Brooklyn takes pride in having a diverse slate of newly elected people that will represent a cross-section of Brooklyn, made up of different protected classes whether it is race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, or religion. We have new leaders who are black, white and Latinx, gay and straight, immigrant and native.
I also want to express my respect for the departing incumbents’ service to Brooklyn and beyond. Now as we prepare to fight for Democratic wins in November – strengthening our majorities in Albany, returning
Max Rose
to
Congress
, working with Democrats across the country to elect a Democratic U.S. Senate and electing
Joe Biden
to the
White House
, we know we are stronger when we stand together.
