About Us

Hi! We're South Philly Action Coalition (SPAC), a mutual aid and action group built by South Philly neighbors to take care of each other when systems don’t. From crisis response to everyday solidarity, we're organizing to meet needs, share resources, and build lasting community power. Our work is rooted in commitment, not charity.

We launched in early 2025 and have supported our neighbors through food and supply drives, fundraising for communities in need, collaborating with and uplifting our neighboring local organizations, and our unique South Philly Community Market (formerly known as our Mutual Aid Market). 

We have one general meeting and one steering committee meeting per month to discuss who we’re looking to be in community with and plan upcoming efforts to achieve our goals. Join us to build neighborhood power and relationships beyond our everyday systems!

Why Support Us?

As a SPAC supporter, you'll help fund our ability to build community. We use our supporters' donations to purchase supplies for things like:

  • Creating banners, flyers, and other promotional materials 
  • Tabling at events
  • Community-building trainings

Contributing to us means directly contributing to your neighbors. You'll help us:

  • Get the word out about all of our events
  • Empower the community we're building all around us
  • Drive donations to movement-building organizations
