Depending on the version of WordPress, you may see the Classic Editor, which is being deprecated. So, for the sake of this tutorial, we will focus on the Gutenberg Editor. It is also important to note that your view may look different from this view. There are different settings inside the WordPress editor. To view them, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the Gutenberg Editor. Choose the view that you&#8217;re most comfortable working with. This post title should not be the entirety of your message. It should be short, sweet, and to the point. To begin this process you will need to choose blocks. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/article\/blocks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many blocks<\/a> you can choose in the Gutenber Editor, but the most common are probably Header, Paragraph, Image, Button, and Document for a municipality. To choose the block you would like to use you can <strong>click the plus<\/strong> in the content area or at the top of the screen. To <strong>add a link<\/strong> to text, highlight the text you wish to become a link. You will paste the URL to which you wish to link in the box and set the settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If it&#8217;s a link on your site, we recommend opening in the same tab. The only difference is  you choose the <strong>Button block<\/strong>. Add your text to your button. Make sure you select the appropriate category so that the post appears on the page you think it should appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Categories are set by the user. You will need to click on the box that says <strong>Set Featured Image<\/strong>. This will open your media library. Finally, click <strong>Set Featured Image<\/strong>. You&#8217;ll know it&#8217;s set because what once was a gray box in the sidebar will be your image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ff6a008a\">NOTE: You cannot use a PDF as a featured image. They must be a .jpg or .png file to work for the featured image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Publishing Your Post<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once everything is set to your liking, click <strong>Publish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish-1024x342.jpg\" alt=\"-\" class=\"wp-image-15572\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish-1024x342.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish-768x256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish-1536x513.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/coursevector.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/publish.jpg 1683w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a few other options that you have besides Publish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Save Draft<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 Used to save the post as a draft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Preview<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 You can preview your post before publishing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Move to Trash<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 Deletes the post.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Status<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 Change the status of your post to&nbsp;<em>Published, Pending,<\/em>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<em>Reviewer Draft<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Visibility<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 Change the visibility of the post to&nbsp;<em>Public, Private<\/em>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<em>Password protected<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Published<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2212 Change the published post date and time.
