Briefing; Officer Killy observes the new recruits upon his return
He had come into the base after being away to deal with business at the capital, his reports had told him a new group of recruits had arrived, and he was interested to see the capabilities of them. The native soldiers of this world were not very promising, but he was hoping another group who had come from alternate universes like himself might show some promise. Things were not as cruel over here, and people were much softer than he was used to seeing. He did not mind that, preferred it actually, but he did not want anyone who had come from a soft way of living to come over, after all this was war.
This was war... and it was mission to end it. Therefore, that would be all to matter to him. After entering the base he had made his way to the cabins, leaning against one, he expected most of the soldiers to be asleep by now, but a few were always known to show up late from training now and again. That and sneak between the cabins to talk in person.
So, he waited, watching with his eyes that missed nothing. His sudden appearance in the camp would be one easy to noticed, dressed so dark as he was, his pale face might seem to glow in the setting sun, and he had clearly not been there to welcome them as they had arrived. Not that he felt a need to welcome them. It was simply his duty to keep them out of trouble.
