as hell, I don't need to deal with two scrub characters in every team I face online.

And now, I await the delicious, salty tears of Mega Man fanboys upon seeing Nova's ending.
