[open; finished] Just wanna get right out of here
Characters; Riku; open to anyone wandering around Verity.
Setting/Location; Just north of the haunted block, up a tree (???)
Date & Time; Day one, during first and second lunch.
Warnings; Riku doesn't swear! He might attack if you try to stop him from leaving, though. =(
Briefing; Formulating escape plans is easy. Choosing the one that will work is impossible.
Somehow, he knew that he didn't have his portals anymore. Even before this whole mess, even before he noticed that pretty much all of his potions had gone missing, back at the castle under an nonexistent night, he noticed that the darkness was slipping. It was like once he shed off his shell of borrowed darkness, he could suddenly stand straighter again, see without the shadows blurring in his view. It was nice (he had almost forgotten what it was like to see things under the light) but that meant he had no easy way off of this planet, which was almost not worth the trade. He could find another way off-planet (he'd have to, he'd find a way), but it wasn't going to be as easy as raising a hand and thinking big dark hole thoughts. Riku snorted. No one said that any of this would be easy.
He had opted to skip out on training to observe the compound and its guards, but he wasn't above going to the cafeteria to swipe a meal off of his generous hosts. Chewing on a sandwich, he stalked the northern roads out of the compound, checking the security posts (several) and measuring up their surveillance patterns and mobility (unfortunately, he couldn't actually gauge their firepower until the point was moot, but he could try). He had a crash course in all of this stuff while following the Organization around, and he figured that this was a good way to apply it as any.
He planned. He'd have to leave tonight, if not now. And if someone got in his way... He picked a safe spot in the lower boughs of a tree, keeping carefully out of view while he finished the rest of his sandwich. He'd think about what he'd do about resistance when the time came.
