Agreed that there is an issue with the hypervisor that's triggering this error, but the error is caused by something in the VM executing an instruction that the hypervisor isn't handling. Given that this issue is not widely seen, we might be able to help ...

I've got the same error. but i have no Virus installed. The vmware.log speaks for itself: an "Unable to decode instruction" error is a hypervisor-level failure, which clearly rules out any software inside the VM - this is a VMware Fusion issue that Broadcom ...

Thanks Paul. That pretty much confirms my suspicion. It's the MAC address change triggering things in my case. I can cause the prompt to appear just by cycling the MAC address on my home network. I normally have two connections to it, one wired and one ...
