FAQ

Is Console custodial?

No. Console is self‑custodial. Your private key stays on your device, protected by passkeys/secure enclave. We cannot access or move your funds.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. The wallet is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play.

Is the app reviewed?

Yes. Console is open-source, and every release undergoes strict security reviews by the Chrome Web Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play.

Can you see my key?

No. Keys never leave your device. You can export and back up the key whenever you want.

Why the registration limit?

We’re currently capped at ~100 registrations per day by the protocol. Pre‑register at pre.consolewallet.io and we’ll approve as soon as your turn comes.

What permissions does the extension use?

Only what is strictly needed to connect to your chosen dApps, scan QR codes, sign transactions, and store preferences locally.

Is the auto-approve feature secure?

Yes. Auto-approve applies exclusively to officially supported Canton network tokens. All unknown assets and EVM transactions will always require your manual signature.

How do I access EVM networks if I only have a Canton address?

We are progressively rolling out EVM support, starting with Ethereum and now Base. Existing users can securely generate new EVM addresses directly in the app to unlock swap and cross-chain bridge features.

Why are some tokens not showing up?

Console auto-detects all active balances specifically on the Canton network. For Ethereum and Base, you can easily track unlisted assets using the manual import tool.

How does the cross-chain bridge work?

Currently, bridging assets between supported networks is routed securely via USDCx. Support for additional native assets will be integrated soon.
