This week, we're continuing to highlight Bob Harvey's Project Twin Vee series. In this video, Bob teams up with Meridian Marina for a massive electronics and safety outfitting session on his brand-new 400 GFX2.
Giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the rigorous prep required for serious offshore action, Bob and the crew install a suite of heavy-hitting tech. Upgrades include a 25KW Garmin radar, a 1KW Airmar transducer for deep-dropping swordfish, Starlink for Gulf Stream live-streaming, and SiriusXM for continuous weather updates. They also secure a new ResQLink EPIRB for safety and peace of mind, while Bob adds a hands-on, cost-effective DIY touch by custom-fitting protective deck matting behind the helm to keep the amps and steering controllers organized.
With the electronics perfectly dialed in, the 400 GFX2 is ready, and Bob is officially prepping for his next big adventure: crossing over to the Bahamas! Thanks again, Bob, for taking us along on your journey and sharing your experiences on your YouTube channel @BobHarvey40.
