no, they were fun for a while, but do anything creatively for a long time and you'll start to feel that it's stale. also, the jibjab videos MASSIVELY outperform my actual music (the songs that i put effort into and am way more proud of), which just makes me disappointed (even if it is to be expected). if you look at my views for the last 2 days before i wrote this, you'll see that my jibjab stuff did 4,710 views over my original song's 38.

do you have materials for people learning to make music with midi files? - NOT REAL
i'm sorry but i dont! but i have some tips:
1. midi files are limited to 16 channels, and channel 10 is always drums. 2. midis can't do portamento or pitch bending very easy (im not sure if fl studio translates it over but i bet it wouldnt) 3. you can switch out a midi instrument mid-song to have kind of more than 16 instruments!

i'm pretty sure (i dont remember..) this specific page of the website was created in a few days because it's all wysiwyg point and click stuff. every other page on the website was created at a specific point in time, and just kind of left there (for example, the flash page was spring 2025, but the links page was i think 2024, etc etc) and maybe one day i'll update every page to be nice but i do kind of like the feeling of every page being different.

so i played Hypnospace and i was like "this is great. i'd love to use a WSYIWYG editor where i can put stuff places." anyways because of that i use Expression Web 4 where every single element has a "position: absolute" so you can move it wherever you want. also, some images are actually divs with images in them, or as their background, because images dont play nice with z indexing

transmission is another song about Rose, and i think it's supposed to be (in the little saga) right before THE VOICES. specifically it's talking about the person who's trying to find what happened to Rose - the person that wrote the song "Rose". this person kind of went crazy trying to find what happened to her, trying to read her diary ("pages and pages of meaningless signs"), so i guess now they're in purgatory.

the Rose saga is currently 3 songs long: Rose, TRANSMISSION, and THE VOICES. "Rose" is about someone trying to find out what happened to a girl they saw. she "disappeared" and they found her diary after, but they were unable to decipher any of the pages. TRANSMISSION is about them going crazy, i guess, and THE VOICES is long after they went crazy, about Rose. the description of TRICKLESS TREATS ("as halloween comes to an end, the sun sets for everyone but her, as she is cursed to an afterlife of wandering. she left behind one item, however: a diary, unreadable to most, except for... them?") is also a direct reference to Rose. i'm guessing there will be one or two more songs until we're done?
