Each season, we run writing intensives that are offered virtually. See below for this year’s offerings.

Three-week Writing Intensive (Winter 2024)

Are you tired of writing groups that are full of white people and writers centering white characters? Have you often been the only queer person in creative writing spaces? We have created this writing intensive for you. In this four-week long writing program, we will center Black, Brown, queer, trans, disabled, and non-normative writers as we work to complete our writing projects. Participants will have opportunities to develop daily writing practices, accountability partnerships, and long-term plans for their writing.

Fee: $20 per week/$50 for 3 weeks (in November and December)

Time: 3 weeks (4 hours per class meeting)

Enrollment (max): 15

While you do not have to be queer to participate in the spaces, you do have to be Black and you must be committed to centering and honoring the lives and experiences of all queer and trans people.
