Introducing the CoEvolution Consortium: ISI

The Industrial Systems Institute (I.S.I.) is a public research institute founded in Patras, Western Greece on 1998. Since 2003, I.S.I. is part of the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication, and Knowledge Technologies “Athena” (RC Athena), operating under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Innovation(G.S.R.I) of the Greek Ministry of Economic Growth. Its scope includes the active participation and substantial contribution to high-technology sectors, which relate to integrated industrial systems, with the objective of increasing the competitiveness of the Greek industry, through application of state-of-the-art technologies. Among the general aims of ISI are implementation of applied and technological research, development of methodologies, products and services, relevant to scientific and technological sectors of particular interest, such as Security/Cybresecurity for information and communication systems as well as industrial systems, modelling and automation of industrial systems, contemporary methods and production technologies, management / design of production systems, electronic systems, intelligent microsystems, machine vision, and information technology for production processes.

Role in the project:

ISI is the Scientific and Technology Manager of the CoEvolution project. Furthermore, ISI is leading Tasks that are relevant to the overall CoEvolution architecture, defining the AIMBoM, a key ingredient of the CoEvolution solution, liaising betwee various related projects and initiatives for mutual learning and knowledge exchange.
