She is wearing a white dress with black flowers and holding a violin and bow. On the right is an image of Kevin, a white man with brown hair and glasses. He is wearing a dark shirt. There is a cartoon grasshopper wearing a brown hat perched on his shoulder. In the background is a drawing of a forest with trees and sunlight shining through. My Memoir Has A Publisher!

Linger in the Sun | Algonquin Press | '25

I've been so busy with "Invisible Fences" that I never announced this... My book found a publishing home! My memoir, LINGER IN THE SUN, is a love-letter to every body; a warm, funny, and deeply-felt memoir about disability, music, and embracing the messy creativity of an artist's life. It will come out on Algonquin Press in 2025. I am so excited!!!

This summer I've got a bunch of children's shows lined up through Lake Agassiz Regional Library. The first batch already happened at Moorhead Library Concert, and it was featured on WDAY News. I'll be in NW Minnesota at the end of July... Playing for kids is so much fun!

We're coming up on the second week of rehearsals (out of two!) for Invisible Fences with Kevin Kling. The first week was blocking, and now we're getting our lines nailed down over the weekend. Costumes, lights, sound, projections, animation, ASL, and captioning all come next week... I can't wait for you to see it! It's a fun, music-filled adventure.

July is Disability Pride Month! In order to commemorate the late Judy Heumann, who was one of the great leaders of the Disability Rights Movement, Lachi (Founder of RAMPD) and James Ian are releasing "Lift Me Up" on July 25th.
