CHAPTER 10
A Surprise At The End

(Ari and A stare at Lisa)
Ari: WHAT?!? I thought you wanted to be one of us! Why did you suddenly change you mind?!?
Lisa (crossed arms): Because I did. And it's going to stay that way.
A: But you said-
Lisa: I KNOW WHAT I SAID! But I... it's just wrong. I can't.
(Ari puts her hands on her hips.)
Ari: I can't believe you're choosing this. Now you're betraying US now!
(Lisa gets so angry her eyes go hollow.)
Lisa: WELL WHY DO WE HAVE TO KILL ALL THESE INNOCENT WORKER DRONES?!?
Ari: BECAUSE IT'S OUR JOB!!!
(Lisa stopped, and sighed. So did Ari, but she was still mad.)
Ari: I'll spear you your life for now. But your gonna regret it later.
(The two didn’t talk to each other when they went east, even though A was trying to convince them to forgive each other. They went over buildings and trees, but nothing hinted they would stop going east, until they found a tall building. A flew down it.)
Ari: Hey A, where are you going?
A: I'm going to see if there's anything down there.
(Ari and Lisa follow.)
Lisa: The other thing the news said, is that there was thudding behind the walls. (laughs) I think it was just the blizzard banging on the bunk. The wind probably was pushing the snowflakes against the wall.
A: But snowflakes don't make noise.
Ari: Well, then they were very hard snowflakes.
Lisa: Well I guess that is valid.
(She made a bit of eye contact with Ari, and smiled a bit.)
Ari: Hey. It’s not our fault that the company sent us here to get you guys.
Lisa (smiling): I know.
(A was hoping they would say they were sorry, or hug, but they didn’t. The building was dark and cold, but there was no bodies. Just a few limbs here and there. A thought it wasn’t that bad. But she had a feeling that someone was watching them.)
A: Let's get out of here. This place is really creepy.
(Ari, Lisa, and A flew out of the building.)
