TRAA's Legislative Action Workshop & Hill Day
Wow, to say that TRAA's third annual Legislative Action Workshop & Hill Day was a success would be an understatement! Even though we were virtual this year, we still met with 40+ members of Congress and their staffers, a House committee, and a Senate Committee to address four key issues impacting the industry including:

  • Supporting federal Move Over Law provisions
  • Combating insurance increases
  • Supporting the DRIVE Safe Act
  • Supporting amendments TRAA has drafted to weights and measures regulations (23 U.S.C. 127)

Additionally, we also heard from 7 influential members of Congress including Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Congressman James McGovern (D-MA-2), Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX-32), Congressman Mike Gallagher (R-WI-8), Congressman Chris Pappas (D-NH-1), Congressman Jared Golden (D-ME-2), and Congressman Rodney Davis (R-IL-13).

As a direct result of those meeting last week, we're already hearing from congressional offices who are interesting in co-sponsoring key legislation that will impact the entire towing industry!

Plus, after a year apart is was wonderful to be able to see and interact with our valued members again.
