A security code? Want to give yourself an inspirational message? Complicate It. Complicate It allows you to (very) quickly set your Apple Watch's complication to anything you can say or type. You can use your iPhone or the Apple Watch app to enter text. If you're worried about putting secure information on your clock face, fear not. When you lock your watch, the app hides whatever you've set as your current complication. This is to allow you to feel secure in whatever you choose to set as your complication. Nobody will see it but you. Warning: THIS APP IS USELESS WITHOUT AN APPLE WATCH. Unless you like typing text and watching it disappear. If this description fits you, feel free to download.

This has been a passion project of mine for the past several years, and I am thrilled to make it available to everyone for free! Add basic phrases, random catchphrases, timers, countdowns, and more! Scheduling complications is now possible - set recurring items for your watch to cycle through. Add your own photos to your watch face, or choose from a selection of color or mono-tone images. All features are now directly available from the Apple Watch app! That's right, you no longer have to use the iPhone app to create Scheduled Complications, Random Complications, Countdown Complications, or Badge Complications! You can do it all from your wrist. In addition: - Fixed a bug that would cause the app to get stuck and completely stop working. - Scheduled complications will now only appear when they are told to. What's new: - New Badge icons have been added. - Random Complications will now automatically change every day. - Complication updates are now more reliable. You don't need to open the watch app at all to have them updated. What's coming: - I am aware of the bug that sometimes requires you to send complications twice before being updated on the watch. Rest assured that I am working hard to track down the cause of the bug and it will be fixed soon. In the meantime, please just try again when your complication is not instantly updated. NOTE - Sending several complications from the iPhone to the Apple Watch in a day causes your Apple Watch's battery to significantly drain. Complications in excess of 50 a day will not be sent to the watch. This has always been the case, but there is now a pop-up dialogue to inform you of when this happens. I have also hidden the text "Complicate It" from the Basic and Random complications to provide a cleaner experience. Thanks for downloading! 3.01 07/07/2018 Rebuilt from the ground up! Some nice improvements were built in along the way: - You no longer have to open the Apple Watch app every time you send a complication from the iPhone app! - The Badge complication now works a little bit differently. You can now select from a variety of icons to send to your watch. (Instead of the headache that was searching the internet for transparent icons and cropping them to fit, etc...) - Random complications are now saved in the phone app! So you can add to and delete random phrases instead of having to type everything in every time you want to change your phrases. DISCLAIMER: I have removed the feature that allowed you to select a free complication in exchange for leaving an app review. If you left a review, you will still have access to your free complication UNLESS YOU DELETE THE APP. Thanks again for downloading, and please leave a review! 2.0 06/04/2016 Hey guys, I've done a lot of maintenance on the app. This update doesn't have any new features, but it focuses on performance. Unfortunately, I've had to change the way that Random Complications work. Apple Watch is still pretty new, and I was apparently pushing the limits of what it can do. Initially, the idea was to have a group of phrases that your watch could cycle through on its own once every hour or so. It worked fine in development mode, but as soon as it went live, it stopped working and it caused a lot of problems in the other areas of the app. So I've now made it so that you can create a set of phrases, and manually set one (still randomly) as your complication. Now you can go into the app either on your phone or your watch, and select either "Send to Watch" or "Random" and one of your phrases will be randomly selected to be used as your complication. I think it's a bit more fun this way! Here are some of the improvements that I've made: - Modified Random Complications to improve app performance. - Fixed a bug that prevented complications from being reliably set. - Removed the prompt that asked you to leave a review. :) Thanks, as always, for downloading the app. I read all of your emails and reviews, and I love to get feedback. It chooses a new phrase about once an hour. The phrases are saved to your watch, too, meaning that there is a new button which will allow you to instantly set a new random phrase from the watch app. Random Complications is available for $0.99. 1.30 02/10/2016 A new complication is available for purchase! Countdown! Countdown - Now you can set a time up to seven days in the future. The complication will be a countdown towards that time. Scheduled Complications - Allows you to create multiple complications and choose when you'd like them to appear on your watch. More coming soon! Other improvements: - I removed "Complicate It" from the top line on the Modular Large watch face. - I fixed a bug that made it appear so that you could purchase an in-app-purchase twice. - I got married! 1.20 01/07/2016 Scheduled Complications! - You can now create multiple complications and choose when you'd like them to appear on your watch. - Time Travel support.
