This software uses invasive techniques to stay running/get your attention. It runs at start-up, and keeps an icon hidden away in your notification bar. If you remove this software from your start-up applications in msconfig, it will automatically set itself to open on start-up the next time you run it. Also it will create an application icon on your desktop which cannot be removed, once deleted the icon will automatically reappear within an hour or so. In my opinion don't install anything from Comcast, if you check Comcast's forums, even their reps agree not to install.
