Hello Friends of Aging Together + Mishpachah,
Greetings! We’ve got some good summer watching, reading, listening and dance moves for you!
Start with CBST's Aging Together on Monday evening, July 14 at 7:30 pm (note changed time!) on Zoom for An Evening with the Lesbian Herstory Archives for an interactive and dynamic presentation about The Lesbian Herstory Archives (LHA) with Dr. Amy Beth. See more details below about this event marking LHA’s centennial!
Below, you’ll also find videos of Aging Together’s 5.12.25 presentation, "Mayim Chayim: Immersing in Renewing Waters" and 6.9.25 Jacqueline Jonèe: I Did it My Way – The Metamorphosis of a Queen of Drag as well as the full “Mishpachah Mondays” lineup.
Read to the end of this email to hear a singer who began her career in a gay bar in 1960! She sounds beautiful in her latest album, recorded at the age of 83 (hint: she’s still a Funny Girl!) Add some music from CBST’s Spotify Pride and Beyond playlist and your ears will be set for the summer!
Join Aging Together and Mishpachah in July, August, and beyond for learning, connection, and fun. We age better – together!

Beginning Again (and Again): The Spiritual Journey of Growing Older
With Rabbi Dayle Friedman, spiritual guide, social innovator, chaplain, scholar, and pioneer in the development of a Jewish spiritual vision for aging.
Monday, September 15 | 7:00-8:30pm ET | Zoom
How can we grow deeper and wiser as we age? Kabbalah, the Jewish mystical tradition, points the way for us by helping us to understand that all of life is a succession of shattering and renewal. This framing offers us a way of holding the challenges of aging, as well as the new beginnings and possibilities we can find amid them. We will apply the concept of shattering and repair to our journeys in aging and will offer spiritual tools to help us foster our resilience along the way.
Upcoming Aging Together gatherings
Mondays, 7:00–8:30pm ET | Zoom. See the weekly CBST e-News for details.
