Sound card driver problem
Question/Problem: About a week ago my RealTek sound card stopped working, apparently there was a problem with the driver. I deinstalled the sound card and tried to reinstall the drivers. Everything seems to work properly until when the process bar has reach the end, Windows notifies me of a CRC error.
Operating System and VERSION: Windows XP
Web Browser and VERSION: FireFox 3.0.1
Your level of experience: Beginner - Intermediate.
Duration of problem: About a week
Any steps you've taken to troubleshoot? I tried to reinstall the driver from various sources (online and the original CD-rom that came with the notebook). I also tried a system restore, to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated. :)
