Contract Rush DX is a run n' gun action game, with several completely unique playable characters, an in-depth story, and hand-drawn visuals inspired by flash cartoons/games of the 2000s.Follow Cynthia, a dedicated mercenary trained by the mysterious mob boss "Renzo", as she takes on 6 main contracts, wherever that road may lead her.Released July 30th 2025 on PC, with a brand new update launching June 8th 2026!

History

Initially beginning as a self-imposed 10 day gamejam, "Contract Rush" was released to Newgrounds in 2020, garnering a surprising amount of success and positive feedback.Shortly after, we began work on DX as a small, "we'll get it done in a year!" type project.As we worked on it... We saw potential in the project that we had to do justice. We continued expanding the world, adding depth to the twists and turns, and adding new content until we were happy with the full package, all the way into 2025.

Past Projects

Artist and musician Figburn previously worked on projects such as "Undertale Yellow" and "Friday Night Funkin", as well as a variety of webgames such as "Neon Rhythm" and "Figure Fumble".Many of them having been worked on concurrently with Contract Rush DX!-Programmer Melon previously completed many gamejams, including "Nest Quest" and "Jimmy Blitz and the Rocket Dice", both placing in their respective game jams!

  • 5 New challenge levels, each designed specifically for the 5 playable characters

  • 5 New character-specific drinks, each heavily changing the way you play that character!

  • New dialogue added for when characters meet themselves in NG+
