Dear friends,

Happy Easter! We continue to celebrate the joy of the Resurrection throughout this Octave of Easter, holding onto the hope and new life that Christ brings. At Old St. Mary’s, we seek to live this joy as a community of missionary disciples, sharing the good news of the Risen Christ in the ways we pray, serve, and accompany one another.

In that spirit, our Easter bulletin highlighted a number of invitations for parishioners to become more involved in the life of the parish. From liturgical ministries to advisory groups and faith formation, there are many ways to share your gifts and help build up our community. We hope you’ll take a moment to learn more in this week’s bulletin, and we warmly invite you to reach out if you feel called to get involved.

We also have a number of opportunities to gather as a community in the days ahead:

OSM School Trivia Night – Tomorrow Evening!

Join us at Weather Mark with our school community for a fun and lively Trivia Night. A suggested donation of $25 will support the Blue Ribbon Fund, helping provide teacher retention bonuses. It’s a great way to enjoy an evening together while supporting a meaningful cause.

Save the Date – Annual Paulist Appeal (April 18–19)

Our Annual Paulist Appeal will take place the weekend of April 18–19. Parishioner Cathy Walz will invite us to support this appeal, which aids the missionary work of the Paulist Fathers across the country, helping to build bridges of faith through evangelization, reconciliation, and outreach.

Save the Date – Spirit of Hecker Awards (April 25)

We will gather on Saturday, April 25 after the 5:00 PM Vigil Mass to celebrate the Spirit of Hecker Awards. This year, we are proud to honor Parishioner Beth Toth as Old St. Mary’s recipient, recognizing her generosity, faith, and commitment to our parish community. Congratulations, Beth! Please RSVP if you plan on attending.

Thank you for the many ways you continue to make Old St. Mary’s a place where the Risen Christ is known and encountered.

Your generosity, through financial donations, volunteering, or joining our outreach, supports our spiritual growth and helps those in need. You can give online as a one-time or recurring gift or visit our website for other options. Our TipTap Contactless Giving Kiosk in the commons also makes giving easy: just tap your credit card or phone to select a donation amount ($5, $10, or $20). Thank you for supporting OSM's mission!
