Sending e-mail problems
Question/Problem: Unable to send e-mails through external e-mail program, but can send through webmail.
I'm visiting my parents in Indiana (I live in Kansas). I have Cox cable internet at home, and my parents have ATT DSL.
Operating System and VERSION: Vista SP1
Web Browser and VERSION: Firefox 2.0.0.14 (and if it makes a difference for e-mail: IncrediMail Build ID: 5703610)
Your level of experience: Intermediate (sort-of, but nowhere near beginner ;))
Duration of problem: Since I arrived at my parents (May 19)
Any steps you've taken to troubleshoot? I've changed SMTP servers to Googles, to my own domains, back to Cox. I can't use ATT's servers because they're require secure authentication, which requires me to use one of my family's e-mail logins, and I'd prefer not to use them.
