You can find the steps in their support article at <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accessibility\/android\/answer\/9078941?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this link<\/a>. They also have an article that goes through each setting at <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accessibility\/android\/answer\/16323943?hl=en&amp;sjid=5779738881416734788-NA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article will go through and highlight some of the settings you may find useful \u2013 citing the Android documentation steps to help you along your way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are looking for help with Screen Reader usage please check out the article we have that reviews <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.goodmaps.com\/docs\/screen-readers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Screen Readers<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Font Size <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To make your font size smaller or larger:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On your device, open the <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search and select&nbsp;<strong>Font size<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To change your preferred font size, move the slider left or right.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turn on dark theme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your device\u2019s <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Accessibility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under \u201c<strong>Color and motion<\/strong>,\u201d turn on\u00a0<strong>Dark theme<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turn on color inversion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your device\u2019s <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Accessibility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under \u201c<strong>Color and motion<\/strong>,\u201d select\u00a0<strong>Color inversion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on&nbsp;<strong>Use color inversion<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Color Correction\/Grayscale<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Color correction and grayscale settings help your device compensate for color blindness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your device\u2019s <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Accessibility<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0<strong>Color and motion\u00a0<\/strong>> <strong>Color correction<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn&nbsp;<strong>Use color correction<\/strong>&nbsp;on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose a correction mode.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Optional: To control the intensity of the color correction, adjust the slider. (This feature isn&#8217;t available on all devices.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to change your device language: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On your device, open the <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>General Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap<strong> Language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>Edit<\/strong> in the upper right corner. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drag and drop the language to the top of the list. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Note: If the app doesn\u2019t support the language you\u2019ve selected, it will check the next language on your list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then click the back button in the upper left corner to save your changes <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to add languages to your device <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On your device, open the <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap <strong>General Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap<strong> Language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to the bottom and tap on <strong>+ Add Language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can then scroll or search for the language you want to add. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After you tap on the language you may be asked to define by region <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then it will ask if you want to<strong> Keep current<\/strong> or <strong>Set as default. <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you tap <strong>Keep Current<\/strong> \u2013 your current language settings will stay in place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you tap <strong>Set as default<\/strong> \u2013 it will change to the new language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Text to Speech (TalkBack) Languages <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently Android supports the following languages in TalkBack \u2013 check the<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/accessibility\/android\/answer\/11101402?hl=en-GB&amp;sjid=16772511968935795550-NA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> list here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your device\u2019s <strong>Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Accessibility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on <strong>TalkBack<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And then tap on<strong> Text-to-speech<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on <strong>Language<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then you can select from the list of languages. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article reviews the accessibility settings available for Android devices.
