Regulatory & Quality Framework
- FDA-registered facilities operating under 21 CFR Part 507 (CGMP & Preventive Controls for Animal Food) with PCQI oversight.
- cGMP quality system with HACCP/Preventive Controls, supplier verification, change control, CAPA, internal audits, and NASC-aligned documentation (batch records, ingredient verification, label substantiation support, complaint/AER tracking).
- USDA APHIS export certification (China & EU) — Burlington, VT only — to support compliant export programs for eligible customers/products.
- Export documentation support tied to destination requirements.
- Warehouse QA (VT): temperature/cleanliness standards, pest control, FEFO rotation, full lot-level traceability.
Process Controls & Testing
- Incoming: risk-based ID testing, micro/heavy metals as applicable, allergen control, quarantine, barcode/lot tracking.
- In-process (chews): blend/mix uniformity, controlled hydration profiles, texture/aw targets, in-process net-weight compliance, metal detection.
- In-process (powders): blending validation, sieve/magnet controls, particle size/bulk density management, uniformity sampling plans.
- In-process (liquids/topicals): pH/viscosity windows, fill-weight control, closure/torque verification.
- Release: finished-product micro, potency/assay when specified, organoleptics, COA issuance, retains and stability per protocol.
