I have triumphed successfully~!

For the past few days, since Monday, I've been engaged in a vicious battle to save my room from the terrors of the reigning dust dragons. A vicious battles that it was! I was tasked with the chore of slaying all dust dragons that were rampaging violently in my room, where they brought utmost chaos to the citizens who dwell in my room...

It was a difficult fight! It took me three long arduous days to emerge victoriously, for when I had slain one, another would quickly take its place. But emerge victoriously that I did!

My trusty steed of a vacuum cleaner remained loyal and fought the foes head on, even when it seemed to be an impossible task. Even when faced with the evil dust bunnies morphing into the ferocious dust dragons, my vacuum cleaner did not stagger in fear.

Unperturbed were both I and my vacuum cleaner, and we ventured forth on our heroic journey to do the impossible. When we were done, covered in dust from the remains of the bunnies and dragons, we were welcomed with songs by the villagers, grateful to be rid of them.

Caution them that I did, for their period of song and peace would not last, for more were likely to come again and return. For the next time, this perilous journey may take longer than three days time.

Montréal Comiccon 2013

COMICCON. WAS. AWESOME!

I got a lot of autographs this year (for both dad and me), so instead of scanning them like I did last year, I just took a photograph of them on my bed which makes it infinitely easier for me

Unlike last year, I had no hesitation in attending Comiccon this year. A lot of the people who I worked with were either members from the anime convention, Otakuthon, or they were people with whom I worked together with last year

I got to hug a bunch of the celebrities and even took a lot of photos with them. In each and every single one of those photos, I'm a total short Asian, so they hugged me and crouched a bit to accommodate me in the photos

My loot of autographs that I got this year:

I couldn't choose between which of the two Sith's 8x10 photos I liked more for Ray Park, so he signed both of them for me

There was another photo of Sean Astin's that I had wanted, but by the time I asked for his autograph, he only had the close up of his character from Lord of the Rings. Manu Bennet was Azog in The Hobbit and he also played in Spartacus, so I got both of them since I couldn't choose which one I wanted

These are definitely my favorite and most cherished autographs that I got this year. I was lucky enough to be able to work with Tahmoh Penikett and Jason Momoa. I had so much difficulty restraining myself from squeeing and fangirling over Jason and was pretty much grinning like a mad insane fangirl when I was with him, but he didn't mind at all

Sadly, by the time I was able to get to George Takei's booth, he no longer had any more of his photos available to sign. I was totally devastated, but he kindly offered to sign my Comiccon badge for me. I got to admit, George has the prettiest handwriting I've ever seen before

Dad's loot of autographs that I got for him this year:

Dad was really happy that I got the full body photo for Ray Park, since he didn't want the close-ups that I got. His reasoning was because he wanted the lightsaber in his autograph~

Dad was really excited that I got Manu Bennet's signature from Arrow and was totally ecstatic about Gillian Anderson's signature from X-Files. He wasn't as excited for Jason's autograph as Drogo, which I totally understand, but the way I see it, I now have two different autographs from Jason as Khal Drogo

I'm not going to post the photos I took with the celebrities at the convention because there are way too many of them

Nintendo Cross Canada Tour [2013.07.28]

We went to the Nintendo Cross Canada Tour today which was at Marché Central at Future Shop

We did get to play on the NIntendo Wii U system and played Nintendoland~

At the end, we took a bunch of photos and even got dad to dress up. I got my starter Oshawott, Daniel got his starter Tepig, Ethan was saddened they didn't have Snivy, and Eric was happy with Pikachu

In that last photo, Daniel and I had to stand on a stepladder because we managed to convince dad to come in the shot, but Daniel and I were about to fall off right before the photo was taken

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR~!

My younger brother was discharged on Friday, February 8th from the hospital and he's perfectly happy and fine now :3

I just wanted to thank all those who sent me PMs, left me comments, and those who provided me emotional support during this scary time for everyone in my family.

The doctors will need to make another check-up appointment for him to see if they were able to fix everything, but in the meantime, we're happy to have him back with us <3

Daniel was rushed to the hospital again

I don't think I've ever been more scared in my life than I have been now.

At 12:41AM today (Sunday, February 3rd), my younger brother Daniel screamed out in pain saying that he got a large jolt from his implanted defibrillator. I stayed with him thinking it was fine since the idea of the defibrillator is to shock his heart if there is any heart irregularities.

I thought he was in the clear after he calmed down a bit but he got a major jolt to the point where he body arched out of my arms. You know when you watch medical drama shows and they use a defibrillator to jolt the heart back to normal? Now imagine that but he's entirely conscious and aware of it and screaming in pain.

I realized that something was wrong and mom went to quickly wake up dad where both dad and I drove to the hospital as quick and as safely as we could. He got another strong jolt as dad was driving and I stayed with him.

When we got to admissions, there was another person ahead of us. But Daniel got another strong jolt and he was screaming in pain.

So he was rushed to the trauma unit, where nurses and doctors did everything they could to slow down his head. He had more episodes to the point where the nurses' hearts went out to him because of his terrified screams of pain. I lost count after 15 more of them and did the best I could to calm him and soothe him.

What made it worse was that Daniel knew when he was going to get shocked. So the anticipation made it a lot worse for him. I felt so helpless as I held his head in my arms and then felt the electric jolt course through his body.

He had to take an ambulance to go to the Heart Institute where they specialized in electro-cardiology. They were able to stabilize his heart there since his heart rate was registering 250 beats per minute. He's so very tired and weak from the ordeal of it all. My parents and I are relieved that he is, but we're worried that this might happen again. And we're at a loss, as are the doctors, to what caused his defibrillator to shock him not once, but more than 15 times within the course of 3 hours.

Dad and I are home now and Daniel's staying at the hospital, where he's stabilized and they're monitoring him. They're also trying to interpret the data from his defibrillator to see what caused it in the first place and why so many of them in such quick succession.

Streets near McGill University flooded AGAIN [2013.01.28]

I'm laughing so hard, in my few years of being a student at McGill University, there hasn't been just one flooding but TWO! That's right, you read it correctly, TWO!!

The last time there was a flooding was back in September 2011 [HERE] when one of the water main broke and this time it was another water main that broke that set it off.

Fortunately for me, I was at the McIntyre Medical building which is located at the summit of the mountain. Therefore I was perfectly safe and dry from the catastrophe that happened below where the McGill downtown campus was.

Although, I was wondering why the traffic was worse than usual and curious about all the police cars and fire trucks that were strewn about blocking road during RUSH HOUR. But I thought nothing of it as I ambled my way through all the slippery snow to get back home. Only realizing the cause when I got home to check the McGill website :3

I admit, I'm happy that I wasn't there at all. The snow in downtown is all yucky and dirty brown at the moment, so combine that with all the water and you get really YUCKY FILTHY water hurtling down towards the streets! As you can see in the photo above...

I, for one, am hoping that classes will be cancelled tomorrow since I only have the one class and it's at 8:30AM located in the Rutherford Physics building where it may have been affected by the flood~

HAPPY BELATED NEW YEARS~!!

Darling, chan4yasu sent me a really pretty agenda that she handmade for me personally as my birthday and Christmas present and I already love it so much! But then she also snuck in something extra which I was totally not expecting, which were the handmade keychain and phone strap

As I mentioned in the introduction post (HERE), I've decided to keep track of the correct answers for the characters from the otome game My Forged Wedding despite there already being a walkthrough for this game. However, none of them are as extensive as mine. This post will be the walkthrough solution for Yamato Kougami

Yamato is a science teacher at an all girls high school and needs your help to convince the Vice-Principal that he's married because there's a policy at the school to not hire single men. Yamato is open to teasing and loves to tease you throughout his route. His reasoning to this is that you're his toy and he only partakes in a teasing banter with you. Did I mention that he's adorably affectionate to the point where he will purposely make you a different styled breakfast apart from him because he cares for you?

As I mentioned in the introduction post (HERE), I've decided to keep track of the correct answers for the characters from the otome game My Forged Wedding despite there already being a walkthrough for this game. However, none of them are as extensive as mine. This post will be the walkthrough solution for Ren Shibasaki

Ren is a pharmaceutical researcher at his graduate school and is in the midst of discovering a new drug, He requests your help to pose as his fiancée because he needs to prolong going back by saying he as a fiancée in order to finish his drug. Ren is very quiet and won't say more than what's needed, but he's surprisingly affectionate towards you. He rarely shows his feelings, however, they are hidden behind his actions

As I mentioned in the introduction post (HERE), I've decided to keep track of the correct answers for the characters from the otome game My Forged Wedding despite there already being a walkthrough for this game. However, none of them are as extensive as mine. This post will be the walkthrough solution for Takao Maruyama

Takao's grandmother has been hospitalized for half a year, so he begs you to pretend to be his fiancée in front of her since that was her greatest wish. I felt SO guilty throughout his route, you basically pretend to be engaged to Takao and even carry through, in the end, with the marriage for the sake of his grandmother... Then at the end, she reveals she knew all along it was a lie~

His letters to you (which are sent to your e-mail address by the end of the chapter, if you’ve provided it) are as followed:

Depending on the answers you give to Takao, you'll get one of the endings aforementioned. If you chose all the correct answers, you'll get the Super Happy Ending. However, if you choose all the incorrect answers or a combination of both correct and incorrect answers, you’ll get the Happy Ending

In order to get the Super Happy Ending, you must select these answers (with some variation, but this is guaranteed):

Yuta is set to appear on a TV show that features his newlywed life where the handsome comedian has a scary wife. Chaos and a potential scandal ensues to the point where you feel it's your fault and decide to fill in the role of the scary wife. To be honest, the very first time I played Yuta's route, it didn't make any lasting impressions on me. Now that I've play his route again, I've realized that he once again didn't make any lasting impressions on me...
