Subject: ARREST UPDATE - Roebling Suspension Bridge Threats

Location: Covington, KY

COVINGTON, KY- Following a joint investigation with FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) partners, Covington Police Department and the Boone County Sheriff's Department, an arrest has been made in connection with the four bomb threats made against the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. A 14 year-old juvenile has been charged in Kenton County with four counts of Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree. On Friday, September 22nd, this juvenile was taken into custody in Michigan on an unrelated matter. Because the suspect is a juvenile, we are not able to release any additional identifying information.

We would like to specifically thank the FBI Louisville/Covington Resident Agency for their hard work and tenacity in bringing the person responsible to justice. The partnership we share with this organization continues to prove itself an asset to the city and the region. Thank you for everyone's patience as we worked to ensure the public’s safety following each threat.

Respectfully,

Lieutenant Justin Bradbury
