To crop a thumbnail image using the built-in image editor:<\/p>\n<ol data-sourcepos=\"7:1-15:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:31\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:4-7:31\">Go to the <strong>Media Library<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"8:1-8:54\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"8:4-8:54\">Click on the thumbnail image that you want to crop.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:38\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:4-9:38\">Click on the <strong>Edit Image<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-10:30\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"10:4-10:30\">Click on the <strong>Crop<\/strong> tool.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:79\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:4-11:79\">Drag the crop handles to select the area of the image that you want to keep.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-13:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"12:4-12:53\">Click on the <strong>Crop<\/strong> button to save your changes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"14:1-15:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"14:4-14:21\"><strong>Using a plugin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"16:1-16:188\">There are a number of plugins available that offer more flexibility when cropping thumbnail images. One popular plugin is called <strong>Image Regenerate &amp; Select Crop<\/strong>. To use this plugin:<\/p>\n<ol data-sourcepos=\"18:1-25:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"18:1-18:74\">Install and activate the\u00a0<strong>Image Regenerate &amp; Select Crop<\/strong>\u00a0plugin.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"19:1-19:31\">Go to the\u00a0<strong>Media Library<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"20:1-20:54\">Click on the thumbnail image that you want to crop.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"21:1-21:43\">Click on the\u00a0<strong>More Edit Details<\/strong>\u00a0link.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"22:1-22:59\">Click on the\u00a0<strong>Image Regenerate &amp; Select Crop<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"23:1-23:38\">Click on the\u00a0<strong>Regenerate<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"24:1-25:0\">In the\u00a0<strong>Regenerate Thumbnails<\/strong>\u00a0dialog box, select the\u00a0<strong>Crop<\/strong>\u00a0option and then click on the\u00a0<strong>Regenerate<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"26:1-26:187\">Once you have cropped your thumbnail images, you may need to regenerate your thumbnails. To do this, go to <strong>Settings<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Media<\/strong> and then click on the <strong>Regenerate Thumbnails<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"28:1-28:38\"><strong>Tips for cropping thumbnail images<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"30:1-33:123\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"30:1-30:153\">Consider the aspect ratio of your theme.
