it's been a while!!

All my classes today got cancelled...so YAY!! I got an email about my comm class being cancelled, but my computer art teacher didn't email, so I got up, got around, and froze my ass off walking to class only to find out it was cancelled. But, what a good day to have all my classes cancelled! My grandparents and my mom are coming today because my sister has a basketball game at Hartwick, which is the college right next to us. So, they are gonna spend the night and celebrate my 21st bday with me (which is tomorrow!!) :) :)

The weather here is HORRIBLE. The wind is insane, just sitting in here I can hear it howling. it's sooo loud. And going outside...you walk two steps and you feel like you've been outside for 5 years. By the time you get to class your face and legs are so numb you wonder if you're paralyzed, and you've had so much snow thrown in your face people look at you like you're a walking snowman. lol its so bad!

Not much has really been happening here. The weight room in our building is finally open..i'm so happy cause there was no way in hell I was gonna walk all the way to the other side of campus to go to the gym in this weather!

Right now we are doing this thing called "Do it in the dark" and we are having a competition between all the dorm halls to see who can save the most energy. So, there are signs all around the building that say "want pizza? turn off your lights!" So, the hall that saves the most energy gets a $200 pizza party and free snacks during finals week! I said "hey, we should turn off all the lights in the building and just use flashlights...we'd totally win!"

Ok, guess I better clean up a lil bit in here and maybe work on some homework...cause I certainly won't get to it later!

I AM OFFICIALLY ON CHRISTMAS BREAK!! EEK!! :)

most of my finals went well....
My art history one was easy. We got to use notes, so that was why it was easy lol. My earth science one SUCKED ASS. I'm afraid I failed. :X. worst class eva.
My history one was pretty easy too...so yay!!

I got to my drawing class at 8am this morning to turn my cd in, along with 5 other people in my class...and our drawing teacher didn't show up. We waited for over 20 minutes then got pissed and left. Lmao we went and found his mailbox and put our cd's in it. Not cool....then I didn't go back to sleep cause usually once i'm up, i'm up. And I always feel like crap after I take naps...so I don't usually take them.

I know I posted this one before...but it wasn't done!! Now it is! haha

My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park And — Kelly Clarkson?
'Idol' may be surprise booking at May 5-6 festival in New Jersey.

In previous years, organizers of the Bamboozle festival have gone out of their way to book acts that seem, well, rather out of place among the sea of girl jeans and guyliner.

Take, for example, the 2006 edition of the fest, when Method Man shared the stage with Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday and a host of other MySpace faves (see "Look Out, Emo Kids: Method Man To Bring The Ruckus To Bamboozle '06"). Or earlier this year, at the inaugural Bamboozle Left, when California MC Murs performed on a bill that included Dashboard Confessional and Cute Is What We Aim For (see "Dashboard, Plus-44 Help Bring Bamboozle Fest To West Coast").

So when it came time to announce the headliners for the 2007 Bamboozle, the brains behind the event were ready with another eyebrow-raiser, one that will certainly have message boards pumping with poorly typed vitriol.

Linkin Park have been confirmed to headline the second day of the 'Boozle, to be held May 5 and 6 at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Organizers named fest mainstays My Chemical Romance first-night headliners last month.

The Bamboozle will be Linkin Park's first U.S. gig in more than two years, and fans can expect to hear some of the material the band has been working on with producer Rick Rubin for its much-anticipated third studio album, which is tentatively due next year (see "Mike Shinoda Hosts Art Show, Says Linkin Park LP Gets Rick Rubin Excited").

And while the prospect of live Linkin Park will undoubtedly excite some, what will the Bamboozle's core audience think? Well, according to festival organizers, that's really not important. For Bamboozle to grow, they argue, it needs to diversify.

"When we started the Bamboozle, we decided that we can't be molded," organizer John D'Esposito told MTV News. "The festival has to diversify and embrace different scenes to make it better. We'd like to think of the Bamboozle as more than a festival. It's a community. To be honest, I never thought we would get Linkin Park. And we're not going to stop there. We're not afraid to press the 'pop' button. If we cross into pop, we'll go there. Because if we don't, it takes away from the overall experience of the festival."

And speaking of that "pop button," D'Esposito said that there's still one rather unexpected surprise guest scheduled to appear at the 2007 Bamboozle. And while he won't reveal exactly who that mystery performer is, he did drop some serious hints.

"Every year, my son, Linc, gets to pick a special guest. Last year, he picked Method Man, and people went crazy. And his pick this year is going to have everyone doing a double take," D'Esposito said. "He's got an idea, and she's confirmed to be at the Bamboozle ... I can't say who, but I will say she's very popular, and that she's an 'Idol.' "

There have been three female "American Idol" champs — Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia Barrino and Carrie Underwood — but only Clarkson has been cementing her burgeoning punk cred by working with former Minutemen bassist Mike Watt. So does that mean fans can look forward to seeing the Breakaway star rock the stage at next year's fest?

"Oh man," D'Esposito laughed. "Um, no comment!"

D'Esposito was a bit more forthcoming with other details about the 2007 Bamboozle, including the total number of bands fans can expect to see ("120 over two days") and the number of stages that'll be packed into the Meadowlands Complex (six). Attendees can also look forward to a bunch of glorious ephemera, including a Ferris wheel and an on-site recording studio. Tickets will run $35 for a single day or $65 for a two-day pass, he said.

A special pre-sale for the two-day passes will begin Friday at 12 p.m. ET though the festival's site, TheBamboozle.com

Today I went up to Sam's at 10 so Matty could look at my computer. He ran a scan on it that was supposed to fix any Windows problems....but apparently mine was just past fixing lol, cause it didn't work. So, we backed up my documents and then reformatted it. Sad.

I got home and turned it on, then finished all the reformatting, and it was so empty. :(

I had to re-download everythinggggg. My windows updates took like 2 years and crap. I did forget about a chunk of my music, and all my fonts...and such. So, I lost all that. I think Sam has most of the music though, and I'm just gonna have to get the fonts back little by little as I find them. SUCKS.

But, I just finished putting over 400 songs in iTunes and I don't want to look at that anymore right now! I still gotta organize it all and crap. Oy!!!

I have the new AIM...its kinda cool. Not as bad as Triton I don't think...I really hated that lol. It's kinda like Triton, but for some reason, it just doesn't piss me off as much as Triton did, so thats a plus.

I'm slowly getting all my websites back...I'm trying to remember all the ones I had at the top of my firefox page. I've got 11 right now and I know there were at least 15. *ponders*

Ok i've been sitting here working on this computer all day and my legs keep going numb...ahhh!!! So bye!!

grr my computer just locked up and I lost this whole entry...so here's take 2! lol

Ok, so I had to scan my drawings the other day for my art class, so i figured i'd post them here for all you lovely people to see! Some are just random ones I did on my own too. The ones I did in my drawing class took me at least 4 classes, which is 8 hours, and some I spent more time on here in my room. Anywhoozle...here we go!

This drawing is of a church where I live!! It was a homework assignment for my drawing class, and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out!! There are some flaws that need fixing, of course there are a lot of flaws in all my drawings lol! My teacher really liked it, and I felt special because most of the people in my class didn't do it cause they said it was "too hard." More like they just didn't try to do it haha. When he first said we had to draw a church I freaked out a little, but it wasn't that bad really!

This drawing is of the courtyard in the Fine Arts building here at Oneonta. It was a drawing we did in class. I thought it was finished and turned it in, but its not. Whoops. I forgot to draw the blinds on the windows (I did them on one so its pretty obvious I forgot them on all the others lol) and I forgot to do the stuff on the flags. Ut oh!

This is a still life drawing we did in class. This one is actually one of my favorites. Oh, and incase you're wondering what the thing on top of the printer is....it's part of the printer. Maybe the paper tray? I don't really know, but I know it goes with the printer hahaaa.

This drawing was a homework assignment we had to do for class. We had to draw a flower in a vase, and well, I chose sunflowers!! Pretty! haha I went to Wally and bought some fake ones and a vase. Then we had to use white charcoal for the areas where there was light. Well, I used white Conte...pretty much the same!

These next two aren't so interesting. Just still life of shapes. The first one was one we did in class, and the second was a homework assignment. The arrow is just to show where the light source was coming from.

These next two drawings were just two I did for the heck of it. The first one was just a quick sketch of a leg and the next is some neopet that looked cool that I felt like drawing! hahaha

and i'm doing another drawing for the heck of it right now because I dont want to study for my history test on friday. hahaaa. hopefully it'll turn out gooood. lol i've been browsing art work on deviantART and there are some really amazing drawings on there, so it just inspires me to draw (with hopes that they'll look as good as some of those, but they really never will! lmao)

wellllllll today I go home!!! Spamo is going to Alfred to visit Matty, so I am gonna go home! yay i'm excited. I wanna go shopping and there are some thing I need to get from home. Plus, I wanna get some songs and such. The college blocked me from downloading off the Express...well KCE Media. I downloaded a few kelly songs that were mp3 and it wouldn't open them and so I'm guessing the college blocked me cause I downloaded songs off there from here before and didnt have a problem. They probably saw that I downloaded from there and put a stop to it haha. Meanies.

I had a history test today and I think I did well!!! I was running out of time on the essay though so I didn't have much time to elaborate and most of my paragraphs were only a few sentences long haha. Oh well, its not english class!! Ugh there is this girl in my class who drives me INSANE. She always has some excuse for everything, and our teacher always believes her and gives her an extension or whatever. He pretty much gave us the whole test a week in advance, and she comes in today and says that she didn't get any of his emails and that she only got all the terms last night and didn't have time to study them all so he was like "well, I want you to have time to study so you can take the test on monday or wednesday." WTF. She had a week to get them!! If she couldn't get them like...by two days before, she should have asked someone sooner. Sorry, but she totally had time and well she snoozed so she should have 'losed' but she knew the teacher would give in. Grr she drives me insane. She whined about our paper that was supposed to be due today and got it pushed back til wednesday, which hey, im not complaining cause the whole class got it pushed back, but still. If she pulls this crap everytime we have a test or an assignment, i'll be pissed. Me and Em are always like "WTF!! She complains about everything!! This is college not high school!" She needs to growww up. [/end rant]

alriggggghty then. Well I'm going home to a house full of cats....because there are a lot of stray cats at my house that keep multiplying, and we feed them all, so we are getting them fixed so that there arent like 50 this next season. haha, so my mom has like...12? cats in our house, including our cat. crazy. She IMed me last night freaking out cause she didn't have enough cages for them all and she didn't know what to do with them!! They haven't all had their shots and they are outdoor cats, so they can't be around our cat incase they have a feline disease. So i'm gonna be taking care of cats when I get home!! hehe, my mom has all the strays right now except Thomas, who is my fave!!! He's a big tiger cat, and he is the most lovable thing ever. He LOVES to be pet. He's so cute! I heart him. I just want to steal him and bring him to college with me!! ♥

k i'm done blabbering now!!! Time to go take some meds for my stupid cramps. Gah I totally wasn't supposed to have a visitor til next weekend. grrr

hhoookie, I am all moved in at Oneonta!!!

Yesterday, I got up at about 8:30 and got around, then packed the car. We met Spamo and her family at walmart, and then my dad led the way cause he wanted to go through Whitney Point. So, my sis and I follwed, along with everyone else. I must say the Whitney Pt. way was pretty boring. We went through this area where this HUGE festival was going on (no idea what it was for) and we got caught in traffic for a lil bit. Other than that, the ride went well.

When we got here we couldn't find our dorm. lmao. It's not on the main road where most of the other dorms are, its a lil behind...so we were kinda confused. We drove around in circles a few times til we found the right road. Then, we parked on like a sidewalk part haha and we only had a half hour to unload stuff. Sam and I went in and got our keys. We met our RA. He said his name was Rooney, but his door clearly says Chris. Anywho...we got into our quad, and he showed us how to use this code thing thats on our door. There are like 5 little black buttons and they are labelled with roman numberals. Then you just push them according to your combination, turn the knob and voila!! you can enter the quad without a key! very convenient for when you're just running to the bathroom or something. that way you don't have to take your keys with you haha. But to get in our actual room we do need a key...which costs $150 if we happen to lose it :0

Our rooms are freaking small. We don't have a lot of room...but its ok i guess!! lol i've never lived in a dorm before, unlike Sam, so she was used to having a bigger room. Me on the other hand...didn't. haha so its cool

Our walmart BLOWS right now. They are remodeling so the place is a freaking mess. it was a disaster. You would be in the pot and pans isle, and you go to the next one and it would be hunting stuff. Insane. And there were boxes everywhere. not cool.

We finally just got internet not long ago. It crashed like right after we got here (before I even registered my computer...so we haven't been able to use it til today). The tech guy was walking around and he said they were unsure of what to do. They finally figured it out after some work. I had to download a bunch of software, then do scans to make sure my computer was up to date and that my virus scan was up to date. My virus scan needed to be updated, but I couldn't do it without an internet connection, so I couldn't pass the tests to connect to the internet. lol so the tech guy took me to the computer lab downstairs and we downloaded the update onto my USB drive and then brought it up and put it on my computer. Then I finally got registered, and turns out I registered my wireless connection and not my ethernet cable. We don't have wireless in the dorm, so that didn't work. Then i couldn't get my computer to recognize the ethernet cable. It was messy. haha i finally got it to work though.

This morning we got up and registered our cars at the campus police station. $90 poopin' dollars. then we went back to our crazy walmart to get some curtains and a curtain rod...but we left with neither. They had curtains that were the right size, but my bed comforter is kinda a funky color and not much goes with it lol. Then we went to Home Depot to get another rug like the one we have, then look at curtains there. Negative. They didn't have the same color rug we have, and they didn't have curtains. We did get a rod though.

We decided to go to the "mall" as they call it and look there too. JC Penney didn't have a single curtain, and the mall...isn't really a mall!! haha there are like 20 stores. It's pretty dang small. Better than nothing I guess!

We ate lunch at Wilsbach...it was pretty good. Its like buffet style...and you can eat however much you want. They have pizza, fries, burgers, salads, sandwiches, spaghetti, foreign food, and all sorts of stuff. pretty sweet.

We ended up eating dinner there too. We were gonna go to Mills for that to check it out...but only the Market place is open in there, so we just went back to Wilsbach.

Our roomies moved in today...Martina and Alicia. They are nice. Haven't really talked to them much yet though!

I didn't take any pics of the common room yet, because there pretty much isn't anything in it besides a couch and a bunch of boxes lol.

oh and I had my last name on my dry erase board...well, my full name, so i messily took it out in photoshop..so thats why it looks funky ;)

I should have taken a video as we were going up in the elevator to get to the top...it was sooo freaky!!! you just kept going higher, and higher, and higher and omg!!! you could see outside from in the elevator and it was scary!!! the buildings kept getting smaller and smaller!! anywho..here's some views from up in the tower:

So, last night was my Kelly concert!! Well holy heck it was amazing...of course!! I ♥ Kelly!! I got pics and vids...but they aren't the greatest :(
None of my pics came out really good..and the audio on my vids suck ass. :(

Ok, so I got up at 9am and got all around and everything! At 10am we all met here, then went to walmart where we got some food, water, gatorade, ice, and a marker thing to write on the windows of my car with. I wrote "HONK IF U <3 KELLY CLARKSON" on my back windshield. It was hott!

Anywho...it was about 11am when we left Wally! Before we even got to Geneva, which is like 45 mins away, my check engine light came on. Well, I realized I was due for an oil change, so we pulled over and D and Spamo checked my oil (cause I didn't know how...lmao don't laugh!) It was really low, so I bought some and we put it in...but my light never went out.

While driving thru Geneva we went thru the ghetto, haha. We were like, "Ok, we've got a car full of white girls, all wearing Kelly tshirts, with "HONK IF U <3 KELLY CLARKSON" on the back window, with Kelly music blaring...We're gonna get our asses kicked" lmao!

We got on the thruway in Geneva, and rode that to the Six Flags Darien Lake exit. Then we just went down the road a ways until we got there! Yay for us not getting lost!! I did go through 2 red lights though...not on purpose! I just wasn't paying attention I guess. But I did look to make sure no one was coming, them went. And then everyone in the car would laugh and say "you just went through a red light!" and i'd be like "damnit!" lmaooo

Anywho...we got to the park at about 1pm. We didn't have to pay for parking, cause we were there for the concert! w00t the lady at the gate was like "well, I bet you guys are here for the concert because of your shirts!" lol we were all wearing out Kelly tour shirts from last year!

So, we parked then upgraded to tickets to get into the park. We rode all the rollercoasters...lol!! I <3 rollercoasters. Then, we rode a few other rides too!!

I SWEAR EVERYONE IN THE PARK ASKED US WHERE WE GOT OUR SHIRTS FROM. I'm dead serious. At first it was ok, and we were just like "we got them on her last tour last year." But, it got to the point where we couldn't walk from one ride to the next without like 10 people asking us. Obviously there weren't many die hard Kelly fans there...because our shirts said "HAZEL EYES TOUR" on them pretty big, and this was obviously the Addicted Tour. They also say 2005 on them...apparently people don't know what year it is! lmao. It got annoying after a while!

At like 4:30 we saw a lil performing show called "Totally Pop" where these people danced and sang popular pop songs from now and then. Lmao the one girl goes "How many of y'all are going to the concert tonight??!! and everyone like sceams, then the girl starts singing "Miss Independent." Haha, well, she butchered it. lmao!

A little before 6, we headed over to the gates to get into the Performing Arts Center. Well, it freaking DOWNPOURED. We got soaked. It sucked so bad. Everyone was chanting "LET US IN! LET US IN!" but nooo. I guess they had technical problems, so they couldn't let us in at 6. Anywho...the rain FINALLY stopped...and THEN this guy comes up to the gate and throws us all ponchos. Lovely of them to wait til after we were all soaked and it stopped raining to do so. Thanks for that pals!

They finally let us...and we headed for the merchandise table (along with the rest of the world that was there lmao). I bought the light blue shirt seen here:

I wanted the one to the right of the light blue one..the splotchy one...but they didn't have any smalls. Only large and XL. Poo.

So, after we got our merchandise we went in the bathroom and changed into our new shirts..since the ones we were wearing were soaked. Then, we found our seats...which were actually better than I thought they would be!! We had good seats, but we weren't as close as we were last time though.

Anywho...we got in our seats and got set, then I looked at my phone and realized it was 7pm and freaked out, because I was supposed to meet a girl from the Express at 6:30pm to give her the Buffalo CD to give to Kelly. So, I ran out to the merch table where I was supposed to meet her and waited for a half hour. I couldn't find her. She told me what she would be wearing, how old she was, and who she would be with. But, I didn't see anyone that really fit the description. No one was wearing a white tank top. But, it had poored, so who knows, she could have changed her clothes or something. But, anywho...there were so many people there that at that point, I had no choice at finding her. So, I had no choice but to give up :(

I felt so bad...cause I was in charge of getting that cd to Kelly...and she didn't get it. But, there really was nothing I could do at that point. So, I went back to my seat and waited for the concert to start. It started late! Rooney was the opening band...they were good!! I recognized one of their songs...I've def. heard it before. But, I had no idea who they were!

Kelly came on a little after 9. I LOVED how she did "Addicted" and "Beautiful Disaster!" Amazing. The whole concert was amazing. I did a ton of voice posts...which, if you've listened, you can tell came out realllly shitty. I was so sad when I came home and listened :(

Kelly sang the full setlist for our show...so we were lucky!! She didn't sing I Hate Myself For Losing You, but she cut that one, so she won't be singing it anymore on this tour. I love the new songs. Maybe is def. my fave. I love it.

The show opened with "You Shook Me All Night Long" playing. Once that was over, you could see a shadow of someone playing voilin behind a curtain. Then, you saw Kelly's shadow of her standing sideways with her hand on her hip with one leg forward. Then she sang "It's like I can't breathe" and they ripped the curtains down. She sounded so good. Right on. Amazing.

Then, during mid conversation, she's like "omg look at the moon!" and she points to it. Then she's like "sorry, i have ADD" lmao.

I'm thinking i'm going to post the concert pics in another post...because this one is extremely long and i'm not even done yet! lol

Anywho...Kelly sang "Shelter," the song she sang for the ReAct Now concert on MTV to benefit Hurricane Katrina. She had a backdrop that was like a forest. It was really pretty!

"Home" was a cover she sang...awesome. I loved it!

And "Maybe" is amazing. It's just awesome. I seriously can't wait til next year for this new cd.

lol Kelly had a jacket on for the first 2 songs....I think she was crazy for wearing it! Kelly...its July! lmao well anywho, when she took it off, people said they literally saw steam coming off her cause she was sweating so much. lol!! Like seriously, there was steam coming off her!

For Breakaway, she went out into the audience and sang. She was like back in the sections by the lawn, so we turned around and stood on our chairs to see her. Haha then when she was done singing Breakaway, She went into Since U Been Gone and walked back up onto stage...but sadly she walked down the side of my section that I wasn't on. I was right on the aisle seat on the other side too. poo.

Anywho...overall, the show was amazing!! I forgot my camera sucks in the dark though..and well, Kelly was on when it was dark out. So, I didn't get like any good pics :(
and the sound quality on my videos is terrible from the music being so loud and from so many people screaming.

When we came out, her tourbus was right there, so I got my pic next to it! hehe

It took us an hour to get out of the parking lot. It was crazy. My mom wanted me to get some antifreeze incase my car overheated since the check engine light was still on, so we stopped and got that. Then, we got on the thruway and we went towards Buffalo...we were supposed to go towards Albany. Lol, so I had to pull a U-turn. hahaa

I was pretty tired once we got close to home!! We didn't get home til 3am! and I stayed up til 5am talking to people online and uploading some of my videos to youtube!

Ok, that's about it! I love going to Kelly concerts!! I wish I could go to another one! She's amazing! ♥

I am taking a high risk here though....if I win this m&g and can't go...I can never apply for a m&g again....OH MY!! I don't even have tickets. But I put in for 2 tickets on Ticketmaster...and it came up with the section just before the lawn. So, there are still seats left. Ok, so that's a video from the Kelly Clarkson concert I was at on August 1st. I looked forever for a video of this, and I couldn't find one! Now I have one!!

LMAO, so during "Beautiful Disaster" (a capella), this guy like three rows ahead of us yells "HAVE MY CHILDREN!!!" and kelly cracks up in the middle of the song. Then she's like "have my what??!" and the guy is like "CHILDREN!!" and she asks for them to turn the house lights on so she can see the dude who yelled it, and they show him in the audience. Too bad they didn't show him from the font instead of the side, cause you might have seen ME! I was like 3 rows behind him!! ROFL. OMG, that was the funniest thing ever.
