A short time ago, US District Judge Mary S. McElroy, the presiding Judge for the case involving the 2 lawsuits filed against HUD and the FY 2025 CoC NOFO, issued her written order.

The order requires:

  • HUD to reinstate the FY 2024 and FY 2025 Continuum of Care Competition and Renewal or Replacement of Youth Homeless Demonstration Program (“FY24-25 NOFO”),

  • To set forth any steps necessary to process eligible renewals for FY 2025 CoC funding under the FY2024-2025 NOFO, and

  • Within 14 days, inform recipients of any steps they must take for eligible renewals to be processed, up to but not including the obligation of funding.

This is great news for our community and the people that rely on permanent housing projects to end their homelessness.
