Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery competition begun in 1982 is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional Districts.
Arts Orange County is proud to assist the 39th, 45th, 46th, 48th and 49th Congressional Districts in our community in their competitions.
The competition is open to students in each District. The winning artwork of each district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country, and will also be featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page. |
