What's New in Crash Zone and Crime Zone Version 10?
Crash Zone and Crime Zone Version 10 are here! The programs have a modern, new look, but the buttons for features are in the same place so you won't have to hunt for commands. There are improvements throughout, including more realistic 3D graphics, display of the 2D drawing and the 3D scene at the same time, a new file preview feature, and the ability to show 3D terrain by draping a satellite image over 3D data points.

More Realistic, High Resolution, 3D Graphics - CAD Zone 10 incorporates a new 3D graphic rendering engine* for vastly more realistic 3D drawings and animations. The user can control light intensity, vehicle shine, angle of the lighting source, glass transparency, and more.
* Due to the new, high-resolution graphics, Version 10 requires a video board with support for Open GL 3 or higher. Click here for more information and to test your computer for compatibility.

Place Vehicle GPS Data on Satellite Images - The GPS data that is collected from a vehicle’s data recorder can be automatically placed on the georeferenced satellite image of a crash site. This is a good way to show the position of a vehicle just before a crash.
Image Editing Tools - Clean, Crop, Drape -With these new tools make it easier to incorporate of satellite images and digital photographs into your diagrams. Now you can crop images and clean them of unwanted vehicles or other objects by simply copying a pattern. You can also drape a satellite image over 3D points to create realistic terrain.

Show Terrain by Draping a Satellite Image Onto 3D Points - Easily find an aerial photograph of a site and mold the image to 3D point data, such as the points captured with a laser scanner or total station. This realistic image of the terrain is an ideal backdrop for courtroom presentations and animations. Just snap to points or draw contour lines to match the image to the terrain.
More Control Over Lighting Parameters - User controlled lighting parameters include intensity, vehicle shine, specularity, ambience, glass transparency, and light source position.
With the new Reflective World parameter, you can even select the type of sky, such as blue sky with clouds, grey sky, night, or sunset.

Show Bullet Trajectories as Cones - Improve 3D bullet trajectory analysis by using cones to show a reasonable level of uncertainty instead of a line.
European Custom Line Types - European users can now create drawings of streets and intersections with accurately-sized, center lines in Metric units.
