Cowichan citizens can sign up to observe a Chief & Council meeting via Zoom by emailing:

CAIR@cowichantribes.com no later than end of day on the Wednesday before the meeting.

We are seeking dedicated and visionary leaders to guide our for-profit businesses and expand our economic development horizons.

Cowichan Tribes is in the final stages of re-organizing its legal business structure and is recruiting board directors for Quw’utsun Holdings General Partnership Ltd. (QHGP)the Master General Partner of its for-profit businesses, including: Khowutzun Gaming Corporation, Khowutzun Development Corporation, Khowutzun Forest Services, Quw’utsun Kwa’atl’kwa  Mustimuhw Information Solutions, and Cowichan Mini-Mall.

The QHGP Board of Directors will provide expert financial oversight and business strategy in alignment with Cowichan Tribes' vision, mission, and the values embedded in our snuy’uy’ulh (cultural teachings).

Emergency Services Contest - Show us your Grab & Go Bags!

Cowichan Tribes Emergency Services team encourages everyone to have Grab & Go Bags for all members of your household!

If you show us your Grab & Go Bag by posting it to the Emergency Services Facebook Page, you can win a fully stocked 72-hour kit and a $100 gift card for Canadian Tire! You can also enter by emailing a photo of your bag to emergency@cowichantribes.com. Cowichan citizens aged 16+ are eligible to enter.

Kids can win a Squishmallow or Lego set by completing our contest sheet where they can match the items that belong in a Grab & Go Bag.

To enter, scan or take a picture of the contest sheet and send to emergency@cowichantribes.com. Kids contest sheets can also be dropped off at the Emergency Services offices located at 6060 Canada Ave between 8:30am-4:30pm (closed from 12:00pm-1:00pm).

Addiction & Toxic Drugs

Chief and Council have designated an Opioid Crisis Response Working Group to lead our Nation’s ongoing response to the opioid overdose epidemic.
Please visit the Addictions & Toxic Drugs Supports & Resources page for info on overdose prevention and where to get help.
Private, at-home Narcan (naloxone) training is now available to all members. Please call the Outreach Team to book a confidential, free training visit at your home: (250) 732-4326 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm).
We ask ALL members to have Narcan in your household and know how to use it. Narcan is a safe, life-saving drug that can reverse an overdose.
You can also drop by Ts'ewulhtun Health Centre to pick up Narcan and book a private training session. Narcan is also free at pharmacies with your status card.
